Nance will miss a second straight game to wrap up the season. Jericho Sims played 30 minutes on Friday but should play even more minutes with Myles Turner (ankle) out as well.

Making his fifth start of the season, Nance recorded the first double-double of his NBA career on Friday. The Bucks forward shot 4-of-9 from beyond the arc, and the ten rebounds represent a new career-high. As a starter, Nance played 33 minutes on Friday. And with it being highly unlikely that Giannis Antetokounmpo is back for Sunday’s game against the Grizzlies, Nance may get another start. He’s a risky play in fantasy leagues, but the minutes are there.

Nance was one of Milwaukee’s top scorers in Wednesday’s loss. He shot the basketball with extreme efficiency and did most of his damage from the three-point line. As a result, he finished with a season-high in points. The rookie forward will continue to see starter minutes so long as key Milwaukee frontcourt members remain sidelined.

The Bucks are without Myles Turner and Bobby Portis for Wednesday’s game, so Nance moves into the starting lineup. The other change to the lineup is Green, who replaces Taurean Prince.

Having appeared in 37 games and been active for a few others, Nance was approaching his 50-game limit as a two-way contract player. Monday’s transaction was a deserved reward for the forward, who has averaged 4.5 points and 2.2 rebounds in 12.1 minutes per game this season. In a corresponding move, the Bucks waived Cam Thomas to free up a standard contract slot.

Nance, who played 10 minutes in Monday’s loss to the Magic, suffered a sprained left ankle. His potential absence would likely lead to Bobby Portis and Kyle Kuzma playing more, as neither played 20 minutes on Monday.

The three-point shot was a significant positive for Nance on Monday, which he utilized to finish with a team-high in points in the win over Miami. The high-scoring outing came in 17 minutes of game action, with the process resembling his most productive games during the Summer League. As Nance remains on a two-way contract with the Bucks, he’ll likely see more chances throughout the season to impress.

Nance recorded a complete stat line for the Bucks for the second consecutive game. He’s on a two-way deal, so nothing is guaranteed for the former Northwestern forward regarding the 2025-26 season. With the Bucks waiving Chris Livingston (21/9/5/0/2 with two three-pointers) in early July and having a couple of open standard contract slots available, it’s fair to question what a good stint in Las Vegas can do for Nance.

Two of Milwaukee’s three two-way contract players saw action on Thursday, and both were factors in the team’s one-point victory. Nance offered solid value across the board, while guard Jamaree Bouyea (13/3/5/1/1 with three three-pointers) hit a step-back three as time expired to give Milwaukee the win. Neither Nance nor Bouyea has been able to do enough to stick in the NBA, but the situation in Milwaukee is an interesting one. Neither should be targeted in fantasy drafts, but there may come a time when there is streaming value to be had.

To make room for Nance’s roster spot, Milwaukee waived Liam Robbins. Nance was on a two-way deal with the 76ers earlier in the season but was waived a few weeks prior to this. He’ll likely spend most of his time in the G-League.
