Back in the Lakers’ lineup after missing three games with a groin injury, Reaves only played 29 minutes. While he didn’t have a great night from deep, making just two of his 10 three-point attempts, the overall production was fine for a player whose minutes were somewhat restricted. Reaves and the Lakers have three more games on the schedule before the end of their road trip, starting with the Thunder on Wednesday. The concern for fantasy managers is the Friday/Saturday back-to-back against the Pelicans and Bucks.

Reaves is back in the lineup after a three-game absence due to a groin injury. His return means Jake LaRavia heads back to the bench, where his fantasy value takes a slight hit. However, LaRavia is worth holding onto until LeBron James returns, especially in deep leagues. The other four starters are unchanged.

Considered probable following the pregame shootaround on Monday afternoon, Reaves is officially available to play after a three-game absence. His return will most likely push Jake LaRavia to the bench. LaRavia is worth holding onto since LeBron James remains out of the lineup.

Reaves has been sidelined for the Lakers’ last three games, so it’s unclear if he’ll face a minutes restriction in his return to action. Jake LaRavia is the player who will be most impacted by Reaves’ availability, but the former has played far too well to see his minutes plummet. LaRavia is worth a hold until his numbers fall off.

Reaves is managing a mild strain of his right groin and has missed the last three games. His status impacts Jake LaRavia the most, as he’ll remain in the starting lineup until Reaves is available to play. Fantasy managers who are streaming LaRavia should hold onto him until it’s clear that Reaves can play.

Reaves doesn’t have much pain, and the expectation is that he’ll return during this five-game road trip. Reaves has already been ruled out against the Hawks on Saturday, so his next chance to play will be in Charlotte on Monday. Jake LaRavia will continue to start for now.

Reaves will miss a third straight game with a strained right groin. His absence means Jake LaRavia will remain in the starting lineup, and he’s worth streaming in deep leagues due to the Lakers also being without LeBron James.

Despite fully participating in shootaround, Reaves will miss a second straight game. Jake LaRavia should remain in the starting unit for another game after contributing 11 points, five rebounds, six assists and three steals against Portland on Monday.

Reaves is still questionable, but participating in shootaround is a positive sign for his potential availability. He sat out on Monday after playing 38 minutes on Sunday, which allowed Jake LaRavia to start in his place. LaRavia will return to a reserve role if Reaves is back.

Reaves did not play in Monday’s win over the Trail Blazers, but his sore right groin has lingered long enough to get him back onto the injury report. If he remains out, Jake LaRavia will stay in the starting lineup, where he provides added streaming value.

Reaves played 38 minutes in Sunday’s win over the Heat, and he joins Luka Dončić on the sideline for Monday’s game in Portland. Due to the absences, Dalton Knecht and Bronny James will likely see their playing time increase, but neither is worth the streaming risk in most leagues. Jake LaRavia, however, is, especially after he played 35 minutes on Sunday.

Reaves’ streak of games with at least 20 points extended to seven on Sunday, despite inefficient shooting from the field. The fifth-year guard also tallied his third game this season with double-digit assists, with his total on Sunday being enough to lead the Lakers in that category against the Heat. The former Oklahoma Sooner has been outstanding to begin the season and is showing no signs of slowing down. He’s enjoying the best season of his career by a large margin and has been one of the most productive guards in fantasy leagues to this point.

Reaves had scored 120 points over his last three games without Luke Doncic available. Doncic was back on Friday, though, and Reaves took a backseat to the superstar once again. Doncic topped 40 points as he has in all three games he’s played this year and Reaves has 72 points combined in those games. Reaves is a solid scorer who happens to turn into the Incredible Hulk whenever the Lakers are without both Doncic and LeBron James.

Trailing by one with six seconds left in regulation, the Lakers inbounded the ball to Reaves. The 27-year-old shooting guard split the defense on a pick and roll and hit a floater in the lane to win the game for the Lakers. Reaves has taken his game to another level in the absence of Luka Doncic and LeBron James.

Reaves followed up his 51-point outing against the Kings with another dominant scoring performance on the second night of a back-to-back. Free-throw production served as a boost on Monday, as it did on Sunday. Yet, Reaves was still efficient on high volume from the floor and could retain with an ultra-high usage until Luka Doncic and LeBron James eventually return from injuries and get back on the floor.

One game removed from recording his first double-double of the season, Reaves made some personal history on Sunday. Not only was this his first 50-point game, but it was also the second in which the Lakers guard surpassed 40 points. Reaves became the third player in Lakers history to record at least 50 points, 10 rebounds and five assists in a single game, joining Kobe Bryant and Elgin Baylor. In addition to an efficient night from the field, Reaves made a living at the foul line. He made more free throws (21) than the Kings attempted as a team (18), a stat that will undoubtedly raise some eyebrows in Sacramento. However, with Luka Dončić and LeBron James out due to injury, Reaves will have the ball in his hands even more. For those who have him rostered, don’t give in to the temptation to sell high. The Lakers play four games during Week 2, starting with Portland on Monday.

