Despite coming off the bench, Monk’s role expanded with Zach LaVine and Domantas Sabonis sidelined. Sure enough, he came through with his second 20-point game of the season in his first action since missing two games for personal reasons. If LaVine remains out for additional games, Monk will be worth taking a flier on. Nique Clifford started Wednesday’s victory, finishing with 12 points, three rebounds, three assists, one steal and three three-pointers in 33 minutes.

After missing the last two games for personal reasons, Monk will be available for Wednesday’s game. He’ll likely slide into his usual role off the bench, but there’s a chance he starts since Zach LaVine (back) is questionable. LaVine was also questionable ahead of Monday’s loss to the Nuggets, but started and played 37 minutes.

Monk will miss a second straight game for personal reasons, freeing up additional minutes for a few of the Kings’ other reserves. Russell Westbrook played 34 minutes in Saturday’s win over the Bucks and may take on a similar workload on Monday. However, the Kings can also call on Keon Ellis and Nique Clifford to absorb some of the minutes that would have gone to Monk.

Monk had 15 points in 28 minutes against the Bulls on Wednesday. He’s already been ruled out in advance of Saturday’s game against the Bucks for personal reasons. Russell Westbrook and Keon Ellis will have bigger roles with Monk out.

On the Heels of a 19-point season-opening performance, Monk logged a consecutive productive scoring performance off the bench. He shot efficiently, again, and accounted for nearly half of his team’s three-point total in the win. The veteran guard ultimately used that efficiency from deep to finish as the team’s second-leading scorer. Monk has now scored 39 points and tallied nine three-pointers through two games thus far. He is off to a fast start to begin the season after an injury-plagued 2024-25 campaign.

Monk returned to the Kings’ rotation after missing the final two preseason games due to an illness. He looked sharp offensively, shooting the ball well and scoring 19 of Sacramento’s 37 bench points. Even though he came off the bench, Monk is a more valuable option to fantasy league managers with Keegan Murray (thumb) and Domantas Sabonis (hamstring) unavailable. With spot starters Nique Clifford and Drew Eubanks (4/4/0/2/4) combining to score six points, the Kings needed someone to step up. Although it was in a losing effort, Monk answered the call. Rostered in 36 percent of Yahoo! leagues, he’s worth adding while Murray and Sabonis are out.

Monk will miss a second consecutive preseason game due to illness. With Keegan Murray (thumb) sidelined, Monk is one of the potential replacements in the starting lineup. Keon Ellis is also in the mix, and the absences will likely push him into the starting five for Friday’s preseason finale at a minimum. Rookie Nique Clifford’s playing time may increase, and his name is one to file away for the future due to the positional versatility.

After enduring a two-game slump in which he scored 14 points on 6-of-23 shooting, Monk got untracked Friday night. Facing one of the worst defenses in the NBA, he shot over 50 percent from the field, and the 17 points were the most in a game for Malik since March 20, before he missed three games due to an illness. Friday’s version of Monk is what the Kings and fantasy managers will need on Sunday when Sacramento ends Week 22 with a game in Cleveland.

This was Monk’s third game back from a three-game absence, and he remained in a reserve role for a third-straight game after being a consistent starter since December. He has really struggled since returning from an illness, and that continued in this game. He was able to somewhat make up for a terrible shooting performance with some rebound and assist production, but overall, it was another poor night as a reserve. Keon Ellis continues to start, and there is no reason to think that Monk will reclaim his starting role if he continues to play like this.

After missing Sacramento’s last three games, Monk made his return to the rotation on Thursday. He was listed as a starter and even announced as one in the arena, but he ended up coming off the bench, with Keon Ellis remaining in the starting lineup. Ellis ended up playing 31 minutes to Monk’s 17 and contributing 10 points, three rebounds, two assists, six steals, one block and two triples. It’s unclear if Ellis will continue to start, or if Monk is still getting his conditioning back after dealing with an illness. This is a situation worth keeping an eye on.

Monk will be back after missing Sacramento’s last three games. He should return to his typical spot in the starting unit, which will push Keon Ellis back to the bench. In a reserve role, Ellis doesn’t offer the same upside that he did as a starter.

