Russell is off the injury report after missing Thursday’s loss to the 76ers. However, with Ryan Nembhard and Brandon Williams also available, there isn’t much to gain from rostering D’Lo.

Russell has been splitting backup point guard minutes behind Brandon Williams, so there’s not much of a fantasy impact here. Ryan Nembhard would be the only backup if Russell sits, so that could make Nembhard useful in deeper fantasy formats, but he’d still likely be limited to about 25-28 minutes.

Russell is available after a two-game absence and should be in the rotation. However, with Brandon Marshall also available and Ryan Nembhard being the starting point guard, D’Lo is unlikely to get the opportunities needed to affect fantasy basketball. He should not be rostered in most leagues.

Russell was initially considered probable for Thursday night after missing the last two games, but he’s now questionable. Whether his availability affects fantasy basketball depends on Brandon Williams (Achilles), who’s also questionable. If Williams can’t play but Russell can, more rotation minutes would be available to the veteran point guard.

Russell is expected to be back after a two-game absence and will likely return to playing his typical reserve role where he sees minutes in the teens. Brandon Williams (Achilles) is questionable, so if he doesn’t play, Russell could see a bump in minutes, though it likely won’t make him worth streaming.

Russell did not play in Friday’s win over the Nets and will miss a second straight game. His absence does not affect fantasy basketball, as the Mavericks have relied on the combo of Ryan Nembhard and Brandon Williams at the point in recent games.

Added to the Mavericks’ injury report on Friday afternoon, Russell will not be available for the matchup with the Nets. His absence does not change much from a fantasy standpoint, as Ryan Nembhard and Brandon Williams were ahead of D’Lo in the pecking order.

D’Lo is a late addition to the injury report, which doesn’t bode well for his chances of taking the court on Friday. He has averaged just 15.5 minutes across his last four outings, and if he is unable to go, Ryan Nembhard and Brandon Williams would presumably absorb his vacated minutes.

Russell sat out Saturday’s loss to the Grizzlies, with his playing time divvied up among multiple reserves due to Jaden Hardy struggling in his 12 minutes on the floor. Hardy will likely fall out of the rotation entirely on Monday, unless starting guard Brandon Williams can’t play. He’s questionable due to lower back tightness.

Russell has been downgraded from questionable to out, leaving the Mavericks light on options at point guard. Brandon Williams’ status as the starter is unchanged, but there will be more minutes available to Jaden Hardy. Hardy is not worth the streaming risk, even with the increased playing time.

Russell missed Friday’s win over the Pelicans with an illness. Jaden Hardy had 11 points in 14 minutes off the bench and could get even more of an opportunity against the Grizzlies on Saturday if Russell were to be out again. Hardy still isn’t worth the risk to stream just yet.

Initially questionable for Friday’s game, Russell will not be available. Brandon Williams’ status as the starting point guard does not change, but D’Lo being out should result in more minutes for fellow reserve Jaden Hardy. Hardy is not worth the streaming risk in this role.

This is a new illness for D’Lo, and his appearance on the injury report so late on a Friday means he should be considered a game-time call. Brandon Williams has started each of Dallas’ last six games and played well, but Russell’s absence could free up some additional playing time for Jaden Hardy off the bench.

While Brandon Williams (9/2/4/1 with one three-pointer) continues to serve as the Mavericks’ starting point guard, there have been nights when Russell has been more useful to fantasy managers. Wednesday was one of those occasions, as the veteran guard was efficient as a scorer and distributor in the two-point defeat. Williams has been more valuable by a significant distance on the season as a whole, ranking five rounds higher than Russell, so Wednesday’s performance may not change too many minds in fantasy circles.

Russell played 39 minutes, which is the most he’s played in a game this year, in the Mavericks’ double overtime loss to the Clippers on Friday. The 29-year-old point guard’s 28-point performance seeming came out of nowhere. Russell hadn’t scored more than 10 points in his last six games and his three-point shooting has been terrible recently. He’s 2-for-21 from behind the three-point line over his last four games including Friday night. Not much has changed for Russell despite the big minutes and point totals in a double overtime game. He also had seven turnovers to go with five assists.

The Mavericks will have a true point guard in the lineup for Wednesday’s game, with Russell receiving the starting nod. However, his inclusion comes at the expense of Klay Thompson, who has struggled to begin the season. Thompson hasn’t played well enough to merit being rostered in standard leagues, but deep-league managers can hang on for another game or two.

