When allowed to play significant minutes, Reese has consistently played well enough to earn a longer look from the Wizards in the summer. He recorded another double-double on Thursday, his third in as many games and fifth since being signed to a two-way deal. The Wizards have two more games this season, and Reese can be valuable to managers in active fantasy leagues.

Reese had another excellent game with a very similar stat line to his game against the Nets on Sunday. The 22-year-old rookie power forward filled up the box scored in his 36 minutes on the floor. Reese has made it clear that he’ll be a fantasy asset whenever he starts.

Reese is on a two-way contract, but typically sees a good amount of minutes when the Wizards play him. On Sunday, the 22-year-old power forward started and led the team with 44 minutes against the Nets. Reese’s 16 rebounds made it his fourth game with at least 13 rebounds since the beginning of March. He continues to provide great value when starting.

While Reese started four of his first five games as a Wizard, Wednesday was his first appearance since March 16 due to his status as a two-way contract player. The rookie forward made the most of his opportunity, scoring a season-high 26 points while grabbing 17 rebounds. Reese’s opportunities depend on the availability of Alex Sarr and Tristan Vukčević, both of whom were out on Wednesday. The next time that happens, fantasy managers should not hesitate to stream Reese.

The Wizards have made two changes to their starting lineup for Wednesday’s game. Reese will start for the injured Tristan Vukčević, while Black steps in for Jamir Watkins, who will come off the bench. Reese has a 20-rebound game to his credit this season, and he’s worth streaming in deeper leagues for this matchup.

The rookie has started all three games of his NBA career after signing a two-way contract less than a week ago, but this way by far his best performance. This was his highest-scoring and highest-rebounding game so far, and he completely dominated down low, which included 10 offensive rebounds. Reese should certainly be considered for teams in need of boards down the stretch of this season, though it is unlikely this carries over into next year.

The Wizards won’t have Anthony Davis, Alex Sarr, Tristan Vukčević or Anthony Gill for Monday’s game due to injury, leaving the team light on frontcourt options. As a result, Reese, who signed a two-way contract over the weekend, will be a starter in his first NBA game. While the opportunity is an excellent one for the rookie forward/center, he’s tough to trust in fantasy basketball this early in his career, even with Washington’s lack of depth.
