Moody returned from a 10-game absence with a wrist injury on Monday. Unfortunately, his night ended early with what will end up as a season-ending injury. The former lottery pick had an excellent game in Monday’s win and has enjoyed the best season of his career. However, he won’t be available to help Golden State during the postseason. Gui Santos was pushed to the bench with Moody back, but Santos should be back in the starting lineup, at least until Stephen Curry (knee) returns.

Moody was very active on both ends of the floor in his first 34 minutes back from a 10-game absence — he produced a team-high in points, while his disruptiveness led him to a game-high five stocks. Unfortunately, his final steal came with under one minute left in overtime, which led him to a non-contact knee injury as he tried to finish a fastbreak dunk. The fifth-year guard was stretchered off the floor and did not return. There hasn’t been an official diagnosis yet, but if the injury is as bad as it looked, players such as Gary Payton II, LJ Cryer, and Will Richard should see increased minutes going forward.

The Warriors’ starting unit will feature Moses Moody, who makes his return to the floor after missing the last 10 games with a wrist injury. Additionally, Porzingis will return following a one-game absence to help the Warriors try to end a three-game losing streak. Golden State is 10th in the Western Conference standings entering Monday’s contest.

Moody is available for Monday night, the first game he has appeared in since March 2. Given the time missed, the Warriors’ guard could have his playing time limited for conditioning reasons. LJ Cryer or Nate Williams may fall out of the rotation entirely since Moody is available.

While the Warriors announced on Saturday that Moody would be re-evaluated on Tuesday after the team returns home from its road trip, there’s a chance that he plays on Monday. Getting him back would give the Warriors another option to call upon on the wing, but Moody’s playing time may be limited in his first game.

On Wednesday, it was reported that Moody was not expected to return during the Warriors’ road trip, which concludes on Monday in Dallas. The Warriors essentially confirmed that with Saturday’s update, as the wing won’t be re-evaluated until Tuesday. However, like Stephen Curry, Moody will be incorporated back into practices in the coming days and has intensified his individual on-court workouts.

Moody, who will miss an eighth straight game on Wednesday when the Warriors visit the Celtics, has been out with a sprained right wrist. The fact that his workouts have mainly focused on his left hand, with the right hand/wrist in a brace, is not a good sign regarding his availability. After Wednesday, the Warriors play three more games on their road trip, ending next Monday in Dallas. Those who have held onto Moody would be better off freeing up the roster spot and searching the waiver wire for a healthy contributor.

This will be an eighth straight absence for Moody, and while there is a chance he returns during this road trip, it won’t be against Boston. They have a back-to-back on Friday and Saturday, so he could return this weekend. Will Richard and Gary Payton II will continue to take on extra minutes with Moody out.

Moody will miss a seventh straight game, and it’s unclear when he’ll be available to return. Until Moody is back in action, Will Richard and Gary Payton II should see additional playing time.

That means Moody will miss Friday’s home game against the Timberwolves, which will be his fifth missed game in a row, but could return at any point after that. As of now, his conditioning seems fine, but he is only shooting with his left hand, so we would assume he comes back near the tail end of the road trip, if at all. Moody was playing between 27 and 35 minutes per game before he got hurt, and while the Warriors may ease him back in, he should return to that role soon after his return. That means the current minutes and usage increase for Will Richard, Pat Spencer, and Gary Payton could be nearing an end.

Tuesday’s game will be the fourth that Moody has missed due to a sprained right wrist. Will Richard is off the injury report and is one of the players who will be asked to do more because the Warriors will be shorthanded in the second game of their back-to-back.

Monday’s game will be the third that Moody has missed with a sprained right wrist. Gui Santos has returned to the starting lineup and should retain that role. He should already be rostered in 14-team leagues, and some managers in 12-team formats should consider adding Santos, given the matchup.

Moody was limited to 25 minutes in Monday’s defeat, exiting after suffering right wrist and shoulder injuries during the second half. Warriors head coach Steve Kerr revealed after the game that the guard jammed his right wrist and injured his shoulder, and the team expects to learn more about the severity on Tuesday. If Moody were to miss time, that could open the door for Gui Santos (5/10/3/3 with one three-pointer) to return to the starting lineup after coming off the bench on Monday.

Moody has now made at least three three-pointers in six straight games, good news for fantasy managers who roster for that specific reason. There were other positives to the Warriors’ wing’s performance, as he recorded three assists and two steals. Since the All-Star break, Moody has been close to a top-100 player in category leagues. While his ceiling isn’t as high as Gui Santos’s, Moody is worth rostering in deep leagues as long as Stephen Curry (knee) remains out.

While Moody had a great game on Sunday, it’s difficult to expect him to sustain this level of production. The 23-year-old point guard has more scoring opportunities with Stephen Curry sidelined, which led to 23 points and four three-pointers against the Nuggets. His seven rebounds and five assists seem like they could be outliers as he’s struggled to produce in both categories so far this season. He’s provided just 10th-round value this season. The Warriors have three games upcoming in Week 18, starting with a matchup against the Pelicans on Tuesday.

