Nurkić remained in the starting lineup in place of Walker Kessler (shoulder) for a second straight game, and Kessler is set to miss at least two more games. Nurk’s first start was disappointing, but a double-double in 31minutes is intriguing. With two more starts this week, Nurkić is worth considering as a streaming option, and he is currently available in roughly 90 percent of Yahoo! leagues.

Nurk will be available after initially being listed as questionable for this game. He has been filling out the backup center minutes behind Walker Kessler, which will be a role he continues to play against his former team.

Nurkić is dealing with a right hip contusion. If he’s unable to play, Kevin Love could be tabbed to take on some minutes as Walker Kessler’s backup. The veteran forward, the subject of contract buyout rumors during the offseason, has not appeared in a game this season. There’s no need to consider streaming Love if Nurkić can’t play.

The first-year member of the Jazz had another nice preseason outing, following a couple of 12-point performances in the two previous games. He crashed the glass hard on Monday and recorded more boards than his previous total through the first two preseason games. Notably, the veteran center drilled a pair of three-pointers and has now tallied at least one make from beyond the arc in all three preseason games. If he remains the starting center into the regular season, Nurkic could be a double-double threat on a nightly basis.

Nurkić started his unofficial Jazz debut on Wednesday, as the Jazz were without starting center Walker Kessler. And the veteran center looked good against the Rockets, not missing a shot from the field and finishing a blocked shot shy of a complete stat line. While there could be times when Nurkić is worth streaming, he isn’t a player that fantasy managers should plan on drafting. That also goes for Kevin Love, who played 20 minutes off the bench and finished with 12 points, six rebounds, two assists, one steal and two three-pointers. Both veterans may be trade candidates this season, especially if Utah is in “lottery odds” mode near the February trade deadline.

Nurkić ended his run at the 2025 FIBA EuroBasket with another solid performance, leading Bosnia and Herzegovina in scoring and rebounding. Unfortunately for him, it was not enough to hold off Poland, which was led by former Raptors guard Jordan Loyd (28 points). In five games, Nurkić averaged 17.0 points, 8.7 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 1.5 steals, 1.0 blocks and 1.0 three-pointers. Having been dealt to the Jazz this offseason, the veteran center should slot in behind Walker Kessler on the depth chart. And with Utah continuing its rebuild, that is not a great spot to be in concerning fantasy value.

Nurkic has been playing well during the last few EuroBasket games for Bosnia and Herzegovina, which includes three straight double-doubles. His NBA reputation has gone downhill over the last couple seasons, but strong performances like this could help him improve his standing. However, on a rebuilding Jazz team, there won’t be much motivation to play him big minutes.

Nurkic finished with another strong performance in Eurobasket as Bosnia and Herzegovina narrowly defeated Greece. The big man will likely operate as a reserve with limited playing time in Utah’s crowded frontcourt for the 2025-26 campaign, but he should continue to be featured for his national team.

Having been called out before the tournament by his national team coach for being out of shape, Nurkić played well in Bosnia and Herzegovina’s 91-64 win over Cyprus in the EuroBasket opener for both nations. In the veteran center’s defense, his 2024-25 NBA season may not have done him any favors regarding physical fitness. Nurkić’s season got off to a rocky start in Phoenix, and he only started nine of the 26 games he played for the Hornets after being traded at the February deadline. Charlotte traded him to Utah this summer, and Nurkić will back up Walker Kessler next season unless there’s a drastic shift. That doesn’t do him any favors regarding fantasy value, which was already low.

Acquired from the Suns at the February trade deadline, Nurkic is headed back to the Western Conference. His fit in Phoenix was awkward, and opportunities in Charlotte were somewhat limited after Mark Williams returned from injury and a failed trade to the Lakers. Nurkic appeared in 51 games last season, averaging 8.9 points, 7.8 rebounds and 2.3 assists in 20.8 minutes. With Utah having Walker Kessler on the roster, there won’t be much room for Nurkic to impact fantasy basketball next season. He won’t be worth the risk in fantasy drafts.

