Having recorded six games of 20 points or more in his first seven appearances for the Heat, Powell dropped his first 30-point game on Monday. He was in “attack mode” throughout, resulting in the veteran guard attempting 14 free throws. With Bam Adebayo joining Tyler Herro on the sideline, even more of the offense runs through Powell, and he’s been up to the task. With unrestricted free agency on the horizon, Powell is providing top-25 value in nine-cat formats.

Both wings were initially listed as probable, so their availability isn’t surprising. They’ll both occupy their typical spots in the starting lineup, barring a change from Heat coach Erik Spoelstra.

Powell briefly left Friday’s game against the Hornets with a sprained ankle. The 32-year-old point guard finished the game with a team-high 25 points in 27 minutes. Powell is on the injury report for Saturday, but he’s likely to suit up given his probable designation.

Powell, who missed three games last week with a groin injury, exited Friday’s game during the second quarter after spraining his right ankle. The good news is that he was back on the court to begin the third quarter and ultimately logged 27 minutes. However, with the Heat hosting the Trail Blazers, there may be some concern surrounding Powell’s availability. Consider him questionable for Miami’s final game of Week 3.

Powell returned from a groin injury that caused him to miss three games on Monday with 21 points in a win over his former team the Clippers. The 32-year-old shooting guard continues to look like he’s over the injury as he dropped 23 points and four threes on the Nuggets on Wednesday. Powell will have Thursday off before the Heat play a back-to-back on Friday and Saturday. Playing in both of those games appears to be the last hurdle for Powell.

Not only was Monday’s game against the Clippers the first for Powell in Inglewood since being traded to Miami during the offseason, but it was his first action after missing three games with a groin injury. The Heat guard looked sharp and showed no ill effects in 28 minutes of action. Powell was nearly on the wrong end of a late comeback, but Kawhi Leonard’s jumper just before time expired fell short. Miami has three more games this week, including a Friday/Saturday home back-to-back. We’ll see if Powell is available for all three.

Norman Powell is back in the Heat lineup after missing three games with a groin injury. However, his return means Kel’el Ware will head to the bench, while Pelle Larsson remains with the starters. Larsson played well as Powell’s replacement, while Ware remains inconsistent. He’ll get rotation minutes off the bench, but fantasy managers were hoping for more from Ware at this point in the season.

Following a three-game absence, Powell will be back and should immediately return to the starting lineup. That will push Pelle Larsson back to the bench and limit Jaime Jaquez Jr.'s minutes. Powell will immediately slot in as the primary perimeter scorer for Miami.

Powell has missed three straight games, but he’s got a chance to suit up on Monday against his former team. If he’s out again, expect Pelle Larsson and Jaime Jaquez Jr. to pick up the slack. Nikola Jovic (hip) is available and could also soak up some extra playing time.

Sunday’s game will be Powell’s third missed with a groin injury. Pelle Larsson has been his replacement in the starting lineup and should retain that role as long as Powell is out. The Heat visit the Clippers on Monday, Powell’s next opportunity to play.

Powell missed the Heat’s last two games with a groin injury and did not participate in Saturday’s practice. However, while he was limited to individual work, the veteran guard is still questionable for Sunday’s game. Pelle Larsson has been Powell’s replacement in the starting lineup, but Jaime Jaquez Jr. has benefited the most in terms of fantasy value.

Powell was listed as doubtful, so this is hardly a surprise. Pelle Larsson should start in his place again, but Jaime Jaquez Jr. will be the biggest beneficiary from a fantasy perspective. He played 28 minutes off the bench in the Heat’s first game without Powell and led the team with 28 points.

Powell was sidelined for Tuesday’s game against the Hornets, which allowed Pelle Larsson to start in his place. Larsson scored 17 points in 31 minutes and should be in line for another start. On a day with only four games, he has streaming appeal.

Powell began to experience soreness in his right groin during the pregame shootaround on Tuesday, prompting the Heat to add him to the injury report. His absence opens up a spot in the starting lineup, with Jaime Jaquez Jr. and Simone Fontecchio being potential replacements. While both have been productive to begin the season, Jaquez’s versatility may give him the edge.

This is a new injury for Powell, and his inclusion on the injury report so close to tip off is concerning for his availability. If Powell is unable to take the court, Simone Fontecchio (calf) and Jaime Jaquez Jr. would presumably be in line for more playing time.

Powell was fantastic on Sunday. He used his ability off the dribble to earn 12 free-throw attempts, which, combined with a solid performance from the field, led to him recording a season-high point total. With Tyler Herro (ankle) out, the Heat have relied on Powell more than they may have anticipated after acquiring him from the Clippers during the offseason. But, as evidenced by his play last season before injuring his hamstring in February, Powell can offer added value on the offensive end of the floor. Miami plays three games during Week 2, hosting Charlotte on Tuesday before heading west for four straight away from home.

Powell’s 28 points were a game-high against the Magic on Wednesday. Much like last year, when the 32-year-old shooting guard put up top scoring numbers filling in for Kawhi Leonard on the Clippers, Powell’s great night was ultimately made possible by Tyler Herro (ankle) missing the game. While Herro is out, Powell is easily the Heat’s best scoring option so there could be more of these games in the future.

