With his streak of three straight games with a double-double ending in Friday’s loss to the Spurs, Şengün got to work on another streak Sunday afternoon. Of the five double-doubles he has recorded this season, the Rockets center has scored at least 20 points in four. He and Kevin Durant have worked well alongside each other, with both ranked safely within the top-50 in eight-cat formats. The Rockets begin a three-game Week 4 on Wednesday against the Wizards.

Sengun had another balanced performance on Friday against the Spurs, which was good enough to nearly collect a triple-double. Such well-rounded stat lines are the new normal for Sengun in his fifth NBA season, having firmly placed himself on the short list of upper-echelon centers. Inefficient shooting from beyond the arc ultimately led to him falling short of his scoring average and prevented him from achieving an even more dominant final stat line. Still, Sengun logged another solid game overall.

Sengun has now recorded a double-double in three consecutive games. While the 23-year-old plays the center position, he gets a good amount of assists and is currently on pace for a career-high in assists with Fred VanVleet (knee) out this year. Sengun had a second-round ADP this draft season and he’s certainly living up to it so far this season.

Şengün finished Monday’s victory with his third double-double of the season and second in as many games. The Rockets center has been a top-30 player in eight- and nine-cat formats thus far, proving slightly more valuable in the former. Şengün is currently averaging a career-high 7.3 assists per game, benefiting from more opportunities to facilitate with Fred VanVleet (knee) sidelined. At this rate, it would be unsurprising if Şengün produced a top-25 fantasy season.

Sengun fell one assist shy of recording a triple-double as Houston’s sheer size and athleticism advantages were simply too much for the undersized Celtics. He shot just 38 percent from the floor in this one, but he was able to pull down 10 rebounds and served as the Rockets de-facto point guard for large stretches of the contest. The 23-year-old burgeoning star has certainly lived up to his lofty second-round ADP for fantasy managers in the early stages of the season.

Sengun offers one of the highest floors in fantasy basketball. The 23-year-old center has had at least 17 points, at least six rebounds and at least six assists in all four games so far this season. Sengun is paying off his second round ADP partly thanks to his improved three-point shooting. He’s made 8-of-14 three-point attempts to start the year.

Sengun struggled in Houston’s loss to Detroit, but he bounced back with an efficient performance to help the Rockets get their first win of the season. Many were expecting a breakout year from Sengun, which is why he was drafted in the second round of Yahoo! leagues. So far, in two of his three games, he has played like that player. He’s averaging 25.7 points, 8.0 rebounds, 6.7 assists, 2.0 steals and 2.3 threes per game this season and will look to stay hot in Toronto on Wednesday.

Sengun had 39 points in the season opener against the Thunder, but looked more like the offensive player he’s been in previous years on Friday. Sengun missed both of his three-point attempts after making 5-of-8 on Tuesday. He was 5-of-18 from the field overall. With Fred VanVleet (ACL) out, consistent scoring from Sengun is paramount for the Rockets’ season.

Şengün was sensational in Tuesday’s one-point defeat, recording a complete stat line and finishing three assists shy of a triple-double. Included in that stat line was a 5-of-8 effort from beyond the arc, a career-high in made triples for the Rockets center. Şengün effectively served as the starting power forward in Houston’s opening lineup, as head coach Ime Udoka decided to go big and start Steven Adams (four points, 13 rebounds and three assists in 37 minutes) at center. Regardless of where he’s used within the Rockets’ offense, Şengün will be a critical figure, especially with Fred VanVleet (ACL) unavailable. One game doesn’t constitute an entire season, but managers who have Şengün rostered must be thrilled with his performance on Opening Night.

Fred VanVleet’s torn ACL has placed the spotlight squarely on second-year guard Reed Sheppard during the preseason, but he isn’t the only capable playmaker at head coach Ime Udoka’s disposal. Şengün and Amen Thompson (19/7/6/2/1 with one three-pointer) are also positive assets, with the latter finishing Wednesday’s victory with a points/assists double-double. Şengün has averaged 2.6 turnovers per game over the last three seasons, but can he maintain that with increased playmaking responsibilities? If so, the Rockets center can be a fantasy stud in 2025-26.

