Reed had another big game as he drew another start with Jalen Duren and Isaiah Stewart suspended. The 26-year-old center had 18 points and seven rebounds as well as one steal and three blocks on the defensive end. That’s a complete game from Reed. With Duren’s suspension over now, he’ll return to the bench, but could still have fantasy value with Stewart suspended another five games.

Reed got the starting nod with both Jalen Duren and Isaiah Stewart suspended for this game. He made an immediate impact on this game, contributing 16 points and three stocks in the first quarter without missing a shot in just the first quarter. He cooled off as the game progressed, but he was still incredibly productive. Stewart has six games left on his suspension, while Duren will only be sidelined for one more, which will be on Feb. 19 against the Knicks. Reed should get one more start and then play an increased role off the bench until Stewart returns.

Reed was able to play a larger role for a second straight game. The first was because Jalen Duren (knee) was sidelined. For this one, it was because both Duren and Isaiah Stewart were ejected for their involvement in a brawl. Managers should expect both Duren and Stewart to face suspensions, and Stewart’s could be lengthy. Reed is rostered in just one percent of Yahoo! leagues, and he should be worth streaming against the Raptors on Wednesday.

Reed is available after missing Thursday’s win over the Suns for personal reasons. With Jalen Duren and Isaiah Stewart also available, there won’t be enough minutes for Reed to affect fantasy basketball.

Reed missed Thursday’s game against the Suns and could remain out for a second straight game. However, with Jalen Duren (ankle) back and Isaiah Stewart healthy, Reed won’t see the floor enough to make an impact for fantasy managers whether he’s available or not.

No word yet on the reason for Reed’s absence or how long it might keep him out. With Jalen Duren (ankle) listed as probable for Thursday’s game, Reed was set to see his playing time diminish in the coming games.

The Pistons did not have Tobias Harris or Jalen Duren for Sunday’s game, so Reed joined Isaiah Stewart in the starting lineup. “BBall Paul” wasn’t a prolific scorer, but the rebounds and assists will be helpful to the few who streamed him. As for Stewart, he supplemented his eight points with three rebounds, two assists, two steals and three blocked shots. He remains the superior option for fantasy managers while Harris and Duren remain out.

The Pistons remain without Tobias Harris and Jalen Duren, opening up two spots in the starting lineup. While Stewart’s starting nod is not a surprise, Reed’s raises some eyebrows. He hasn’t started a game since November 14, when the Pistons were without Duren, Stewart and Harris. The three perimeter starters are unchanged.

With Jalen Duren (leg) unavailable, Isaiah Stewart served as the starting center in Miami. However, while Beef Stew (9/8/1/0/1 in 29 minutes) was solid in his time on the floor, Duren’s absence opened things up for Reed as well. “BBall Paul” recorded his second double-double of the season, with the first occurring in a November 12 win over the Bulls. Unlike Stewart, who can provide tangible fantasy value when Duren is playing, Reed needs an absence to become viable. He should only be added if Duren misses more time. Detroit opens a four-game Week 7 on Monday against the Hawks.

Even with Isaiah Stewart back from injury, Reed got the start with Jalen Duren (ankle) still out. The 26-year-old center didn’t have 28 points again like he did Wednesday, but he was still a factor on the glass with eight rebounds and on defense with two steals and three blocks. Reed is going to have value whenever one of Stewart or Duren are out this year.

With Jalen Duren and Isaiah Stewart among the seven Pistons ruled out for Wednesday’s game, Reed made his first start since the 2023-24 campaign. And “BBall Paul” made up for lost time, finishing two points and one rebound shy of his career-highs in those categories. Add in the assists and defensive stats, and this was a great night to stream Reed. His fantasy value moving forward depends on the availability of Duren and Stewart, but inexperienced fantasy managers now know to stream Reed when those two are out.

After appearing in 82 games as a member of the 76ers during the 2023-24 season, Reed made 45 appearances for the Pistons in 2024-25. He averaged 4.1 points and 2.7 rebounds in 9.7 minutes per game, primarily serving as the third-string center behind Jalen Duren and Isaiah Stewart. Reed will likely take on a similar role in 2025-26, making him a player who should not be selected in most fantasy league drafts.
