The Warriors are down multiple starters for Friday’s game, with Moody and Post being the holdovers. Podziemski and Richard are worth rostering in this spot, while fantasy managers can afford to leave Santos on the waiver wire.

As expected, Podz will suit up against Toronto, which means he will occupy his typical role off the bench. It has been a disappointing season overall, but he has played better over the past two weeks and will look to stay productive in this game.

Podziemski should be available given his probable tag on the injury report with an abdominal injury. The 22-year-old point guard comes off the bench, but has still played at least 28 minutes in four consecutive games.

Podziemski has scored in double figures in four straight games, his most consistent run of the season. He finished Monday’s victory with a complete stat line, and he has been close to a top-100 player in eight-cat formats over the last week. Coming off the bench limits Podziemski’s fantasy ceiling, but it is encouraging that he has averaged 28.4 minutes in his last three games.

With Stephen Curry (quad) out and Jimmy Butler (knee) not returning for the second half of Tuesday’s game, the Warriors relied on an even more balanced offensive approach than usual. Podziemski was one of six players to score in double figures, and one of four to hit double digits in shot attempts. He’s been Curry’s replacement in the starting lineup. And with Warriors head coach Steve Kerr saying after Tuesday’s defeat that Steph won’t travel on the upcoming road trip, now is a good time to roll the dice on Podziemski in 12-team formats.

After a rough first half in which he missed all four of his shot attempts, there wasn’t anywhere for Podziemski to go but up. That’s precisely what happened, as he shot 5-of-8 from the field and scored 15 points in the second half. Add in the rebounds, assists and three-pointers, and this was a good night for the Warriors guard. With Stephen Curry (quad) out for a few more games, Podziemski boasts a higher fantasy ceiling, especially as a starter. The Warriors play four games in Week 7, making “AirPodz” worth the risk in some 12-team leagues.

Saturday’s game is the first for the Warriors since losing Stephen Curry to a quad contusion. His absence opens up a spot in the lineup for Podziemski, who should have value in 12-team formats. The other change is Post, who steps into the starting lineup in place of rookie Will Richard. Jonathan Kuminga is available but will come off the bench in his first game back from bilateral patellar tendinitis.

Moved back to the bench on Friday after starting Wednesday’s loss to the Heat, Podziemski provided solid value against the Trail Blazers. He recorded his second 20-point game in as many outings while also recording three steals. Rostered in 37 percent of Yahoo! leagues, Podziemski is providing 11th-round value in nine-cat formats this season. The production hasn’t been great, but he’s worth having while the Warriors await Jonathan Kuminga’s return from bilateral knee soreness.

Podziemski had the opportunity to start with the Warriors missing most of its starting lineup against the Heat. The 22-year-old guard had 20 points on 19 attempts in the loss, but also chipped in eight rebounds. It was his first game with at least 20 points since October 27 against the Grizzlies. Podziemski is likely headed back to the bench for Friday’s game against the Timberwolves.

Podziemski has reached double figures in three of the four games he’s played since returning to a reserve role in a November 11 loss to the Thunder. Sunday’s performance was his best, and the third-year guard has provided seventh-round value in nine-cat formats over the past week. Jonathan Kuminga’s absence has opened up additional opportunities for Podziemski, and he’s taken advantage. While he doesn’t need to start to provide solid fantasy value, Podz’s ceiling is lower when coming off the bench and the Warriors are whole.

Podziemski was initially questionable for Wednesday’s game, and he’ll figure prominently in the Warriors’ rotation. With Stephen Curry, Jimmy Butler and Draymond Green unavailable, there’s a good chance that Podziemski is in the starting lineup. He should be rostered in standard leagues for Wednesday’s action.

Stephen Curry (illness) has already been ruled out, but Podz joins Jimmy Butler and Draymond Green as questionable to play in this game, meaning the Warriors’ rotation could look quite different against the Kings. Moses Moody and Buddy Hield stand to benefit directly from Podziemski’s absence.

Podziemski made his fourth start of the season on Saturday, replacing Quentin Post in the lineup while Draymond Green shifted to the five. The third-year guard was solid, shooting 60 percent from the field and recording a complete stat line. Rostered in 38 percent of Yahoo! leagues, Podziemski provides top-100 value in nine-cat formats while averaging 29.7 minutes per game. He may not always start, but the role remains prominent. As for Post, he played 13 minutes against the Pacers, finishing with nine points, three rebounds and one three-pointer. There’s no need to roster him in redraft leagues.

The Warriors are starting Saturday’s game with a smaller lineup, with Podziemski replacing center Quinten Post. This raises the former’s fantasy ceiling, and it also means that Kuminga and Green will shift down a position. Post’s playing time will decrease with the lineup change.

Podziemski utilized the three-point shot to conclude the victory as one of four Warriors to score at least 20 points on Monday. He was most productive as a scorer in the opening quarters of each half, but he also contributed throughout as a facilitator. In the end, the third-year guard landed his best statistical performance of the season and will have a chance to remain productive on Tuesday against the Clippers.

Podz came off the bench in Golden State’s last game in favor of Quinten Post to give Golden State a taller center to matchup with Donovan Clingan. Podz will return to the starting unit, with Post shifting back to a reserve role.

