With Joel Embiid and Paul George sitting out due to injury management, many likely expected a big afternoon from Maxey. Unfortunately for him and the 76ers, the Hornets had other ideas. Maxey had one of his worst games of the season, missing all three of his three-point attempts and shooting 33.3 percent from inside the arc. The seven assists were nice, but fantasy managers are left to hope that Maxey bounces back on Tuesday against the Bucks.

Since being limited to 14 points in a January 14 blowout loss to the Cavaliers, Maxey has scored at least 20 points in five consecutive games. He had an efficient afternoon against the Knicks, but the third quarter was once again an issue for Maxey and the 76ers. He shot 1-of-5 from the field in the frame, and Philadelphia was outscored by a 30-13 margin. The 76ers rallied in the fourth, but the deficit was too big to erase.

Maxey has now scored at least 30 points in 20 of the 41 games he’s played this season. And on Thursday, he was at his best when the 76ers needed him most, shooting 6-of-9 from the field in the fourth quarter and overtime. Maxey’s double-double was his fifth of the season and first since New Year’s Day. The 76ers will end Week 14 with a Saturday afternoon matinee against the Knicks.

Maxey extended his streak of games with at least 20 points to three, but the Suns made him work for everything he got on Tuesday. The good news for fantasy managers is that Maxey did not compound the poor shooting with a high turnover count. He only committed two, and low-turnover nights have been the norm for the All-Star Game starter throughout his NBA career.

Hours after being named an All-Star starter, Maxey was able to turn in a monster stat line. Most of the numbers are things he has done all season, but he was able to set a new career high for steals, obliterating his previous mark of five. Maxey proved why he deserved the starting spot, and he’ll continue to be a dominant player in fantasy basketball for the remainder of the season. Next up is a matchup with the Suns on Tuesday.

Maxey didn’t do as much as a scorer, but he was able to contribute value across the board. He matched his career high for steals, which he has set two other times this season already. This game came after he was held to 14 points against the Cavs on Wednesday, so while it was a rough two-game series as a scorer, he was able to contribute in a bunch of other categories in this game. He’ll look to get back on track against the Pacers on Monday.

Give the Cavaliers credit for their work on the defensive end of the floor, especially in terms of defending Maxey. He never seemed comfortable offensively, resulting in one of his poorer performances of the season. Nights like Wednesday have not been the norm for Maxey, who should be an All-Star this season. So, fantasy managers should bank on his putting forth a better performance in Friday’s rematch.

One day after scoring 38 points in a loss to the Raptors, Maxey dropped in another 33 in Monday’s rematch. He’s played at an All-Star level this season and is ranked among the best players in fantasy basketball, regardless of league format. The lone negative for Maxey managers is Philadelphia’s schedule: they have only two games left in Week 13 and will be finished on Friday.

Maxey heated up in the second quarter, finishing the opening half with a team-high 14 points, despite going just 4-of-10 from the floor. He took over the game in the second half, scoring 24 of his 38 points in the final two quarters and overtime, including a trio of key buckets in the final minute. The 25-year-old scoring machine drained a clutch step back three-pointer with 20 seconds left to give Philadelphia a four-point advantage which they were unable to hang onto. He finished just shy of reaching the 40-point plateau for the fifth time this season and has scored at least 27 points in 10 of his last 12 games since December 19. The two teams will square off again on Monday night for the tail-end of a back-to-back as the 76ers kick off a three-game week that also includes a pair of showdowns against the Cavaliers.

Maxey has scored at least 27 points in seven of his last eight games. The 25-year-old point guard had a highlight layup late in the third quarter where he displayed perfect footwork as he broke down the defender for the easy bucket. It was truly a Maxey masterclass. He’s fourth overall in all of fantasy basketball in per game value this season. The 76ers close out the week Sunday against the Raptors.

Maxey remained on a tear in this game, though it wasn’t enough for the 76ers to continue their win streak. This was the sixth straight game that Maxey scored a least 25 points, and there have been plenty of stats in other categories along the way. Maxey has been one of the best players in fantasy basketball this season, and that hasn’t slowed down with despite the 76ers getting healthy. This is Maxey’s team, and he’ll continue to shine.

The 76ers and Knicks have met twice this season, and New York has failed to find an answer for Maxey in both meetings. The 76ers point guard ends Week 11 on a heater, having scored at least 34 points in three consecutive games. Maxey has ranked among the most valuable players in fantasy basketball regardless of league format, and that shouldn’t change anytime soon. Philadelphia plays four games in Week 12, starting with the Nuggets on Monday.

Back in his hometown, Maxey recorded his eighth career 30-point, 10-assist game and second in as many appearances. The 76ers guard has been outstanding this season, providing top-5 per-game value in eight- and nine-cat formats. Even with the availability concerns of Joel Embiid and Paul George (14/7/2/1), the 76ers have managed to stay afloat, thanks in part to Maxey. Now, with those two healthy, the 76ers appear poised to be a factor in the East.

After a subpar three-game stretch, Maxey got back on track in this one. It shouldn’t come as a surprise that the 76ers’ three-game losing streak ended as a result. This was only Maxey’s third double-double of the season and his first since October. The points have been consistent, but he hasn’t been a consistently elite playmaker like he was in this game. He’ll look to carry this offensive production into a matchup with the Mavericks on Thursday.

