The lone change to the starting lineup is Mamukelashvili, who starts after coming off the bench in Sunday’s win over the Warriors. RJ Barrett, who returned from a knee injury the day prior, is not available for injury management reasons.

Mamukelashvili drew the starting assignment in this one with center Jakob Poeltl (back) missing his second straight game due to a lower back injury. The 26-year-old big man took full advantage of his opportunity, knocking down a season-high six three-pointers to finish with a team-high 24 points on just 13 shots. He offers enough scoring upside to emerge as a relevant fantasy option in deeper leagues if Poeltl winds up requiring an extended absence.

Jakob Poeltl (back) will miss a second straight game due to a lower back injury that first became problematic during the preseason. Mamukelashvili, who scored 18 points in Thursday’s win over the Bucks, will fill the void. He’s worth streaming in deep leagues when allowed to start.

Jakob Poeltl’s lower back has been an issue throughout the season, and it kept him out of Thursday’s game. As a result, Mamukelashvili made his third start and had one of his best outings of the season. The 18 points were the most in a game for him since November 21, when Mamu dropped a season-high 23 on the Wizards. With Toronto ending its week with a Saturday/Sunday back-to-back, there may be at least one more start in the cards for Mamukelashvili, if not two.

Due to lower back injury management, starting center Jakob Poeltl will not play on Thursday. He’s been replaced in the lineup by Mamukelashvili, who is worth rostering in deep leagues even when Poeltl is available. Collin Murray-Boyles will also have added fantasy value, but Mamu is the preferred option.

Mamukelashvili endured some struggles finishing around the basket during the first half, but that did not prevent him from having his most productive outing of the season. He recorded his first 20-point game of the season and provided solid value in the rebound category. With Collin Murray-Boyles (knee) out, there’s even more room for Mamukelashvili to have an impact. He hasn’t reached the point where he needs to be rostered in deep leagues, but keep an eye on Mamu.

After missing Toronto’s last game with a neck injury, Mamu was able to make a big impact in their win in Cleveland. Collin Murray-Boyles (illness) was sidelined, which opened the door for Mamu to play a larger role. He took advantage and scored in double figures for the fourth straight game. Mamu isn’t worth rostering at this point, but if he gets the chance to start in the future when Jakob Poeltl misses time, he’ll hold some streaming value.

After missing Tuesday’s game, Mamu will be back in the lineup. With Collin Murray-Boyles (illness) out, Mamu will fill out the backup center minutes behind Jakob Poeltl.

Mamukelashvili did not play in Tuesday’s win over the Nets, which led to Jamison Battle playing 13 minutes off the bench. There’s no need to consider rostering Battle, even if Mamukelashvili remains out for another game.

Initially questionable for Tuesday’s game, Mamukelashvili has been downgraded to out. There may be minutes available to Jonathan Mogbo, but not to the point where he would impact fantasy basketball. Leave him on the waiver wire.

Mamukelashvili is dealing with neck stiffness, which raises some doubt about his availability for Tuesday night. If he’s unable to play, Jonathan Mogbo could return to the rotation after picking up a DNP-CD in Saturday’s loss to the 76ers. Mogbo would not be worth streaming, even with starting center Jakob Poeltl’s back issues.

Having totaled 11 points in his first two games as a Raptor, Mamukelashvili exceeded that number on Sunday. He shot 75 percent from the field, playing well enough to replace starting center Jakob Poeltl in the lineup to begin the third quarter. Poeltl played 19 minutes, finishing with four points, eight rebounds, four assists and one steal. Given the time Poeltl missed during the preseason, the minutes may have been limited due to the Raptors taking on San Antonio on Monday. Regardless of the reason, Mamukelashvili has quickly established himself as Toronto’s best big man off the bench.

Mamukelashvili, who starred for Georgia at EuroBasket this summer, made a positive impression in his Raptors preseason debut. The forward/center made the most of his 23 minutes on the floor, shooting 75 percent from the field and finishing a blocked shot shy of a complete stat line. Even with Jakob Poeltl sitting out Monday’s game, Mamukelashvili came off the bench, with Jonathan Mogbo (6/2/0/2) receiving the starting nod. Given his shooting ability, Mamu will be part of the rotation once the regular season begins. However, his touches may be limited due to Toronto’s many scoring options on the perimeter and the wings.

Georgia’s FIBA EuroBasket run ended in the quarterfinals, as they were unable to fully bounce back from a slow start against Finland. Mamukelashvili, who played well throughout the tournament, led the way offensively and was impactful on both ends of the floor. However, the Georgians could not get any closer than six points before losing by a 93-79 final score. The fourth-quarter ejections of Goga Bitadze and Toko Shengelia for unsportsmanlike fouls were especially impactful for Georgia, which was making its first quarterfinal appearance.

Less than 24 hours after Finland stunned Serbia, Mamukelashvili and Georgia bounced France from FIBA EuroBasket. The Raptors center/forward recorded his first double-double of the event and was a blocked shot shy of a complete stat line. Former Butler guard Kamar Baldwin led the way for the Georgians, dropping 24 points on 8-of-10 shooting from the field and 5-of-5 from the foul line. Another factor in the outcome was three-point shooting, as Georgia shot 10-of-18 while France made just six of its 36 attempts. Next up for Georgia is a quarterfinal matchup with Finland.

Mamukelashvili and the Georgians got their EuroBasket campaign off to an excellent start, knocking off the reigning champions Spain on Thursday. Having agreed to a two-year deal with the Raptors at the beginning of free agency, the 6-foot-9 forward stands to take on a more stable role than he did last season with the Spurs. Offensively, Mamukelashvili was efficient, making plays for himself while also leading Georgia in assists. While he’ll likely take on a backup role with the Raptors, Mamukelashvili will be worth watching during the preseason, especially if Toronto moves to address its logjam on the wings.

The deal includes a second year player option, according to Charania. Mamukelashvili appeared in 61 games with the Spurs last year, averaging 6.3 points, 3.1 rebounds and 0.8 assists. The 26-year-old center shot 37 percent from behind the three-point line on 2.6 three-point attempts per game. Mamukelashvili figures to help space the floor as the backup center in Toronto.

With Harrison Barnes shut down at halftime, Mamukelashvili started the second half of Friday’s game. The 2021 second-round pick had a productive night, shooting over 50 percent from the field and finishing one block shy of a complete stat line. Since Barnes is looking to play all 82 games, he’ll likely start Sunday’s game against the Raptors. But there should still be plenty of playing time available to Mamukelashvili, who can provide value in those situations.

Born in New York City and an alumnus of Seton Hall, Mamukelashvili had the best night of his NBA career on Wednesday. According to Justin Russo, he became the first player in NBA history to record at least 34 points and five rebounds in fewer than 20 minutes. While Mamukelashvili has rarely been a fantasy asset, he’s the kind of player who can emerge during the “silly season.” And with the Spurs playing two lottery-bound teams (Philadelphia and Toronto) to end Week 20, it would be unsurprising if Mamu could provide consistent value.
