With John Collins (groin) and Ivica Zubac (ankle) ruled out, the Clippers will feature an unusual starting lineup against the Wizards. Yanic Konan Niederhauser, Jordan Miller and Nicolas Batum figure to play key roles off the bench for Los Angeles on Wednesday, as the team looks to win its fourth straight game.

With James Harden (shoulder) sidelined, Sanders got the starting nod for the fourth time during his rookie season. He was solid as a starter previously, but this was his best performance of the year. Sanders may have earned extra minutes with this performance, but he won’t be worth rostering unless he gets the opportunity to start in the future. If Harden remains out against the Knicks on Wednesday, Sanders will have intriguing upside as a streamer.

Sanders started three times in November and will now return to the starting lineup with James Harden (shoulder) sidelined. Sanders averaged 11.3 points per game across those starts and has streaming appeal in deep formats.

Sanders made his first professional start on Monday and delivered solid offensive production. He shot just under 50 percent from the field and notched season-highs in points and three-pointers. While the production outside of those categories was lackluster, Sanders logged 30 minutes. With Cam Christie (two points and one blocked shot) playing 12 minutes and Kobe Brown picking up a DNP-CD, that may bode well for Sanders in the short term. He still isn’t worth adding in most leagues, but place the rookie on your watchlists.

The Clippers will be without Jones for at least six weeks after he suffered a Grade 2 MCL sprain during Sunday’s loss to the Celtics. Sanders, a second-round pick out of Nevada who has averaged 13.8 minutes in five appearances, will fill the void on Monday. Given the rookie’s limited production thus far, fantasy managers will be better off adding Sanders to their watchlists instead of going “all in” immediately. Last week, Lue mentioned Sanders, Jordan Miller (who’s currently out with a hamstring injury), Cam Christie and Kobe Brown as players who would play more, so there will be competition for those minutes.

The Clippers are 3-8 and just lost Bradley Beal for the season, so it makes sense that they might start to look to get younger players more minutes. Jordan Miller played 26 minutes in his first game of the season, so he seems set to take on the biggest role. Cam Christie is averaging just 11 minutes per game, Kobe Sanders is averaging 3.7 minutes, and Kobe Brown is averaging 2.1 minutes, so seeing “more playing time” might still not be enough to move the needle for fantasy leagues.

Sanders, selected with the 50th overall pick in June’s draft, reportedly injured his knee over the weekend. The hope is that he’ll be able to return sometime in December. As a two-way contract player, Sanders’ absence will not impact fantasy basketball.

Sanders has only played nine minutes this season, while Miller hasn’t been healthy enough to suit up. They’ll both miss another game, but that won’t have an impact on the Clippers’ rotation.
