Added to the Pistons’ injury report on Saturday morning, Stewart’s absence opens up a spot in the starting lineup. Paul Reed, who started alongside Beef Stew in Wednesday’s win over the Bulls, will have solid streaming upside since Jalen Duren (ankle) is also out.

Stewart is a late addition to the injury report, which isn’t uncommon when illnesses pop up. He’s been starting with Jalen Duren (ankle) sidelined, but if Stewart is out as well, Paul Reed would likely step in as the starting center and have tons of upside as a streamer.

With Tobias Harris and Jalen Duren out, Stewart’s fantasy value has received a boost recently. However, with Cade Cunningham also out on Wednesday, few envisioned Beef Stew putting on the performance that he did against the Bulls. He only missed three of his 17 shot attempts, finishing with his first 30-point game as a pro. Stewart only grabbed three rebounds, but the points, field-goal percentage and “stocks” more than compensate for that “deficiency.” Rostered in 22 percent of Yahoo! leagues, Stewart has offered sixth-round value in eight- and nine-cat formats over the past week.

Tobias Harris injured his hip during the first quarter of Tuesday’s win over the Lakers, opening up a spot in the starting lineup. As was the case earlier this season, Stewart will move into the starting lineup. Already worth rostering in deep leagues, Beef Stew is worth streaming in 12-team formats until Harris returns.

With the Pistons losing Tobias Harris to a hip injury during the first half, Stewart was inserted into the lineup to begin the third quarter. That did not significantly affect his playing time, with Beef Stew logging 18 minutes. However, Stewart didn’t miss a shot, and he was one of six reserves to play at least eight minutes. A move into the starting lineup if Harris misses time would raise Stewart’s fantasy ceiling, but the jump may not be extreme due to Detroit’s improved depth.

Tobias Harris’ return from injury sent Stewart back to Detroit’s second unit, but that didn’t stop the sixth-year center from putting up good fantasy numbers. Off the bench, he logged 21 minutes and shot efficiently en route to finishing as the Pistons’ scoring leader. He also tallied a season-high in assists along the way and put together a second consecutive strong fantasy performance. Stewart will remain in a reserve role as long as Detroit’s roster is healthy. He likely isn’t worth rostering in fantasy leagues unless injuries lead him to start and consistently log heavy minutes.

With Tobias Harris (ankle) unavailable, Stewart made his seventh start of the season on Saturday. After shooting 4-of-10 from three in his previous nine appearances, Beef Stew shot 3-of-5 against the Bucks. If there was a disappointing aspect of his performances, it was the lack of rebounds. Over the last two games, Stewart totaled three rebounds, a poor return for a player averaging 6.0 per game on the season. Recent rebounding production aside, he remains a player who should be rostered in deep leagues.

Stewart will slide into the starting unit with Jalen Duren (leg) unavailable. The rest of the starters will remain the same, but Stewart will receive a significant boost in minutes and value as a starter.

Stewart missed three games with an ankle injury, but is set to make his return on Friday against the 76ers. The 24-year-old power forward is likely to see a significant workload with Jalen Duren (ankle) out. Paul Reed, who was excellent in Wednesday’s win over the Bulls, will likely head back to the bench in favor of Stewart.

Beef Stew has missed Detroit’s last three games but could be back to take on Philadelphia. Ron Holland has been starting in his place and would likely return to a bench role if Stewart is back. However, if Stewart is back and Jalen Duren (ankle) remains out, Holland could continue to start, with Paul Reed returning to the bench.

Stewart has missed Detroit’s last two games, including Monday’s overtime win over the Wizards. With Tobias Harris (ankle) also out, Ron Holland II has moved into the starting lineup and is worth streaming in deeper leagues. Beef Stew’s absence also impacts the center rotation, with Paul Reed moving into the backup role.

Stewart, who sprained his ankle during Friday’s win over the Nets, was initially doubtful for Sunday. His absence opens up a spot in the starting lineup, as Tobias Harris is also out with a sprained ankle. Ron Holland started the second half of Friday’s victory, making him the likely candidate to fill the void on Sunday.

Stewart has been starting in place of Tobias Harris (ankle), and if Stewart ends up playing, he should get another start. However, the doubtful tag holds true, Ron Holland, who started the second half on Friday, would likely start against Philadelphia.

