Prince underwent the procedure on Thursday in Los Angeles, and the Bucks announced that updates on his recovery will be provided when deemed necessary. While Prince was shooting nearly 43 percent from three on 3.5 attempts per game at the time of his injury, his minutes had decreased from 27.1 in 2024-25 to 21.1 this season. Kyle Kuzma, who has started Milwaukee’s last two games, has a higher ceiling with Prince unavailable but likely needs to remain a starter to be worth the risk in standard leagues.

Prince’s extended absence is a big blow to Milwaukee’s offense, as the sharpshooting forward is knocking down 42.9% of his shots from beyond the arc this season. In his absence, expect Kyle Kuzma and Bobby Portis to see increased run.

Not only will Prince miss Friday’s game, but he could be out longer. Bucks head coach Doc Rivers said during his availability that the veteran forward will undergo an MRI to determine the severity of his strained neck and a potential injury timeline. Look for Kyle Kuzma and Bobby Portis to pick up additional minutes in Prince’s absence.

Prince isn’t a fantasy-relevant player at this point in his career. He hasn’t averaged over 10 points per game since the 2019-20 season. The former No. 12 overall pick by the Jazz in 2016 was a key role player for the Bucks last year, though. Prince appeared in 80 games for Milwaukee including 73 starts.

Prince and Rollins are among the Bucks’ rotation players nursing injuries, so they will not play in Sunday’s regular-season finale. Milwaukee secured the fifth seed in the East with its win over Detroit on Friday. Andre Jackson Jr. and Pat Connaughton have not impacted fantasy basketball this season, but they’re among the Bucks who will be available on Sunday and should log significant minutes.

Both wings are expected to be sidelined for the regular season finale. With Kevin Porter Jr. and Gary Trent Jr. also doubtful, Pat Connaughton, Andre Jackson Jr. and Stanley Umude should play significant roles.

Prince provides modest offensive value on most nights, but his defense stood out on Saturday. He recorded a career-high five steals against the Pacers, and his points, three-pointers, and percentages bolstered the overall stat line. However, Prince remains ranked outside the top 150 in fantasy value since the All-Star break. Fantasy managers should avoid overreacting to Saturday’s performance.

Despite being a consistent starter this year, Prince hasn’t been much of a factor in fantasy basketball. However, he was able to get off to a strong start on Tuesday and scored 14 points on four three-pointers before halftime. Unfortunately, he wasn’t able to add much more after the break. Milwaukee’s schedule makes Prince an intriguing streaming option as they play three more games this week, including on Thursday which is a day with only five games.