Moody enters the All-Star break having scored at least 15 points in three consecutive games. However, the lackluster production outside of points, three-pointers and rebounds limits his fantasy ceiling. Over the past two weeks, Moody has been a 12th-round player in eight-cat formats. Because the Warriors have been without Stephen Curry, there’s been more room for Moody to score. However, with Curry expected back immediately after the All-Star break, Moody’s rostership (18 percent, Yahoo!) may decrease.

Limited to six points in Thursday’s comeback win over the Suns, Moody was much better on Saturday. The 25 points were the most in a game for him since January 26, when he scored 26 in a win over the Jazz. While inconsistency can be an issue for Moody, he’s worth rostering in the short term as the Warriors await Stephen Curry’s return. The Warriors play two of their four Week 17 games before the All-Star break, and Curry may miss both, thus enhancing Moody’s fantasy value.

Moody played just 20 minutes in the blowout loss against the 76ers. The 23-year-old had scored at least 19 points in two of his last for games entering play Tuesday, but had just 12 points Tuesday. Moody has provided 13th-round per game value this year. The Warriors will look to bounce back Thursday against the Suns.

Moody was initially listed as probable with a knee injury, so his availability Tuesday against the 76ers isn’t a surprise. The 23-year-old point guard is in line for extra usage with Stephen Curry (knee) sidelined against Philadelphia.

Moody has been a consistent starter for most of the year, and that is expected to continue against Philadelphia. He has scored in double figures in 10 straight games, and with Stephen Curry (knee) sidelined, he should be asked to take on plenty of usage on offense.

Recording his first 20-point game in nearly two weeks, Moody had one of his best games of the season on Wednesday. The 26 points were the most he’s tallied in a game since November 16, when the Warriors’ guard dropped a season-high 32. With Jimmy Butler (knee) done for the rest of the season, the Warriors will need increased production from the supporting cast, including Moody. While his season-long fantasy value remains low, the circumstances make Moody a player worth adding in standard leagues.

Moody’s role in the offense continues to grow with Jimmy Butler III (knee) and Jonathan Kuminga (knee) out of the lineup. The 23-year-old guard has made at least three three-pointers in six of the last seven games. Moody isn’t going to provide much in the other categories, but he can have some value in deeper formats for fantasy managers that need help from behind the three-point arc.

Moody did his damage during the first three quarters of Thursday’s victory, shooting 7-of-9 from the field, with eight of those attempts coming from beyond the arc. Over his last two games, the 2021 first-round pick has knocked down 11 three-pointers. While fellow 2021 first-round pick Jonathan Kuminga requested to be traded on Thursday, Moody has carved out a consistent role for himself as part of the Warriors’ starting lineup. However, from a fantasy standpoint, he’s a three-point specialist at best.

After totaling 14 points on 5-of-21 shooting in his previous three games, Moody had a better night on Friday despite the Warriors losing by 37 points. His fantasy value remains low overall, but he hasn’t even cracked the top-200 in eight-cat formats over the past two weeks. Even with Moody being a starter on most nights, there’s no reason to roster him in most redraft leagues.

After totaling eight points on 3-of-14 shooting in his two previous games, Moody enjoyed one of his best nights of the season on Monday. This was his first game with at least 20 points in over a month and fifth of the season. While his fantasy value remains relatively low, with Moody sitting outside the top-150 in eight-cat formats, he’s done enough to earn consistent playing time. That keeps him on the radar in some deep leagues, especially when he’s playing starters’ minutes.

On a night when Stephen Curry (9/5/3/0/1 with one three-pointer) shot 2-of-11 from the field, Moody came through with a huge night. And he didn’t take long to get going, hitting seven three-pointers in the first quarter. He’s the third player in franchise history to hit at least seven threes in a quarter, joining Curry and Klay Thompson. Moody, who has started the last three games in place of the injured Jonathan Kuminga, finished with a career-high point total and solid value in the defensive categories. Moody’s fantasy value in the short term depends on Kuminga’s availability, and the Warriors open Week 5 with a Tuesday/Wednesday road back-to-back against the Magic and Heat.

Moody got the start against the Spurs and added another strong performance. His biggest impact on Wednesday came from beyond the arc, where he made half of his attempts and finished as one of three Warriors players with at least five makes from deep. His impact on the offensive end was evident, and as he continues to produce, he could remain in the starting lineup going forward.

While Jonathan Kuminga (knee) and Quinten Post (Achilles) are available, neither will be in the starting lineup on Wednesday. Moody and Richard have replaced them, and the changes also mean that Draymond will likely begin the game as Victor Wembanyama’s primary defender. Of the two replacements in the starting lineup, Moody is the safer streaming choice.