Podz led all scorers in this one as he shot an efficient 10-of-16 from the field, including 3-of-7 from beyond the arc. He was also effective as a rebounder and facilitator, highlighting his ability to stuff the stat sheet on any given night. Podziemski should be in line for a significant role in Golden State’s rotation in 2025-26, making him a worthwhile selection inside the top 100 picks of fantasy drafts.

A few weeks removed from undergoing surgery on his left (shooting) wrist, Podziemski underwent a separate procedure on Tuesday. According to the Warriors, the procedure to repair the core muscle injury was successful. Podziemski is expected to be fully recovered in time for the start of training camp in late September. As long as there aren’t any setbacks, Podziemski will be a player worth selecting in fantasy drafts.

Podziemski underwent a successful left wrist debridement procedure on his left wrist on Wednesday. According to the Warriors, the 2023 first-round pick is expected to be healthy in time for the start of training camp in the fall. After finishing fifth in Rookie of the Year voting in 2023-24, Podziemski’s averages improved in points, steals and three-pointers this season. While he may not be an offensive focal point for the Warriors next season, Podziemski’s status as a starter will make him a worthwhile selection in fantasy drafts.

This wasn’t a great series for Podziemski, but he ended it on a high note. He set a new playoff career high for points and still contributed value in other categories across the board. Podz has solidified his spot in the starting lineup with the way the roster is currently constructed. He should be an enticing pick in fantasy drafts next season, especially if the Warriors lean on him for more production to keep Stephen Curry, Jimmy Butler and Draymond Green fresh for the postseason.

Podziemski was 3-of-14 from the field and missed all four of his three-point attempts. His 22.5 field goal percentage in this series is the worst for any player (min. 35 attempts) since Pero Antic shot 16.7 percent in the Hawks vs. Pacers series in 2014, according to Josh Dubow of the Associated Press. Down 3-1 in the series now, the Warriors need Stephen Curry to return from his hamstring injury for Game 5, a miracle or both to get back in this series.

Podziemski has made things happen in this series. He scored in double figures in Games 1 and 3, which were wins. He exited early from Game 2, which was a loss. He played 40 minutes in Game 4 and had his best game of the postseason, which helped the Warriors take a 3-1 lead in the series. Podz did a little bit of everything in this game, but he did most of his damage beyond the arc. He’ll look to stay hot in Game 5 on Wednesday to help the Warriors close out the series.

Initially questionable for Game 2, Podziemski attempted to play through his stomach illness. He played the first eight minutes before having to exit, and the second-year guard did not return until 6:11 remaining in the third quarter. Mercifully, Podziemski was shut down for good with 9:44 remaining in the fourth quarter, as he was not physically up to the challenge. The good news for Golden State is that Game 3 is not until Saturday. Hopefully, that’s enough time for Podziemski to return to full health.

Podziemski has been ill for a few days. While he was able to start Game 2, the second-year guard logged eight minutes before heading to the locker room. With Jimmy Butler (tailbone) ruled out for the rest of the night, the Warriors will have to count on Buddy Hield and Jonathan Kuminga if they’re to have any chance of winning Game 2.

After sitting out the Warriors’ pregame shootaround with an illness, Podziemski has been given the all-clear to play in Game 2. He’ll retain his place in the starting lineup, but Gary Payton II could see his playing time increase slightly in this spot. Buddy Hield is another option for increased playing time, but Payton’s defensive ability makes him the player more likely to benefit if Podziemski’s minutes decrease.

Podziemski is a late addition to the Warriors’ injury report, which is an ominous sign regarding his availability for Game 2. A fixture in the starting lineup for the past month, the second-year guard logged 35 minutes in Game 1. Gary Payton II and Buddy Hield would likely see their minutes increase if Podziemski sits, with the former’s defensive prowess likely making him the priority.

Only three Warriors reached double figures in Sunday’s 95-85 victory, with Podziemski joining Stephen Curry and Jimmy Butler. Making his first postseason appearance, the second-year guard offered solid value in rebounds, assists, steals and three-pointers in Game 1. Podziemski isn’t part of Golden State’s “big three,” with Draymond Green owning that seat next to Curry and Butler. But his contributions are essential, especially in a series that may be low-scoring due to the defensive ability of both teams. The Warriors will look to extend their series lead to 2-0 on Wednesday.

While the addition of Jimmy Butler has negatively impacted Jonathan Kuminga’s (DNP-CD on Sunday) playing time and fantasy value, that has not been the case for Podziemski. The second-year guard has played well since the February trade deadline, providing eighth-round value in eight- and nine-cat formats. Podziemski’s emergence will be key for the Warriors, as they’ll need to beat Memphis on Tuesday to earn the seventh seed in the West. Houston will be the first-round opponent for the winner of that game, while the loser plays the Sacramento/Dallas winner for the eighth seed.

After scoring 54 points across his prior two appearances, Podziemski was not as prolific against the Rockets. That’s unsurprising, as Houston boasts one of the best defenses in the NBA. Podziemski still shot 50 percent from the field and made four three-pointers. Over the past two weeks, Podziemski has provided fourth-round value in eight- and nine-cat formats and has meshed well within the Warriors’ starting lineup since the addition of Jimmy Butler.