Nurkic scored at least 14 points in four straight games to end the regular season and nearly wound up with a double-double here. The 30-year-old big put together some solid stat lines even when Mark Williams played on several occasions. Nurkic has one year remaining on his four-year, $70 million contract he signed with the Suns in 2022. His role for next year in Charlotte is up in the air and it would not be surprising if he were dealt.

Nurkic was the nominal starting center, though he logged limited minutes and ceded playing time to the likes of Taj Gibson and Moussa Diabate. His 22 minutes were enough time to help fantasy managers, as he concluded with a big double-double, meaningful defensive contributions and even a pair of triples. Nurkic is worth streaming when Mark Williams is out, but be weary of Charlotte’s minutes distribution.

Nurkic played 10 minutes on Monday, and with Mark Williams healthy, he won’t see a significant boost in minutes if he plays. If he is sidelined, Moussa Diabate would likely take on the extra minutes at the backup center spot behind Williams.

Nurkic is available after sitting out Saturday’s win over the Nets. However, with Mark Williams also available, the veteran center’s fantasy value will be limited. Moussa Diabate may also take a hit to his playing time with the Hornets back to full strength in the paint.

Nurkic has a sore neck and did not play against the Nets on Saturday. With Mark Williams also out, Moussa Diabate started and played 37 minutes. Williams and Diabate are available for Monday’s game, so there may not be much urgency to clear Nurkic.

Nurkic came down hard and awkwardly on his neck after finishing a dunk in Friday’s loss to Cleveland. The injury appeared serious on replay, but fortunately, Nurkic’s injury is described simply as soreness. With he and Mark Williams sidelined, expect Moussa Diabate to see big minutes.

Nurkic is rostered in most leagues so he doesn’t count as a streamer, but the 30-year-old center did an admirable job filling in for Mark Williams against the Cavaliers on Friday. Despite a difficult matchup against Jarrett Allen, Nurkic was able to record a double-double. He played 28 minutes against Cleveland and showed once again he’s fantasy-viable when given adequate playing time.

Green is back after sitting out Wednesday’s loss to the Timberwolves, with his return pushing Nick Smith Jr. to the bench. The other change is Nurkic, who will fill the void left by Mark Williams. Nurkic is already rostered in most standard leagues, while Green hasn’t done enough to merit being rostered in most leagues.

Despite a lingering back issue, Nurkic is healthy enough to play in Friday’s game. With Mark Williams out, more minutes will be available to Nurkic, but Moussa Diabate should play plenty.

Nurkic is still dealing with a back issue, but it isn’t expected to keep him out of the lineup. Mark Williams has been ruled out against Cleveland, and even if Nurkic doesn’t move into the starting lineup, he should see a boost in minutes after logging just 12 minutes on Wednesday.

Nurkic’s availability is of greater importance to fantasy basketball, as he will likely be Mark Williams’ backup. If so, Moussa Diabate’s playing time will decrease if he remains in the rotation. As for Gibson, he isn’t a lock to see action.

Both bigs are expected to be available for Charlotte against Minnesota, but with Mark Williams available, neither will play a significant role. Nurkic played 15 minutes off the bench on Monday and is more likely to fill the primary reserve center role than Gibson, though Moussa Diabate will be in the conversation as well.

Neither Nurkic nor Salaun appeared in Charlotte’s last two games, most recently sitting out Thursday’s loss to the Mavericks. They’ll be backups if allowed to play against the Wizards, limiting their fantasy ceilings. Salaun may have added value during the “silly season,” especially if the Hornets prioritize getting their lottery pick more minutes.

Nurkic notched a DNP-CD on Tuesday against the Warriors and has now been ruled out with an illness. It appears likely Moussa Diabate will serve as Mark Williams’ primary backup on Thursday.
