Powell was a late addition to the injury report after playing 30 minutes in Tuesday’s game against the Bucks. With Davion Mitchell also questionable with an illness, that could mean Tyler Herro moves into the starting lineup, and Pelle Larsson and Kasparas Jakucionis see more minutes if Powell winds up missing this game.

While Powell had a solid night scoring-wise and on the glass, there were some issues with the final stat line. Outside of points, rebounds and three-pointers, he did not provide much value to category league managers, and the Heat guard was also responsible for a game-high six turnovers. Turnovers and limited production outside of points and three-pointers have negatively affected Powell’s fantasy value since the All-Star break, with him being ranked outside the top-100 in eight-cat formats, according to Basketball Monster.

Powell entered Saturday shooting 84.4 percent from the foul line on the season, so his performance against the Grizzlies was a bit perplexing in that regard. He made just two of his seven attempts on the night, the lone blemish on an excellent overall stat line. Over the past two weeks, Powell has shot 61.1 percent from the line, which has negatively affected his value in category leagues. The Heat play three games in Week 18, starting with the Bucks on Tuesday. Hopefully, Powell can clean up the recent foul shooting woes.

Powell missed the Heat’s last two game prior to the All-Star break with a back injury, but returned with 15 points in the win over the Hawks on Friday. The 32-year-old shooting guard played just 25 minutes with the score lopsided late. Even with Tyler Herro back, Powell should retain most of his fantasy value. He’s likely to play Saturday given his probable listing.

After missing Miami’s last two games before the All-Star break with a back injury, Powell logged 25 minutes on Friday. Miami blowing the game open during the fourth quarter factored into the guard taking on a lighter workload, as did Tyler Herro’s return from a rib injury. Fantasy managers don’t have anything to worry about regarding Powell’s outlook for the rest of the season, as long as he remains healthy. Miami ends its Week 17 with a game against the Grizzlies on Saturday.

Powell will return following a two-game absence, and there’s no indication that he’ll be limited in any way. Powell’s return should send Kel’el Ware back to the bench, but Ware should retain standalone value.

Powell missed Miami’s last two games before the All-Star break due to lower back tightness, and he’s back on the injury report for the same issue ahead of Friday’s matchup with the Hawks. Kel’el Ware moved into the starting lineup in those games, most recently recording a double-double in Miami’s February 11 win over the Pelicans.

After putting up All-Star-level numbers with the Clippers last season, Powell was traded to the Heat ahead of the final year of his current contract. And the move east has been a successful one for the guard individually, going into the All-Star break with averages of 23.0 points, 3.6 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 1.2 steals, and 2.9 three-pointers per game. That production was good enough to earn Powell his first All-Star nod, and he hopes to continue the relationship with the Heat for years to come. “Hopefully, there’s some good synergy from what they’ve seen that I bring to the table,” Powell said, according to the Miami Herald. “And hopefully a deal is able to be done sometime. But yeah, I see myself being here and being a part of the Heat organization for however long they’ll have me.” Having entered the season with a Yahoo! ADP of 86, Powell has offered top-50 fantasy value for most of the season. A lingering subplot for the Heat is Giannis Antetokounmpo’s future in Milwaukee, and the team is one of many that will have more resources at its disposal in the summer to make a move for the star forward if he becomes available.

With Powell and Larsson out for another game, Simone Fontecchio and Jaime Jaquez Jr. will get longer looks in Miami’s rotation. Jaquez Jr. is the preferred streaming option due to his ability to contribute meaningfully in multiple categories.

Powell exited Sunday’s matchup with Washington at the end of the third quarter with back tightness, but the Heat may have simply been cautious with Powell against Washington due to the blowout nature of the contest. If Powell is sidelined for the second leg of Miami’s back-to-back set, Simone Fontecchio and Jaime Jaquez Jr. could see upticks in playing time.