Tuesday’s game will be Monk’s third straight missed due to illness. Keon Ellis will remain in the starting lineup, and he is worth streaming when allowed to take on those responsibilities. Devin Carter (illness), who has been cleared to play, may pick up a few more minutes off the bench.

Monk and Carter missed Monday’s loss to the Celtics, with the former’s absence opening up a place in the starting lineup. Keon Ellis filled the void, playing 37 minutes, while Markelle Fultz logged 11 as the backup. Ellis will return to the bench if Monk can play, while Carter’s availability does not significantly impact fantasy basketball.

Monk will miss a second-straight game with this illness. Keon Ellis will likely remain in the starting unit once again. Ellis had 20 points, nine rebounds, six assists and three three-pointers in 37 minutes as a starter on Saturday and could be in for another big night.

Monk did not play in Saturday’s loss to the Bucks, with Keon Ellis replacing him in the starting lineup. Ellis would be worth streaming if Monk has to miss another game. As for Carter, the rookie has provided limited fantasy value in a reserve role, so there isn’t much to gain from rostering him in redraft leagues.

Monk will miss Saturday’s game due to illness, opening up a spot in the starting lineup. Keon Ellis is the likely replacement and worth streaming in deep leagues. Devin Carter should play more minutes off the bench, but the rookie should not be viewed as a must-stream player.

Chicago didn’t have any answers for Malik Monk, especially in the first half as he entered the break with 19 points and five three-pointers. He didn’t knock down any triples after halftime, but he was still able to set a new season-high for scoring despite the loss. Monk had quite the rough patch that lasted from the middle of February until last week, but he has figured things out recently. Over Sacramento’s last three games, Monk has averaged 28 points, 6.7 assists and 4.3 three-pointers per game.

Monk has scored 20 points or more in two straight and three of his last five outings. On Wednesday, he recorded a complete stat line, including eight assists, the most he’s had in a game since March 3. Over the past two weeks, Monk has been a top 75 player in eight-cat formats. And it is not unreasonable to expect him to maintain that production level for the remainder of the season.

It has been a rough stretch for Monk, but he had an excellent performance to lead the Kings to a win on Monday. His 28 points were the most that he has scored in a game since he had 31 points in a loss in January. Monk’s production on Wednesday night was similar to what he was producing in December and January, which was one of the best stretches of his career. Hopefully this won’t just be a one-time thing for Monk. He hasn’t played well since they traded De’Aaron Fox, but perhaps this is a sign of things to come.

Monk returned from a three-game absence on Monday and was not under any restrictions. However, there was a quick trip to the locker room during the second half, and the Kings getting blown out ensured Monk a few more minutes on the bench than planned. Monday’s game was his first with 20 points or more since before the All-Star break, and Monk’s scoring has taken a hit since the De’Aaron Fox trade. After averaging 18.0 points per game before February 1, he’s recorded 16.7 since the trade. With the Kings fighting to reach the postseason, they’ll need Monk to be more impactful as a scorer.

Monk returns to the Kings’ lineup after missing three games with a toe injury. Keon Ellis will head to the bench, and while he will remain in the rotation, his fantasy ceiling is considerably lower in this role. The other four starters remain unchanged as Valanciunas continues filling in for the injured Domantas Sabonis.

Monk will be back in the lineup after missing Sacramento’s last three games. Keon Ellis started in his place for those games and averaged 9.7 points, 3.3 rebounds, three assists, 2.3 steals, one block and 1.7 three-pointers per game. Ellis’ fantasy upside will be limited in a likely return to the bench.

Monk will miss a second-straight game with this toe injury, which should result in another start for Keon Ellis. As a starter on Wednesday, Ellis finished with 11 points, seven rebounds, three assists, two steals, two blocks and one three-pointer in 39 minutes. He should be considered a high-priority streaming option until Monk is back.

Monk is dealing with a sore right toe and is not a lock to be available Wednesday night. Keon Ellis is the most likely replacement in the starting lineup if Monk doesn’t play. There may also be additional rotation minutes available to Markelle Fultz, but Ellis is the player fantasy managers should target.
