Olynyk will be available for a third straight game, which means he will be the primary backup center. However, he has played fewer than 10 minutes in each game he has played in this season.

Olynyk returned from a heel injury to play in the Spurs’ last two games. It remains an open question if he’ll play the second game of a back-to-back against the Pelicans on Saturday. Olynyk doesn’t have much fantasy value as the backup center even if he’s available.

Olynyk, who made his season debut on Wednesday, is good to go after being listed as questionable on the initial injury report. He’ll serve as Victor Wembanyama’s primary backup, which isn’t a spot where much fantasy value can be provided unless the Spurs phenom gets into early foul trouble.

Olynyk logged nine minutes in his season debut against the Lakers on Wednesday and is now back on the injury report. If he doesn’t suit up, Bismack Biyombo will fill out the backup center minutes, though that won’t be a large role with Victor Wembanyama healthy.

Olynyk, working his way back from April heel surgery, has yet to appear in a game for the Spurs. There’s a chance this changes on Wednesday, with the veteran providing additional depth in the frontcourt. With Luke Kornet (ankle) still out, Bismack Biyombo will continue to serve as the backup center if Olynyk remains out. There’s no need to consider streaming him.

Olynyk, who is working his way back from April heel surgery, has yet to appear in a game for the Spurs. There’s a small chance this changes on Wednesday, but the doubtful tag likely means he’ll miss at least one more game. With Luke Kornet (ankle) still out, Bismack Biyombo will continue to serve as the backup center. There’s no need to consider streaming him.

Olynyk, who underwent left heel surgery in late April, has yet to reach the point where he can play in games. His continued absence ensures that Bismack Biyombo will be the backup center since the Spurs are also without Luke Kornet (ankle).

Olynyk will miss a second straight game to open the year, which means Luke Kornet will fill out the backup center minutes behind Victor Wembanyama once again. Kornet played 18 minutes on Wednesday and should see a similar workload with Olynyk out.

Olynyk is still recovering from the heel surgery he underwent in late April. The Spurs signed Luke Kornet in free agency, so they’re covered from a depth standpoint. Kornet slots in as Victor Wembanyama’s backup, which is not a good place to be regarding fantasy relevance.

Olynyk was traded to Washington just before the draft, and now he’s headed to San Antonio, where he will play some reserve minutes behind Victor Wembanyama. He’ll split time with Luke Kornet, though he will also be able to spend time next to Kornet or Wemby in larger lineups due to his ability to space the floor. This is the third time that Olynyk has been traded since the start of this past season; he opened the year with Toronto and was sent to New Orleans during the season.

Olynyk will head to Washington in a deal involving CJ McCollum, Jordan Poole, Saddiq Bey and picks. Washington’s frontcourt features Bilal Coulibaly and Alex Sarr, two players who the Wizards will surely prioritize developing in 2025-26. That means Olynyk could see rotational minutes off the bench or even be re-routed before the season starts. No matter what uniform he wears next season, Olynyk should have deep-league value thanks to his ability to contribute across multiple categories.

The recovery timetable for this procedure is three-to-four months, so Olynyk should be back before training camp. Olynyk was in and out of the lineup just before the end of the regular season, though that can at least partially be attributed to New Orleans looking to improve its lottery odds. Olynyk is entering the final season of a two-year deal that he initially signed with the Raptors.

Olynyk will miss New Orleans’ final three games, ending a disappointing fantasy season for the veteran center/power forward. Olynyk did not offer much fantasy value until he was traded from Toronto to New Orleans, and he needed Zion Williamson’s absence to do that. At this stage in his career, Olynyk is essentially a “silly season” hero in fantasy basketball, and even that isn’t guaranteed. Due to New Orleans’ depleted frontcourt, Kylor Kelley and Jeremiah Robinson-Earl will play significant minutes.

Olynyk will receive a rest day on Sunday, opening up a spot in the starting lineup. Pelicans coach Willie Green has been willing to start Karlo Matkovic alongside Yves Missi in the past, and he may take a similar approach on Sunday. Another potential replacement is Jeremiah Robinson-Earl, who does not offer much streaming value as a starter.

While Olynyk’s case of Achilles tendonosis is a new injury, this is not the first time Hawkins has dealt with lower back spasms. Karlo Matkovic’s minutes would increase if Olynyk cannot play, with the rookie possibly moving into the starting lineup. As for what the Pelicans would do if Hawkins cannot play, Antonio Reeves will likely play additional minutes.

Olynyk has been a consistent presence in the starting lineup since being traded to New Orleans, but this may have been his best performance as a Pelican. He recorded his second double-double since the trade, and he dished out seven dimes for the third time with New Orleans, all of which have come during their last six games. Olynyk has once again been able to thrive while playing significant minutes on a tanking team, and as long as he is available, he should continue to provide strong value for the rest of the season.

Olynyk is dealing with a sprained finger on his left hand, hence his inclusion on the Pelicans’ injury report. Zion Williamson is also questionable for Monday’s game, so he could fill the void if Olynyk cannot play. The Pelicans can also call on Bruce Brown, who has started the last three games and can provide solid value when in that role.

Olynyk missed Thursday’s loss to the Magic for personal reasons, so Bruce Brown moved into the starting lineup. With Yves Missi (ankle) questionable for Saturday’s game, Olynyk could replace Karlo Matkovic in the starting lineup, taking over the center responsibilities. If Missi can play, Brown will likely head to the bench.

Olynyk has fit in perfectly with the Pelicans since coming over from the Raptors in the Brandon Ingram trade. The 33-year-old center is worth rostering as long as he’s starting, but the Pelicans are beginning to give him days off for rest as their season winds down. Karlo Matkovic will likely move into the starting lineup and has fantasy appeal as well.

Did the Pelicans view Olynyk as an excellent fit next to Zion Williamson and Yves Missi when they acquired him from the Raptors? If so, the front office deserves credit for getting him in the Brandon Ingram trade. Olynyk was excellent against the Jazz, scoring 26 points on efficient shooting. With Williamson and Missi on the court, there’s a need for a spacer in the Pelicans frontcourt, and Olynyk fits that role. Olynyk can provide reliable fantasy value as a starter for as long as he’s available.

With Olynyk available after not playing on Thursday, he started while rookie Karlo Matkovic was pushed to the bench. The “Lunch Lady” had a solid night at the office, but this wasn’t the kind of performance that will force many fantasy managers to rush to their computers to add Olynyk. As for Matkovic, he shot 1-of-8 from the field and finished with two points, five rebounds and two assists in 22 minutes. Olynyk’s ROS fantasy value hinges on the Pelicans’ deciding how available he’ll be. If the front office decides to pull the plug on its veterans, Matkovic will be one of the beneficiaries.

Thursday’s game is the first of two in as many nights the Pelicans will play in Phoenix, so some availability issues were expected. Olynyk’s absence is more impactful, opening up a place within the starting lineup. Karlo Matkovic and Jose Alvarado are potential replacements. Both will have added value whether they start or come off the bench, as Brown is one of the Pelicans’ better reserves.