With Kevin Durant sitting out Monday’s preseason opener, Şengün was left to lead the way offensively for Houston’s starting unit. He was excellent as a scorer and playmaker for others, with the latter being especially important since the Rockets are unlikely to have Fred VanVleet (knee) this season. Şengün can make plays for himself or his teammates, even operating on the perimeter sometimes. Even if Houston decides to start a more traditional point guard to account for Fred VanVleet’s absence, Şengün will boast a raised fantasy ceiling due to the increased need for his playmaking ability.

In a matchup of the two nations to go undefeated in this summer’s FIBA EuroBasket competition, Türkiye fell by an 88-83 final score. While the ending was a disappointment for Şengün, he had an outstanding tournament overall. In nine games, the Rockets center averaged 21.6 points, 10.1 rebounds, 6.6 assists, 1.0 steals, 1.1 blocks and 0.8 three-pointers, shooting nearly 60 percent from the field and 75 percent from the foul line. Germany kept Şengün off the boards in Sunday’s final, with the three rebounds being the fewest he recorded in a game this event. He’ll look to use this summer as a springboard into 2025-26, with Şengün boasting top-50 fantasy potential at a minimum.

A game many expected to be a thriller turned out to be a laugher, as Türkiye rolled into Sunday’s final by a 94-68 final score. While Şengün did more of his usual handiwork against the Greeks, recording another double-double, his “supporting cast” made the difference. Ercan Osmani came out hot and never cooled down, finishing with 28 points, six rebounds, two assists, two steals, one block and six three-pointers, as he routinely made Greece pay for devoting too much defensive attention to Şengün. Former NBA wing Cedi Osman (17/3/3/2 with two three-pointers) and former University of Miami point guard Shane Larkin (14/2/5 with one three-pointer) also scored in double figures for Türkiye, which is a win over Germany away from the country’s first-ever EuroBasket title.

The big man came away with another strong performance in Eurobasket as Turkey came away victorious to advance to the semifinals. Sengun has operated as a point center throughout his NBA career, and his elite passing skills were on full display in Tuesday’s convincing win. Turkey will play the winner of Lithuania-Greece on Friday with a championship appearance on the line.

Sengun was dominant in the Group Play games, and that carried over to the Round of 16. This was his second straight double-double and his fifth straight 20-point game. With the win, they’ll take on the winner of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Poland in the next round of the tournament.

While Türkiye and Serbia already clinched places in the Round of 16 at EuroBasket, the top spot in Group A was on the line Wednesday afternoon. Şengün and company won a 95-90 thriller, with the Rockets center outperforming three-time NBA Most Valuable Player Nikola Jokić. Not only did he record his second double-double of this summer’s EuroBasket, but Şengün dished out eight assists. He’s recorded at least seven helpers in three of Türkiye’s five games thus far, and his play is why they can win the event.

Sengun has started EuroBasket off strong and helped Turkey win their first three games. He’s been able to stuff the stat sheet, averaging 19.7 points, 9.0 rebounds and 7.0 assists per game thus far. Sengun will continue to lead the way for Turkey, and if he continues to play this well, they’re going to have an opportunity to win the entire tournament, which will be a nice boost for him ahead of next season for the Rockets.

Sengun contributed meaningfully across the board on Wednesday against Latvia, and he did the same in Friday’s 92-78 victory. Houston’s point center should be poised for another strong season operating as a low-post offensive threat, rebounder and facilitator. He’s got nightly triple-double upside any time he touches the court, and that goes for Eurobasket play, too.

Sengun helped Turkey get the victory in their first game of EuroBasket, and he did a little bit of everything on both ends of the floor, nearly recording a triple-double. Cedi Osman, who last played in the NBA during the 2023-24 season, led the team in scoring at 20 points, but Sengun was the star of the show and will continue to fill that role throughout the tournament.

Sengun finished Sunday’s defeat with his fifth double-double in seven games, grabbing nine rebounds in the two exceptions. Sengun’s efficiency in Game 7 wasn’t up to standard, but the Warriors did an excellent job of making him work for his looks after he shot 11-of-18 from the field in Game 1. Result aside, this was a promising first playoff series for Sengun. From a fantasy standpoint, he did not reach his Yahoo! ADP (27) in eight- or nine-cat formats this season. However, the skill set is such that Sengun will not slip outside the first 50 picks in fantasy drafts next fall.

