Wednesday’s game is the first of two in as many nights for the Warriors, so Payton’s sitting is unsurprising. His absence should free up additional minutes for Pat Spencer and LJ Cryer.

Payton is managing his knee injury on the first night of this back-to-back, and there is a chance he misses one leg, even if it isn’t against San Antonio. His absence would open up extra minutes for Pat Spencer and LJ Cryer.

Payton is good to go after sitting out Saturday’s loss to the Hawks. Multiple players experienced slight increases in playing time with GPII unavailable, including Will Richard and LJ Cryer. Look for them to take hits on Monday, but Richard should still get into the mid-to-high 20s in minutes.

Payton will not play after logging 25 minutes in Friday’s loss to the Pistons. LJ Cryer’s playing time may increase after he logged 16 minutes on Friday, but there is not much to gain from streaming him in this spot. Will Richard is the better streaming option, even if his playing time does not increase as much after playing 28 minutes on Friday.

Payton had 14 points in 25 minutes off the bench in Friday’s loss to the Pistons. The 33-year-old point guard has been playing more with Stephen Curry and Moses Moody (wrist) out. If Payton is ruled out Saturday, the Warriors would be short-handed in the backcourt.

Rostered in five percent of Yahoo! leagues, Payton has largely been an afterthought in fantasy basketball this season. However, that should change during these playoff weeks in Yahoo! default leagues. Since the All-Star break, Payton has provided seventh-round value in eight-cat formats, and he’s been a round better in nine-cat. With the Warriors ending Week 21 with a back-to-back, he’s worth a look in deep leagues, having played both ends of the team’s most recent back-to-back on Sunday and Monday.

Payton was probable on the initial injury report, so the status upgrade was expected. The absences of Stephen Curry and Moses Moody have freed up additional minutes for Payton in recent games.

GPII is dealing with a new injury, but it isn’t expected to keep him sidelined against Boston. He’ll continue to take on extra minutes with Moses Moody (wrist) sidelined for at least one more game.

Having hit double digits in rebounds in two of his last three appearances, Payton recorded his second double-double of the season on Tuesday. The few who have him on their fantasy rosters also received good value in the steals category. Payton is not a must-roster player, but his fantasy value increases on nights when the Warriors don’t have De’Anthony Melton, as was the case against the Bulls.

Payton is back after a two-game absence with a left ankle impingement. While his impact on fantasy basketball is limited, GPII is one of the players who may be asked to take a turn defending Shai Gilgeous-Alexander on Saturday.

Payton has missed Golden State’s last two games with a left ankle impingement. With Will Richard also out, the Warriors turned to Nate Williams to play rotation minutes off the bench. He’ll fall in the pecking order if Payton and Richard play.

Thursday’s game will be the second Payton has missed due to a left ankle impingement. Nate Williams has moved into the back end of the Warriors’ rotation and should retain that role on Thursday. However, that isn’t enough to make him a worthwhile option in fantasy leagues.

GPII missed Monday’s game, which opened the door for Nate Williams and Pat Spencer to pick up extra minutes. However, with Moses Moody (wrist) set to miss this game, Payton’s return shouldn’t take away many minutes from Williams and Spencer.

Initially questionable for Monday’s game, Payton has been sidelined by a left ankle impingement. His absence may lead to Nate Williams playing rotation minutes off the bench, but he’s unlikely to do enough to affect fantasy basketball.

Payton is dealing with a left ankle impingement. If he’s unable to play, the Warriors would be down a third rotation perimeter player, as Stephen Curry and Will Richard are already out. Nate Williams could pick up additional minutes off the bench, but he would not be worth the risk in fantasy leagues.

On a night when all nine Warriors who saw action scored at least nine points, Payton was among the most productive. GPII matched his season-high with 19 points, and his overall line only lacked a blocked shot. Draymond Green (back) and De’Anthony Melton (knee) being out freed up additional opportunities for Payton, and he took advantage. Give him credit for that, but Wednesday’s performance doesn’t change anything regarding Payton’s fantasy value.

Payton was initially probable for Wednesday’s game, so this was the expected outcome. He’ll provide depth off the bench but is unlikely to do enough to affect fantasy basketball. Leave Payton on the waiver wire.

GPII is managing a right calf contusion, but he isn’t expected to miss this game as a result. He should play hos typical role off the bench, though that hasn’t led to much fantasy production from him this season.

GP2 was initially questionable for this game, but he’ll be able to suit up. He’ll continue to occupy a minimal role off the bench as a high-energy defender, which doesn’t translate well to fantasy basketball.

This is a new injury for Payton II, who is dealing with right foot soreness. If Payton II is forced to sit out against Dallas, De’Anthony Melton could see a bump in playing time.

Payton was initially listed as probable, so his availability isn’t a surprise. He will return after a one-game absence, which will result in Gui Santos losing out on a few minutes.

Payton did not play in Wednesday’s win over the Bucks, which factored into Gui Santos picking up a few additional minutes off the bench. Neither player has been productive enough to affect fantasy basketball this season.

While Payton’s availability does not affect fantasy basketball, his absence does leave the Warriors without one of their best defenders. The good news is that Draymond Green is on track to play, with the Warriors upgrading him to probable earlier Wednesday.

Payton is coming off one of his best performances of the season, scoring 14 points in 15 minutes in Monday’s loss to the Clippers. He’s also dealing with a sprained left ankle and is questionable for Tuesday’s game. With Draymond Green (ankle) also questionable, the Warriors could be forced to play without their top two defenders. Payton’s availability does not affect fantasy basketball, but it does limit the number of players the Warriors can throw at Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Both Payton II and Curry have seen rotational minutes off the bench this season, but neither has seen enough run to be worth a look in standard fantasy leagues. Their potential absences could free up more playing time for the likes of Gui Santos, Pat Spencer and Will Richard, though none of those players are worth streaming.

While it was known that others would have to step up with Stephen Curry unavailable, few would have expected Payton to be among them. GPII had his best game of the season against the Pelicans, hitting double figures in points and rebounds for the first time. Add in the three assists, and this was an excellent night for Payton, even with him failing to record any defensive stats. One game does not make him a viable fantasy option, but he’s worth watching when the Warriors open their Week 7 against the Thunder on Tuesday.

Injured during the first half of Wednesday’s loss to the Rockets, Payton has been given the all-clear to return to action on Saturday. While Stephen Curry remains out, the Warriors will have Draymond Green and Jonathan Kuminga. Payton doesn’t offer much value in fantasy leagues, regardless of who’s available to play rotation minutes.

Payton exited Wednesday’s loss to the Rockets during the first half with a sprained left ankle. The time off appears to have done him some good, as the guard is considered probable for Saturday. With Stephen Curry (quad) out, there may be a few more minutes available to GPII. However, his offensive skill set is limited, so fantasy managers should not expect Payton to benefit too much.

Payton sprained his left ankle after playing five minutes during the first half. His absence doesn’t impact fantasy basketball, but it does free up minutes for a few of the other Warriors reserves. Gui Santos and Pat Spencer have played a few minutes, but neither player should be streamed if Payton misses time.