Maxey was one of the few bright spots for Philadelphia in this one as the Thunder threw a variety of defenders at him but were still unable to contain the speedy scoring threat. The 25-year-old guard finished just shy of another 30-point performance despite going just 2-of-7 from three-point range. He’s clearly taken over as the 76ers primary building block moving forward and has delivered first-round value for fantasy purposes, averaging 30.7 points, 4.4 rebounds, 6.9 assists, 1.8 steals and 0.9 blocks through 28 games this season. Philadelphia is on the road for three games this upcoming week with matchups against the Grizzlies, Mavericks and Knicks.

Maxey struggled with his shooting efficiency in Friday’s loss. He started and ended the game cold, while 18 of his points came in the middle two quarters of the game. Although he was inaccurate overall, his five triples were helpful in helping him finish the night with a good fantasy basketball performance, as was his facilitating. Maxey has now shot 12-of-38 from the floor in his last two appearances, which were both Sixers losses. He’ll have a chance to bounce back on Sunday against the Thunder.

Tuesday ranked among Maxey’s worst performances of the season, as he started 1-of-10 from the field. The good news for fantasy managers was that he recorded four steals, but this was a forgettable night otherwise. He’ll look to bounce back on Friday when the 76ers visit the Bulls.

Maxey has 68 points in his last two games after missing the two games prior with an illness. The 25-year-old point guard has now scored at least 30 points 14 times this year. Maxey has provided top-five per-game value in fantasy basketball leagues this season. The 76ers have three games in Week 10, starting with a matchup with the Nets on Tuesday.

Back in the 76ers’ lineup after missing two games due to a bad case of the flu, Maxey made up for lost time on Friday. He has now scored at least 30 points in 13 of his 24 appearances, continuing to lead the way for the 76ers. Maxey is providing top-5 per-game value in eight- and nine-cat formats, placing himself among the most prolific (and consistent) players in fantasy basketball. Philadelphia concludes Week 9 with a game against the Mavericks on Saturday.

After a two-game absence, Maxey is off the injury report and will play on Friday. His return means that Quentin Grimes will head back to the bench, where his fantasy ceiling is lowered. However, Grimes is still worth holding onto in deep leagues.

No surprise here, as Maxey was listed as doubtful on Sunday evening. Maxey sat out Friday’s matchup with the Pacers, and Quentin Grimes replaced him in the starting five, posting a 10/9/4/1/1 line with a pair of triples. Grimes is likely to remain in the starting lineup for a second straight game.

Maxey did not play in Friday’s win over the Pacers, with Quentin Grimes replacing him in the starting lineup. The 76ers would likely stick to that approach on Sunday, which also means more playmaking responsibilities for VJ Edgecombe and Paul George.

Maxey’s status was downgraded from probable to questionable on Friday morning, so things may have been trending in this direction. He’s been one of the best players in fantasy basketball this season, and the 76ers won’t have an easy time filling the void. Jared McCain could potentially move into the starting lineup, with VJ Edgecombe and Quentin Grimes in line to receive boosts to their opportunities as well. Kyle Lowry is another option to step in for Maxey, but he is not worth streaming.

Maxey was listed as probable on Friday, so his downgraded status suggests he’s in danger of sitting out against Indiana. If Maxey is unable to go, Jared McCain, VJ Edgecombe and Quentin Grimes could pick up the slack using a committee approach.

Maxey is on the injury report with an illness, but appears to be in little danger of missing Friday’s game against the Pacers given his probable designation. The 25-year-old point guard has an incredible matchup against the lowly Pacers.

On a night when Joel Embiid and Paul George (12/6/3/1) combined to score 28 points on 7-of-29 shooting, Maxey did his best to keep the 76ers afloat. Unfortunately for him, another poor third quarter did in the 76ers, with the Lakers winning the period by a 34-24 margin. Maxey finished with another excellent stat line, and he continues to provide top-five value in eight- and nine-cat formats. The 76ers play games on Friday and Sunday during Week 8, starting with the Pacers at home.

Maxey had one of his least productive offensive performances of the season on Friday. He scored fewer the 20 points for the first time, due to inefficient shooting and relatively low volume, but also wasn’t as productive as a passer against the Bucks. The versatile combo guard made up for his lack of offensive output on the defensive end, however. Philadelphia ultimately didn’t need Maxey to be in top form, as the team cruised to a 15-point road win on the second night of a back-to-back. Maxey, one of the NBA’s top scorers, likely won’t have another performance like Friday’s for a little while. He should resume his offensive domination on Sunday against the Lakers.

With Joel Embiid under a minutes restriction and Paul George unavailable, Maxey was once again left to shoulder the offensive workload on Thursday. He had an excellent night, marking the ninth game this season in which he’s scored at least 35 points. And Maxey’s lone blocked shot was huge, as his rejection of a De’Anthony Melton shot attempt as time expired preserved the one-point victory. While many expected Maxey to provide excellent fantasy value this season, he has exceeded his Yahoo! ADP, providing top-5 value in eight-cat formats.

Maxey didn’t need long to dominate the lowly Wizards. His 29 minutes were the fewest he has played in a game this season, and he was able to lead both teams in scoring to help the 76ers rebound after a double-overtime loss on Sunday. Maxey also matched his season high for steals. There were questions in the past about how Joel Embiid or Paul George would impact Maxey, but it has become clear this year that this is now his team.

Maxey’s late-game heroics helped force the first overtime, but he also faltered late, which resulted in a second overtime. He hit a three-pointer off an offensive rebound late in the fourth quarter to tie the game, but with a chance to seal the win in overtime, he missed two free throws. Still, it was an excellent performance for Maxey, which led to him exceeding 40 points for the fourth time this season. Even with Joel Embiid back and Paul George healthy, this is clearly Tyrese Maxey’s team.