Sengun recorded his fourth double-double in six games on Friday, helping the Rockets force a decisive Game 7 on Sunday afternoon. While the sledding has not been easy for the young center playing against a smaller Warriors lineup, Sengun has more than held his own in this series. The Rockets will need a similar effort from him to defend their home court and eliminate the Warriors on Sunday.

After dominating as a scorer in Game 4, Sengun didn’t have the same success in Game 5, mostly because he didn’t need to. He only took nine shots and impacted the game in other ways. He nearly recorded a triple-double and was able to make contributions on the defensive end. Heading back to Golden State for Game 6 on Friday, Sengun may have to take on a larger scoring role to help Houston keep its season alive.

After struggling in Saturday’s Game 3 loss, Sengun bounced back with a dominant performance in this game. Unfortunately, it wasn’t enough to even the series. Sengun had an opportunity to give Houston a late lead, but his shot over Draymond Green was off. Still, it was an impressive showing from Sengun, and he led all scorers in this game. The Rockets now trail 3-1 in the series, but they will head home for Game 5 on Wednesday with an opportunity to regroup and keep their season alive in front of their home crowd.

After victimizing the Warriors in the first two games of the series, Sengun was held in check Saturday night. Golden State’s decision to start Quentin Post meant the Rockets’ center had to contend with more size at the start of the game, and he struggled. Making matters worse was Sengun’s 1-of-6 night from the foul line. A 69.2 percent foul shooting during the regular season, that’s going to be an area of difficulty for Sengun, but he can’t be as poor as he was on Saturday. Now trailing two games to one, the Rockets will look to even the series on Monday.

The lone Rockets starter to excel in Sunday’s series-opening defeat, Sengun had plenty of help in Game 2. Although the point total decreased, his rebounds and assists were significantly better than in Game 1. With the Warriors using Draymond Green as their starting “center,” Sengun will have a size advantage more often than not. Some nights, that may mean more scoring, but on Wednesday, it was about the rebounds and assists for the young Rockets center. The series shifts to San Francisco, with Game 3 scheduled for Saturday night.

Sengun was one of the few Rockets who managed to get going offensively in Sunday’s series opener, shooting over 50 percent from the field. The two-big lineup of him and Steven Adams did not significantly impact the action, but that’s an approach the Rockets will take when Stephen Curry is not on the floor. However, more important will be getting consistent production from the guards, as Fred VanVleet and Jalen Green shot a combined 7-of-34 from the field in Game 1. Life will become far more difficult for Sengun if the guards are unable to space the floor effectively. Game 2 is on Wednesday.

Based on the Rockets’ initial injury report for Sunday’s regular-season finale, Sengun and Thompson will be available. However, Houston has already secured the two-seed in the West, so the starters’ playing time may be limited. Jeff Green, Cam Whitmore and Jock Landale started Friday’s loss to the Lakers, and the latter two are safe bets to log rotation minutes off the bench on Sunday.

Sengun’s double-double was his second in three games and his 45th of the season. The Rockets’ center was a top-100 player in eight-cat formats over the past two weeks, with his value taking a slight hit compared to what he’s done this season. Sengun and the Rockets are now one win or a Lakers’ loss away from wrapping up the two-seed in the West. This has been a highly impressive turnaround for the franchise, and Sengun has been in the middle of it all.

Sengun is not necessarily known for his scoring, but has had at least 30 points twice over his last five games. The 22-year-old center is certainly capable of big scoring games, but those are a rare occurrence given the big man doesn’t shoot many three-pointers at all. Sengun hasn’t lived up to his preseason Yahoo! ADP of 27 this season, but he’s still a capable player with a bright future.

Sengun finished one assist shy of a triple-double on Wednesday as he helped the Rockets clinch their first playoff berth since the Orlando bubble in 2020. Over the past two weeks, the Rockets center has provided seventh-round in eight- and nine-cat formats. While Sengun has not met his Yahoo! ADP (27) this season, his production has not fallen off a cliff. Also, the improvement of some of his teammates has impacted his usage and fantasy value this season.