Two days after Russell set a new season-high for scoring, he provided offense off the bench in a different form by setting a new season-high for assists. Though Russell is still in a reserve role, he’ll continue to be important on offense until Kyrie Irving (knee) returns to the lineup, which is still months away. He’ll have inefficient nights like this one, but he’ll still play a large role consistently; he has played at least 29 minutes in four of the Mavericks’ last five games.

Russell has hit double figures in three of his last four games, surpassing 20 points twice. Saturday’s performance was the best of the bunch, with the 31 points being the most he’s scored in a game since March 8, 2024, as a member of the Lakers (44 vs. Milwaukee). D’Lo was expected by many to begin the season as a starter, but Mavericks head coach Jason Kidd’s decision to toss the keys to Cooper Flagg may have caught the veteran by surprise. He’s recently looked more comfortable in his role, giving Dallas needed production off the bench as they play without Anthony Davis. The Mavericks play four games during Week 3, starting with the Rockets on Monday.

Russell is available after initially being listed as questionable with a left knee contusion. He’ll take on his usual role off the bench, likely playing within 22 and 25 minutes. With Cooper Flagg acting as the starting point guard and Brandon Williams also playing rotation minutes off the bench, Russell offers limited fantasy upside at best.

Russell suffered a left knee contusion during Wednesday’s win over the Pacers, logging 20 minutes off the bench. If DLo cannot play against Detroit, more minutes will be available to fellow reserve Brandon Williams. Williams was excellent against Indiana, but he’s a risky streamer due to Jason Kidd’s unpredictable rotation.

After playing 24 minutes in the Mavericks’ first two games, including nine in Friday’s loss to the Wizards, Russell figured more prominently in the rotation on Sunday. He took advantage of the opportunity, joining Anthony Davis and Cooper Flagg as the Mavericks’ 20-point scorers. With Kyrie Irving (knee) out, Russell is the best healthy point guard on the roster. While there’s a desire to have the ball in Flagg’s hands as a playmaker, that should not mean Russell gets bumped to the fringe of the rotation. Sunday’s effort should ensure he continues to play quality minutes after seeing limited time in the first two games.

Russell surveyed the court well in his limited reps on Monday evening. He recorded a team-high in assists and chipped in a basket from beyond the arc along the way. Russell’s continuity with Anthony Davis, his former teammate with the Lakers, is expected to play a key role in the Mavericks’ start to the season. His shooting and playmaking will also be pivotal while the Mavericks remain without an expected return date for their superstar guard, Kyrie Irving (knee).

Russell, who signed with Dallas at the start of free agency, said he feels stronger, wiser and more careful. That’ll work well for Dallas, since they’ll need him to start at point guard for the first few months of the season until Kyrie Irving returns from the torn left ACL that he suffered in March. Russell should be productive for the Mavericks to open the year, but it’s unlikely he actually has a career year, even if he feels like he’s in his prime.

Russell figures to have a significant backcourt role with the Mavericks early in the season as Kyrie Irving recovers from injury. The 29-year-old point guard is also reunited with his former Lakers teammate Anthony Davis. Russell averaged 12.6 points per game and 5.1 assists per game in 58 games with the Lakers and Nets last season. Considering the lack of competition for usage he walks into in Dallas, Russell has fringe top-100 fantasy value in his range of outcomes.

Russell missed last Saturday’s game with an ankle injury but had a nice game in his return against the Mavericks on Monday with 18 points, five rebounds and 11 assists. The 29-year-old point guard had a terrible game against the Timberwolves Thursday. Seemingly out of nowhere, Russell was held without points as he missed all six of his field goal attempts. He played just 13 minutes, which had to do with his effectiveness and not his ankle injury. Russell will look to bounce back Sunday against the Raptors.

No surprise here as Russell was initially listed as probable with right ankle soreness. The 29-year-old point guard missed last Saturday’s game against the Wizards, but returned Monday against the Mavericks and had a double-double. He appears to be mostly over the ankle issue at this point.

Russell is dealing with a sore right ankle, but the probable tag suggests he will be available on Thursday. If not, Tyrese Martin is most likely to enter the starting lineup. Martin has not been a great streamer when allowed to start, but he would be worth a look in deep leagues on one of the lighter game days of Week 22.