Powell was ruled out at the end of the third quarter due to tightness in his lower back. With the Heat hosting the Jazz on Monday, it’s likely that the team decided to sit Powell since they were up by a significant margin. Powell finished with 21 points, four rebounds, one steal and five three-pointers in 25 minutes.

Powell, who returned to the Heat lineup on Friday after missing three games for personal reasons, is dealing with a sprained right hand. Miami’s already shorthanded on the perimeter, and not having its leading scorer could leave the Heat calling on Myron Gardner to fill the void.

After shooting 5-of-21 from the field in a January 25 win over the Suns, Powell has scored 21 points or more in three consecutive appearances. Friday’s game was his first since January 29, as he missed three for personal reasons. With Tyler Herro (ribs) out and lacking a return timeline, more responsibility has fallen on Powell’s shoulders. And on most nights, he’s been up to the task.

Powell and Wiggins are set to return from absences to help provide a boost to Miami’s opening unit. The Heat have alternated wins and losses in the past six games, but will have a chance on Friday to get back in the win column against a Celtics team that has won four straight.

Powell has rejoined the Heat after missing the last three games for personal reasons. With Andrew Wiggins (hamstring) also available, Myron Gardner and Simone Fontecchio will be headed back to the bench. Of the two, Fontecchio’s path to maintaining some semblance of fantasy relevance is more straightforward.

Tuesday’s game is the third that Powell has missed for personal reasons. Simone Fontecchio replaced him in the lineup for Sunday’s win over the Bulls, logging 18 minutes. However, that game was a blowout, so Fontecchio will likely see his minutes increase.

Powell has missed the last two games for Miami, but he could return against Atlanta. Myron Gardner started one game, while Simone Fontecchio filled the void in the last one. Powell is set to miss his second game in a row for personal reasons. Myron Gardner started in his place in Saturday’s loss to the Bulls and had 12 points and 11 rebounds in 23 minutes. Gardner could start again, but Jaime Jaquez Jr. saw the bigger boost with 20 points in 32 minutes off the bench.

Powell was not available for Saturday’s loss to the Bulls for personal reasons. Myron Gardner filled the resulting void in the starting lineup, recording a double-double in his first career start. While that may be enough to get him another start if Powell remains out, Gardner played 23 minutes to Jaime Jaquez Jr.'s 32 on Saturday.

Powell has been a big part of what Miami does on offense, especially with Tyler Herro sidelined. In his absence, one of Simone Fontecchio or Jaime Jaquez Jr. will likely replace him in the starting unit. Jaquez holds far more upside for fantasy managers whether he starts or comes off the bench.

After recording two 30-point games in his first four appearances in January, Powell’s offensive output has tailed off somewhat. He’s scored 20 or more in six of his last ten games, and while that isn’t necessarily bad, fantasy managers may have been hoping for more. Especially when factoring in how productive Powell was to begin the season, and Tyler Herro being out with a rib injury.

Powell was limited to just 28 minutes in the loss, but even in his more limited action, he managed to finish as one of Miami’s top scorers. Efficient shooting allowed him to reach 20 points for the first time in three games. However, the first-year Heat guard didn’t make many other contributions aside from his scoring. His fantasy value was almost exclusively tied to his scoring on Wednesday, which is the risk fantasy managers run with having Powell on their roster. Yet, he’s always capable of big scoring performances and isn’t someone you want on your bench.

Powell is good to go for Wednesday’s game despite dealing with a back injury. The veteran guard has been Miami’s top leading scorer in his first year with the team, currently averaging a career-high in points. His presence will give the Heat a greater chance to pull off a third straight win. They’re currently seventh in the Eastern Conference standings, and just one game above the Magic, who they face on Wednesday.

The positive for Powell and those who have him rostered was that he recorded his first double-double of the season on Sunday. The downside was that he had a brutal night shooting the basketball. Powell made two of his 11 attempts from beyond the arc and shot 30 percent from two in one of his most inefficient efforts of the season. While Powell didn’t shoot the ball well in the final two games of Miami’s road trip, his overall fantasy value remains in a good place.
