ESPN’s Shams Charania reports that Heat guard Terry Rozier was arrested early Thursday morning as part of an FBI sports betting probe.
This confirms a report from Pablo Torre and his podcast “Pablo Torre Finds Out.” Rozier had been connected to an ongoing investigation into illegal gambling on NBA games that also included Malik Beasley and other former players. However, the assumption had been that Rozier’s name was cleared and he had participated in training camp with the Heat. Instead, it now appears that Rozier could be charged and face suspension and/or jail time. The Department of Justice will have a press conference at 10 am ET on Thursday to announce all of the arrests and provide further information on potential consequences.

Terry Rozier is expected to participate in training camp with the Heat.
Rozier’s future with Miami remains in question, but he’ll be with the team when camp opens, which means his time with the team may not be over. With Tyler Herro (foot) expected to miss time to start the season, there is certainly a chance that Erik Spoelstra turns to Rozier for minutes in the backcourt, though there are multiple better options on the roster. Rozier’s production took a huge hit last year after five straight top-100 seasons, and there’s no reason to think he’ll bounce back this upcoming season.

Terry Rozier (ankle) is out for Game 3 on Saturday against the Cavaliers.
Rozier will miss a second straight game with a sprained left ankle. Given how poorly he played for most of the regular season, the veteran guard fell out of the rotation ahead of the Play-In tournament. Rozier’s continued absence will not have an impact.

Terry Rozier (ankle) will be out for Game 2 on Wednesday against Cleveland.
Rozier’s absence stems from an ankle injury sustained during Monday’s optional workout. He fell out of Miami’s rotation before injuring his ankle, so his absence won’t have a noticeable impact on Miami’s rotation.

Terry Rozier (ankle) is questionable to play against the Cavaliers in Game 2 on Wednesday.
Rozier reportedly injured his ankle during an optional workout and will be listed as questionable for Game 2. However, Rozier fell out of the rotation in March and didn’t see the floor at all during either play-in game and Game 1 of this series. His status won’t impact Miami’s rotation or gameplan.

Terry Rozier (illness) is not on the injury report for Saturday’s game against the Bucks.
Rozier will be available on Saturday after missing Thursday’s loss to the Grizzlies. He’ll give the Heat additional perimeter depth, but Rozier has been a significant disappointment in fantasy basketball this season. He’s still rostered in 49 percent of Yahoo! leagues, which is too high considering the lackluster production.

Terry Rozier (illness) is out for Thursday’s game against the Grizzlies.
While Rozier played 33 minutes in Monday’s win over the Wizards, he has been mainly out of the rotation the last few weeks. Scary Terry did not play in Wednesday’s win over the Celtics, and Thursday’s absence makes it seven of the last nine that he has not been available for. Pelle Larsson has recently played well as a starter and is worth streaming in deep leagues.

Terry Rozier (illness) is probable to play against the Clippers on Wednesday.
Rozier should be good to go despite a chest illness, but Rozier has had an abysmal season in Miami. He currently ranks outside the top-200 in nine-cat leagues for the first time since the 2016-17 season. He’ll continue to play a limited role off the bench, but he shouldn’t be rostered in most formats.

Terry Rozier, Tyler Herro, Alec Burks, Kevin Love and Bam Adebayo will start Monday’s game against the Wizards.
In addition to Andrew Wiggins and Jaime Jaquez Jr., the Heat are without Davion Mitchell and Kel’el Ware for Monday’s game. Rozier and Love move into the starting lineup, with the former offering a higher fantasy ceiling. Duncan Robinson and Haywood Highsmith will play rotation minutes off the bench.
