Signed to a contract for the rest of the season at the All-Star break, Sochan made his Knicks’ debut on Thursday. And those who were concerned that his playing time would come at Mohamed Diawara’s (two rebounds, one assist and one steal) expense were proven right, as the rookie was limited to nine minutes. Neither Sochan nor Diawara stands to affect fantasy basketball, but the hope is that one (or both) can provide some defense on the wings. That didn’t happen against the Pistons, who completed their sweep of the regular-season series.

Sochan most recently played the final four minutes of Saturday’s win over the Mavericks. The 2022 lottery pick has not been in the Spurs’ rotation on most nights, prompting rumors before the trade deadline that the forward was hoping to be moved. Once he clears waivers, Sochan will become an unrestricted free agent. In 28 games this season, he averaged 4.1 points, 2.6 rebounds and 1.0 assists in 12.8 minutes per appearance.

Sochan has missed the last five games with a quad injury. While it’s good news that he’s back, the 22-year-old small forward wasn’t in the Spurs rotation prior to his injury. He’s not worth rostering in most fantasy leagues this year.

Sochan has missed San Antonio’s last five games. However, he was not in the rotation before the injury, so the former lottery pick’s availability does not affect fantasy basketball.

This will be a fifth straight absence for Sochan, though he hasn’t been part of the rotation when healthy. His continued absence won’t alter the Spurs’ rotation.

Wednesday’s game will be the fourth that Sochan has missed with a strained left quad. The few who still have the former first-round pick rostered will have to root for him to be traded ahead of Thursday’s deadline. When healthy, Sochan doesn’t get the minutes needed to affect fantasy basketball.

Sunday’s game will be the third that Sochan has missed with a strained left quad. His continued absence does not affect fantasy basketball, as the fourth-year forward is not guaranteed rotation minutes when healthy.

Sochan will miss a second straight game, but that won’t have much if an impact on San Antonio’s rotation. He hasn’t seen the floor much when healthy, and Devin Vassell is now healthy. Sochan could make a fantasy impact for a different team if he is traded at the deadline, but he isn’t worth rostering as a Spur.

Sochan’s sore left quad will keep him out of Wednesday’s game. His absence does not affect fantasy basketball, as the former lottery pick has not played many minutes recently.

Sochan could miss Wednesday’s game, but even when he’s been available recently, the former top-10 pick hasn’t seen the floor often. His potential absence won’t have much of an impact on the team’s rotation.

Sochan is good to go after initially being listed as questionable. While he has not affected fantasy basketball this season, there may be a few more minutes available since Luke Kornet (adductor) is out.

Sochan has been a non-factor in fantasy basketball, but he may have a few more minutes if he plays on Thursday. Luke Kornet (adductor) is also questionable for Thursday night, and using Sochan as a small-ball five when Victor Wembanyama is off the floor could be preferable to inserting Bismack Biyombo into the rotation. However, this is only an option if Kornet can’t play.

Sochan played 23 minutes in his season debut on Wednesday and 15 minutes against Houston on Friday. He’ll occupy a role off the bench once again, and he should see 15-20 minutes, though that may not be enough time for him to make an impact in the box score.

Sochan has played in the last two games after returning from a wrist injury. The question remains if he’ll play the second game of a back-to-back against the Pelicans on Saturday. If the Spurs rest Sochan, Carter Bryant could return to the rotation.

Sochan is good to go after being listed as questionable on the Spurs’ initial injury report. He played 22 minutes in his first action of the season on Wednesday and may be asked to take on a similar workload.

Due to calf and wrist injuries, Sochan did not make his first appearance of the season until Wednesday. He looked sharp offensively, only missing one shot from the field. More encouraging may be the fact that Sochan played 23 minutes without any issues. Also making their season debuts for the Spurs were Lindy Waters III (six points, one rebound and two three-pointers) and Kelly Olynyk (four points, four rebounds and three assists), but they’re unlikely to impact fantasy basketball in the way that Sochan potentially can.

Sochan, Olynyk and Waters are available to make their first appearances of the 2025-26 season, with the first two offering higher fantasy ceilings. However, all will come off the bench, limiting their impact in fantasy basketball. Sochan and Olynyk are worth watching in the short term, but neither is a “must-add” player.

Sochan has yet to appear in a game this season, but there is a chance that this will change on Wednesday. While his absence does not impact the starting lineup, it does affect the Spurs’ bench rotation. Keldon Johnson has been the most reliable frontcourt reserve, with rookie Carter Bryant also picking up some minutes. Bryant could slip out of the rotation once Sochan is cleared to play.

This will be a second straight absence for Sochan to start the season. Julian Champagnie and Harrison Barnes started at the forward spot in the season opener, and with no changes to the injury report, they should occupy those same roles once again.

After missing EuroBasket with a calf injury, Sochan has a sprained left wrist and will miss Wednesday’s opener. His absence means more opportunities for Julian Champagnie, Keldon Johnson and Carter Bryant, with the former having been a starter during the preseason. Champagnie should hold onto that role, as the Spurs are also without De’Aaron Fox, while Bryant boasts long-term upside, especially in dynasty leagues.

Sochan was gearing up to represent Poland at EuroBasket, beginning on August 27, when he felt pain in his calf. While the injury is not considered serious, the decision has been made to send him back to San Antonio for rehab. The expectation is that Sochan will be healthy when the Spurs begin training camp in late September, so the impact on his fantasy prospects should be minimal at worst. Sochan was a late-round option in fantasy leagues last season, ranking just outside the top-150 in per-game value. Only appearing in 54 games negatively impacted his totals value, as expected.

This will be a third-straight absence for Sochan, which means that Bismack Biyombo should continue to start at center, with Julian Champagnie taking on extra minutes off the bench. Neither player has been great in place of Sochan, though Champagnie has been a slightly better option.

Due to back spasms, Sochan did not play in Tuesday’s loss to the Magic. And with his coach saying he does not believe the third-year forward will travel to Denver, fantasy managers can assume Sochan will not play on Wednesday. Bismack Biyombo (11/5/1/1/2 in 26 minutes) replaced him in the starting lineup, but Julian Champagnie is the superior streaming option, despite coming off the bench.

Sochan is dealing with back spasms, hence the Spurs’ decision to make him inactive for Tuesday’s game. His absence leaves the center responsibilities to Bismack Biyombo and Sandro Mamukelashvili. While the former offers a bit more from a rebounding standpoint, Mamukelashvili possesses a higher offensive ceiling.

While Bismack Biyombo is available for Saturday’s game, he’s been moved to the bench for matchup reasons. A more athletic defender, Sochan will start opposite Kristaps Porzingis, and the lineup change raises his fantasy ceiling. Biyombo can still offer rebounds and blocks as a reserve, but this is not a great matchup.

Sochan has started the last two games for San Antonio as part of a smaller starting lineup, and that has led to two wins for the Spurs. Sochan has scored in double figure in six consecutive games, but his 23 points on Friday were a new season-high for him. Though the Spurs’ playoff hops went down the drain when Victor Wembanyama was ruled out for the rest of the season, they have won four of their last six games and sit just three games out of the postseason picture. Sochan should continue to produce at a high level as long as he is starting.
