Sexton is dealing with a strained right ankle, so he’s on the injury report. However, the probable tag suggests he’ll be available, starting alongside Kon Knueppel and Sion James. Sexton hasn’t been a great option in category leagues, but he’s worth rostering as long as the Hornets are without LaMelo Ball.

Sexton is back in the starting lineup after missing Friday’s loss to the Heat with a neck injury. His return means Tre Mann will be relegated to the bench, lowering his fantasy ceiling considerably. However, he will still be in the rotation as the Hornets continue without the injured LaMelo Ball.

Sexton missed the Hornets’ most recent game with a neck injury, but he’s good to go for Monday. With LaMelo Ball (ankle) still out, Sexton should return to the starting lineup, pushing Tre Mann to the bench.

Sexton has been downgraded from doubtful to out, joining LaMelo Ball (ankle) on the sideline. Tre Mann, Liam McNeeley and KJ Simpson should play plenty due to the Hornets not having their two best guards. Of the three, Mann offers the highest streaming ceiling.

Sexton was listed as probable on Thursday, but he’s now in danger of sitting out based on Friday’s update. With LaMelo Ball (ankle) also listed as doubtful, Tre Mann is the most likely candidate to fill in for Sexton as a microwave scoring option.

Sexton has started the last three games for the Hornets and should remain in that role once again despite a neck injury. LaMelo Ball (ankle) is questionable once again, and if he remains out, Sexton will see a boost in usage.

In his first game against his former team, Sexton had a productive Sunday evening. The veteran guard didn’t shoot the ball all that well, but still cracked double figures in scoring while also registering double-digit assists along the way. His six turnovers ultimately brought his fantasy production down a bit, but his first double-double of the season was a timely one as the Hornets were able to stop a three-game losing streak.

Sexton came off the bench Thursday night, with rookie Sion James receiving a promotion. The lineup change did not negatively impact Sexton’s output, as he shot the ball well from the field and recorded a solid stat line. Rostered in 35 percent of Yahoo! leagues, he’ll have value for as long as the Hornets are without Brandon Miller (shoulder). As for James, he finished his first start with eight points, four rebounds, one assist, one steal and one three-pointer in 28 minutes. He isn’t a must-add player, but the Hornets end Week 2 with a Saturday/Sunday back-to-back.

Sexton has scored at least 18 points in three straight games, fitting in nicely alongside LaMelo Ball, even if the Hornets’ defense has suffered. He shot the ball well against the Heat, but Sexton committed four turnovers and did not provide any defensive statistics. Even before Brandon Miller’s shoulder injury, he was a starter, but the third-year wing’s absence frees up additional scoring opportunities for Sexton. And with the Hornets playing three games in the final four days of Week 2, adding Sexton (32 percent rostered, Yahoo!) would be a good idea if he’s on the waiver wire.

Injured during the preseason, Murray-Boyles will make his official NBA debut on Sunday. His return will give Toronto another option off the bench after only two reserves (Sandro Mamukelashvili and Gradey Dick) exceeded 15 minutes in Friday’s loss to the Bucks. While Murray-Boyles may not significantly impact fantasy basketball in the short term, he has long-term value in dynasty formats.

After coming off the bench in the season opener, Sexton moved into the starting lineup in place of Kon Knueppel. He took advantage of the role increase. He played 17 minutes and scores 15 points on Wednesday, but he logged 30 minutes in this one and was able to add the boost in assists. Brandon Miller exited early with a shoulder injury, which allowed Knueppel to start the second half. Sexton may continue to start over Knueppel regardless, but if Miller is sidelined, Sexton’s role feels safer.

Both Sexton and Kon Knueppel were solid in the season opener, but coach Charles Lee will make the change to move Knueppel to the bench for the second game of the year. Knueppel should still play a significant role, but this switch will raise Sexton’s fantasy ceiling.

CMB has missed the first two games of the season and is in danger of missing a third. Friday’s loss was a closer game than the season opener, so the only reserves that played more than 15 minutes were Sandro Mamukelashvili and Gradey Dick. If CMB plays, he’ll likely hover around that same range.

According to Raptors head coach Darko Rajakovic, Murray-Boyles is progressing in his recovery from a strained right forearm muscle but is not ready to make his official Raptors debut. Sandro Mamukelashvili and Jonathan Mogbo will continue to handle most of the available reserve frontcourt minutes in Murray-Boyles’ absence.

The rookie will have a chance to make his regular season debut against Milwaukee. In the season opener, Jonathan Mogbo and Sandro Mamukelashvili filled out most of the reserve post minutes, though the lopsided score altered the rotation. CMB should play a significant backup role and cut into the minutes of Mogbo and Mamu if he’s available.

CMB missed time during the preseason with what was being called an elbow injury, and the Raptors are now labeling it as a forearm strain. Jonathan Mogbo will likely fill CMB’s reserve minutes behind Scottie Barnes until Murray-Boyles returns.