The production remained high on Friday for Reaves, who scored 25 points and tallied at least nine assists for the second time this season. His scoring total was a result of efficient shooting both inside and outside the arc, while his growth as a passer during the early part of the season has been fun to watch alongside Luka Dončić. Reaves could realistically maintain similar usage and opportunities while LeBron James is sidelined. He’s off to a career-best start to the season.

There hasn’t been an official designation for Reaves yet, but there shouldn’t be much concern based on Redick’s comments. Luka Doncic was also a full participant in practice, so both guards should be good to go against Minnesota. They combined for 69 points and 18 assists in the season opener.

The third quarter was the only period Reaves struggled, missing all three of his shot attempts. However, that factored into the Warriors building a lead that the Lakers could not erase, as Golden State outscored L.A. by a 35-25 margin. Reaves was 4-of-4 from the field in the fourth quarter, capping a productive night overall, but the Lakers don’t have much margin for error with LeBron James (back) unavailable. James’ absence pushed Reaves up fantasy draft boards and rightfully so, as he and Luka Dončić have to shoulder even more of the offensive workload.

With Luka Dončić and LeBron James sitting out, Reaves shouldered even more offensive responsibilities in Friday’s preseason opener. Unsurprisingly, he was up to the task, scoring efficiently despite being the focal point of Phoenix’s defensive attention. While Dončić and James will again be the primary playmakers, Reaves can provide excellent fantasy value, having been a top-50 player last season. Fantasy managers should anticipate similar production this season, with Reaves’ value receiving a boost on nights when Dončić and/or James are unavailable.

The Lakers offered Reaves a four-year, $89.2 million extension, which is the most they can offer him at this time. Reaves declined, which isn’t surprising as he’s in position to bet on himself and potentially make a lot more money next offseason. Reaves could hit free agency next summer and be eligible for a five-year, $246.7 million max deal from the Lakers or a four-year, $182.9 million max deal from any other team. He appears content to play out his current contract and test free agency next offseason.

While Reaves reached double figures in all five games of the series, his production shifted offensively after the first two games. According to Lane, the Lakers guard injured his toe during Game 3, impacting Reaves on both ends of the floor. In the first two games, 13 of Reaves’ 27 field goal attempts were three-pointers. In Games 3 through 5, 33 of his 46 attempts came from beyond the arc. He could not be as explosive as needed off the dribble, which factored into the Lakers dropping the series’ final three games. With the early elimination, Reaves will have ample time to recover ahead of the 2025-26 season.

Though it was a strong season overall for Reaves, his playoff series against Minnesota was one to forget. He averaged just 16.2 points, 5.4 rebounds, 3.6 assists and three triples while shooting 41.1 percent from the floor during the gentlemen’s sweep. Reaves was incredible after the All-Star break, which made his postseason so disappointing. Still, he’ll be an intriguing option entering drafts next season after finishing inside the top 50 in nine-cat leagues this season.

Reaves really struggled in Saturday’s loss in Game 1, and some of those shooting woes carried over into Game 2. He didn’t hit a three-pointer, which was just the third time that has happened since the calendar flipped to 2025. However, he was more efficient from the floor overall. The offense will continue to run through Luka Doncic, which means Reaves will continue to get good looks from beyond the arc. He just needs to start making them. Look for that to start happening in Game 3 on Friday.

While Luka Doncic went off for 37 points, Reaves and LeBron James combined to score 35 in Saturday’s Game 1 defeat. And this wasn’t the easiest matchup for Reaves during the regular season. In three meetings with the Timberwolves, he averaged 17.7 points, 7.0 rebounds, 5.0 assists, 1.0 steals and 2.0 three-pointers while shooting 42.5 percent from the field. Reaves is one of many Lakers who will need to bring more to the table if they’re to win this series. Game 2 is scheduled for Tuesday, with the Lakers aiming to even the series before it shifts to Minneapolis.

Reaves and the Lakers were excellent on Friday, shooting nearly 61 percent from the field. Reaves made 66.7 percent of his attempts, finishing one block shy of a complete stat line. With Friday’s victory securing the three-seed for the Western Conference playoffs, it’s possible that Reaves does not play in Sunday’s regular season finale in Portland. If he gets the day off, Jordan Goodwin (3/6/3 with one three-pointer) and Gabe Vincent (one rebound, one assist and one steal) are two players whose playing time would increase.

The Lakers finished Sunday’s victory with six double-digit scorers, including Reaves. He’s scored at least 20 points in three straight games and six of his last seven. Over the past two weeks, Reaves has provided top-20 value in eight- and nine-cat formats. Managers in leagues that will be active next week who have him rostered will be pleased that the Lakers play four games during Week 23. They begin their final week of the regular season with a rematch with Oklahoma City on Tuesday.

Reaves has had back-to-back games with at least 30 points buoyed by magnificent three-point shooting efforts. He’s 15-of-25 from behind the three-point line over the last two nights. The 26-year-old shooting guard now has at least 30 points in four of his last five games. Reaves has provided third-round fantasy value on the season, but he’s been even better lately. He’s peaking at the right time for fantasy managers.