Stewart sprained his left ankle during the second quarter of Friday’s game, exiting with 8:36 remaining in the period. While Jalen Duren replaced Beef Stew at the time of the injury, he’s already in the starting lineup. Ron Holland started the third quarter and could remain in that role if Stewart and Tobias Harris (ankle) aren’t available for Sunday’s game against the 76ers.

Beef Stew replaced Tobias Harris (ankle) in the starting lineup against Memphis, and it resulted in a monster night for him. It was Stewart’s first start of the season, and he finished with season-highs in points and rebounds while tying his season-high for blocks, assists and three-pointers. If Harris remains out against the Jazz on Wednesday, Stewart could be in line for another start and would be considered a valuable streaming target in that scenario.

Stewart moves into the starting lineup on Monday, as the Pistons are without Tobias Harris. Beef Stew has played well to begin the season, and the spot start raises his fantasy ceiling. The lineup change may also mean a few more minutes for Paul Reed, but he is not worth the streaming risk.

Had the Pistons mounted a comeback and won this game, Stewart would’ve been the player of the game for Detroit hands down. The 24-year-old power forward had 20 points on 14 shots, made both of his three-point attempts, grabbed 10 rebounds and had four blocks. All in 25 minutes of action. Stewart isn’t always going to be this efficient offensively and even when he is he doesn’t play over 30 minutes. He’s still going to be hard pressed to provide standalone fantasy value this year.

Stewart, who missed the final five games of the Pistons’ first-round playoff series with the Knicks due to a knee injury, has started both of Detroit’s preseason games. Starter Jalen Duren has been out, so this is not a case of Beef Stew taking the lead in a competition for that role. Having failed to crack the top 100 in any of his first five seasons, the best-case scenario for Stewart would be to provide consistent late-round value. However, he isn’t a player who should be selected in standard league drafts.

Stewart appeared at Pistons shootaround Thursday afternoon, his first basketball activity since leaving Game 1 against the Knicks with a knee injury. Still, the 23-year-old center isn’t available for Game 6 as he’s set to miss his fifth game in a row. The Pistons are in a must-win situation Thursday and will have to roll with Paul Reed again as the backup center to Jalen Duren.

Stewart has missed Detroit’s last four games but could return for the final game in Detroit of this series. The Pistons must win to stay alive, but that wasn’t enough of a factor for Stewart to play through the injury in Game 5. If he remains out, Paul Reed will continue to fill out the backup center minutes.

Stewart has not appeared in a game since the series opener on April 19 due to an inflamed right knee. Beef Stew is left to hope his teammates can force a Game 6 as they go into Tuesday trailing by three games to one. Paul Reed will continue to serve as Jalen Duren’s backup, but he’s unlikely to surpass 15 minutes in that role.

Stewart has missed the last two games of this series, with Paul Reed replacing him in the rotation. The Pistons would stick with that adjustment if Beef Stew misses Game 4. His absence also means more playing time for starter Jalen Duren, provided he stays out of foul trouble.

Stewart will miss a second straight game due to right knee inflammation, leaving the Pistons down a player within their frontcourt rotation. Paul Reed will serve as the backup center, while starter Jalen Duren’s minutes will increase. Reed only played 11 minutes in Monday’s Game 2 victory but led the Pistons in plus/minus.

Stewart’s lingering case of right knee inflammation kept him on the sidelines for Monday’s Game 2 victory. Starter Jalen Duren’s playing time increased, as he logged 37 minutes, with Paul Reed playing the other 11 at the center position. Expect a similar split if “Beef Stew” cannot play on Thursday.

Stewart underwent postgame imaging after Saturday’s loss after struggling through that game. He won’t be available as Jalen Duren’s backup off the bench. Paul Reed is next in line at center, but he isn’t a player that Detroit wants to have to trust in the postseason. Duren may just end up playing more minutes.

Stewart has been dealing with right knee inflammation for a while now, including during Saturday’s loss to the Knicks in the series opener. While “Beef Stew” played for 19 minutes, he appeared to struggle with his movements and was not as impactful as he could have been. If Stewart cannot play on Monday, Paul Reed would likely move into the rotation; however, he is not as impactful, especially defensively.

Sunday’s game will be Stewart’s second straight missed with a sore knee. With the Pistons locked into the sixth seed in the East, ensuring Beef Stew is healthy for the playoffs is the priority. Paul Reed will play rotation minutes off the bench and may take on a heavy workload in the regular season finale.