With LaMelo Ball getting the night off, Sexton served as the Hornets’ starting point guard on Friday. The results were mixed. While he did record a 20-point double-double, Sexton was also responsible for nine of the Hornets’ 21 turnovers. That isn’t a big deal for managers either punting turnovers or competing in eight-cat formats, but that’s an area Sexton will need to clean up. Especially when considering LaMelo’s injury history, there may be times during the season when the Hornets need Sexton to take on more playmaking responsibilities.

For their final exhibition game, the Hornets will feature a combination of veteran and youthful players in their opening lineup. Bridges projects to be a regular-season starter, but aside from him, the rest of Friday’s starting five could have a chance to make one final impression before the preseason concludes. Charlotte will have a chance to finish the preseason with more wins than losses.

Murray-Boyles injured his right elbow during Toronto’s October 10 exhibition against the Celtics and has not played since. While the rookie will not play on Friday, there’s hope that he’ll be good to go for the Raptors’ regular-season opener on October 22. Murray-Boyles’ defensive versatility should get him into the rotation once healthy, but he may not significantly impact fantasy basketball early on.

Murray-Boyles, inserted into the Raptors’ starting lineup for Friday’s game, suffered a right elbow contusion during the first quarter and did not return. The lottery pick only played eight minutes, finishing with four points (2-of-3 FGs), one rebound and one assist. The Raptors don’t open the regular season until October 22; hopefully, that’s enough time for Murray-Boyles to get back to full strength. Following the game, Raptors head coach Darko Rajakovic said the X-rays came back negative.

Sexton came off the bench and got to work quickly on the offensive end against the Thunder. Largely due to his three-point production, the veteran guard finished as one of five Charlotte players to score in double figures. He didn’t have much of an impact in any other categories on Thursday, but still displayed how he could be useful for the Hornets during the 2025-26 season. Sexton could potentially begin the regular season as a reserve player.

Murray-Boyles, the ninth overall pick in this summer’s draft, provided a solid stat line in his second preseason game. Having struggled in Toronto’s preseason opener, the rookie forward looked far more comfortable Wednesday night. While Murray-Boyles is listed at 6-foot-8, the Raptors have not hesitated to go small under Darko Rajakovic, as evidenced by Jonathan Mogbo (5/7/2/2) starting at center for the sidelined Jakob Poeltl. The Raptors’ willingness to go small in an attempt to sew chaos defensively may result in consistent opportunities for Murray-Boyles once the regular season begins, and he could be especially valuable later in the year if Toronto is not in contention for a playoff spot.

CMB hasn’t popped in the box score through his first two games of Summer League, but he has been impressive on the defensive end, which was a major reason he went in the lottery. He hit a three-pointer in this game after not hitting one in his previous game. If he can at least become a competent floor spacer, the sky is the limit for him.

After three seasons in Utah, Sexton is on the move, with the Jazz sending him and a future draft pick to Charlotte. The scoring guard appeared in 63 games last season, averaging 18.4 points, 2.7 rebounds, 4.2 assists, 0.7 steals and 1.7 three-pointers in 27.9 minutes. Primarily a points and assists option, Sexton finished the season ranked outside the top 150 in nine-cat formats. With Utah’s point guard including Keyonte George, Isaiah Collier and first-round pick Walter Clayton Jr., Sexton being moved is unsurprising. His value in Charlotte may be limited, but there could be opportunities to provide value due to LaMelo Ball’s injury history.

After his freshman season at South Carolina, CMB had a case to be selected in the lottery last season. However, he opted to return to college for another year and made significant improvements, averaging 16.8 points, 8.3 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 1.5 steals and 1.3 blocks per game. Murray-Boyles projects to be an elite defender, but there are questions about how his offensive game will develop and if standing only 6’7” will limit his impact. However, his near 7’1” wingspan should help with that, and he was a solid playmaker in college. How well his shot develops will be critical. While Murray-Boyles is not a center, the defensive versatility and effort level should mesh well with a Raptors squad that was one of the best defensive teams in the NBA over the final three months of the regular season. His fantasy impact may be limited early on, especially with the need to improve his perimeter shot, but CMB should play rotation minutes.

Sexton has scored 27 points in two straight games, and the Jazz guard has recorded 20 or more in four of his last five. Over the past two weeks, he is ranked just outside the top 50 in nine-cat formats and has been a top-75 player in eight-cat. For Sexton managers whose leagues run through Week 23, he’ll have solid fantasy value as the Jazz continue to play him starters’ minutes. However, Utah only plays three games next week, starting with the Trail Blazers on Wednesday.

Sexton’s minutes have been up and down lately as the Jazz try to take a look at some younger players. He played 33 minutes Friday against the Pacers and was able to score 27 points. The outing was a bit of an anomaly for Sexton as he shot just 8-of-15 from the field, but got to the foul line 10 times and knocked down nine free throws to boost his total. The 26-year-old shooting guard is certainly capable of scoring upwards of 20 points a game consistently, but the Jazz don’t seem all that interested in giving him the opportunity every night.