Powell rebounded from an inefficient shooting performance against the Hawks to log his most efficient outing of the preseason. He also set a new preseason-high in points, utilizing the three-point shot to log more than 20 points for the first time in a Heat uniform, as well as set a new preseason high in assists. Powell’s offensive contributions to begin the regular season will be important, given that Tyler Herro likely won’t begin the year healthy. If he can start fast, the former NBA champion may be able to build on a career-best 2024-25 season.

Powell had a rough Monday in Atlanta, but the good news is that it’s still the preseason. The turnover count was more concerning than the shooting, with Powell responsible for five. With Tyler Herro (ankle) not guaranteed to be available when the Heat begin the regular season, Powell may have more opportunities to serve as a playmaker within the offense. That would raise his fantasy ceiling in the short term, but only if he can keep the turnovers in check.

After scoring five points in his preseason debut with the Heat on Saturday, Powell had a more productive offensive outing on Monday. All of his minutes came in the first half, where he put up 12 shots and utilized volume and efficiency from beyond the arc to finish as one of Miami’s leaders in points. Powell was acquired by the Heat in a trade that sent him from the LA Clippers during the offseason. His role will likely be significant, and could be even bigger for the Heat to begin the season, as Tyler Herro (ankle) is expected to miss the first few weeks of the regular season. Powell has a chance to be the Heat’s No. 1 scoring option come opening night.

The deal also sends John Collins to the Clippers, and a package of Kevin Love, Kyle Anderson and a 2027 second-round pick to the Jazz. Powell averaged a career-best 21.8 points and 3.0 triples per game last season, and he should enjoy a significant role in Miami’s rotation in 2025-26. Powell should push Davion Mitchell and Terry Rozier into smaller roles for Miami in 2025-26.

Powell put forth his best scoring performance of the postseason on Thursday, where his contributions helped the Clippers extend the series to a seventh game on Saturday. On the heels of his most productive scoring season as a professional, the 10th-year pro electrified the Intuit Dome crowd in the third quarter before nailing a three-pointer late in the fourth quarter to help seal the deal. Powell was one of three Clippers players to score at least 20 points in this game. He will be counted on to deliver once more in the series finale in Denver on Saturday.

After totaling 25 points in the first two games of the series, Powell benefited from the action shifting to the friendly confines of the Intuit Dome. In Games 3 and 4, he shot 14-of-25 from the field and 7-of-16 from beyond the arc. Saturday’s performance included four three-pointers during a 32-9 fourth-quarter run that nearly allowed the Clippers to steal the win. Alas, Aaron Gordon’s dunk as time expired was the difference. With the series now tied at two games apiece, the Clippers will need the “home” version of Powell to show up on the road. Game 5 is scheduled for Tuesday night in Denver.

After scoring 25 points on 10-of-26 shooting in the Clippers’ two games in Denver, Powell was much better in Game 3. Not only did he shoot over 50 percent from the field, but the Clippers’ guard finished one blocked shot shy of a complete stat line. Game 4 is scheduled for Saturday, with the Clippers aiming to take a 3-1 series lead.

Powell will be back after a one-game absence, which means that the Clippers will be at full strength in an important matchup for seeding in the West. Powell’s return will push Derrick Jones Jr. back to the bench and eliminate any streaming value that he held. Zubac will occupy his typical spot in the starting unit.

Powell was solid on Friday, but fantasy managers were doomed when the game got out of hand by halftime. Over the past two weeks, he has only been an 11th-round player in nine-cat formats, five rounds lower than his season-long value. The decreased scoring output has been a factor, with Powell averaging 17.0 points per game over the past two weeks. By comparison, he’s averaging 22.2 points for the season. He’ll look to have a more productive night on Saturday when the Clippers host the Mavericks again.

Since returning from an extended layoff, Powell had averaged just 11.8 points and 1.7 triples across his last six games. He bounced back in a big way on Sunday, shooting 13-of-24 from the floor and 5-of-11 from deep to lead all scorers and post his highest point total since February 13. Powell took on some additional offensive responsibilities with Kawhi Leonard sidelined, and this was a nice way for him to get back on track. He’ll look to build on this performance when the Clippers face the Magic on Monday.

Powell didn’t score much on Friday and has not recorded a 20-point stat line since returning from his hamstring injury. However, he did dish out six assists against the Nets, the most in a game since November 6. Over the past two weeks, Powell is ranked outside the top 200 in nine-cat formats. Fantasy managers hope he can flip the switch sooner rather than later, possibly as soon as Sunday in Cleveland.

Powell did not offer much value outside of points, steals and three-pointers in Wednesday’s victory, but he recorded a complete stat line and shot over 50 percent from the field. Since returning to the Clippers’ lineup on March 16, he is ranked outside the top 200 in eight- and nine-cat formats. Given how well Powell played before injuries put him on the shelf, it would be disappointing for fantasy managers if he ended the regular season with a whimper. Hopefully, his shooting against the Knicks was a sign of what’s to come.

Sunday’s game was the first for Powell since March 2, so he was placed under a minutes restriction. The Clippers guard played 13 minutes in the first half and 10 in the second, with Nicolas Batum (3/5/1/1 with one three-pointer in 15 minutes) replacing him in the lineup to begin the third quarter. Powell struggled with his shot, but some rust was expected, given the time missed. The Clippers play three games during Week 20, starting with the Cavaliers on Tuesday.
