Sharpe, who has been battling calf soreness since late October, came up just shy of notching a double-double in this one and could’ve had an even better scoring night had he not gone a ghastly 1-of-8 from downtown. The 22-year-old scorer is shooting just 38 percent from three-point range on a career-high seven attempts per-game this season. It’s only a nine-game sample, so we’re anticipating some regression here since he shot nearly 45 percent from long range last season.

Sharpe was initially listed as probable, so his availability doesn’t come as a surprise. He only played 23 minutes in Wednesday’s game and has played fewer than 30 minutes in five straight games. Expect Sharpe to see a similar workload against the Heat.

While Sharpe has been dealing with a sore left calf for nearly a week, he’s yet to miss a game. The probable tag suggests he’ll be available on Wednesday and will take on his usual role within the starting lineup. Sharpe is coming off one of his most efficient games this season, shooting 8-of-17 from the field and scoring 23 points in Monday’s loss to the Lakers.

Despite dealing with calf soreness entering this game, Sharpe was able to start and set a new season-high for scoring. It has been a slow start to the year for Sharpe, but he is starting to figure things out; after shooting below 40 percent in each of his first four games, Sharpe has shot better than 40 percent in his last three. He’ll look to keep it going against the Thunder on Wednesday.

Sharpe was initially probable for Monday’s game, so the status upgrade was expected. However, the sore left calf limited him to 24 minutes in Friday’s win over Denver, so his workload may be somewhat limited despite starting. Jrue Holiday, Toumani Camara, Deni Avdija and Donovan Clingan complete the Trail Blazers’ starting five.

Sharpe has been dealing with a sore left calf recently, which limited him to 24 minutes in Friday’s win over the Nuggets. While the probable tag suggests he’ll be available, Sharpe may not take on his usual workload. Kris Murray’s playing time has increased; he played 29 minutes against Denver. Murray isn’t a must-stream, but he’s worth watching if Sharpe aggravates his calf injury.

Sharpe is still looking for his first 20-point game of the season, but he probably had his best game of the year so far against the Nuggets on Friday. The 22-year-old shooting guard had 19 points on 14 shots including three made three-pointers. Sharpe played just 24 minutes as he was still dealing with a calf injury.

Sharpe was initially probable for Friday’s game, with a sore left calf limiting him to 24 minutes in Wednesday’s win over the Jazz. He’ll be in the starting lineup, looking to get going after a slow start to the season.

Sharpe is dealing with a sore left calf, only playing 24 minutes in Wednesday’s win over the Jazz. But the probable tag suggests he’s closer to playing on Friday than not. If he cannot play, that may open the door for Jerami Grant to move into the starting lineup. While Grant has been a starter in recent seasons, the move to the bench has increased his fantasy value substantially.

While Sharpe scored 18 points on Wednesday, the overall line was disappointing. For the first time in five games, he failed to record an assist, steal or blocked shot. Outside of points and three-pointers, there was no value to be had regarding fantasy basketball. The good news is that this hasn’t been the norm for Sharpe; it would be unsurprising if he bounced back on Friday against the Nuggets.

Sharpe is still looking for his first game with at least 20 points on the season. The 22-year-old shooting guard is taking nearly 20 shots per game, but his scoring needs to pick up for that to continue. Sharpe shot 45 percent from the field and 31 percent from behind the three-point line last year. His scoring should pick up as his percentages normalize this year.

While Sharpe didn’t have the best shooting night against the Timberwolves on Wednesday, fantasy managers still have to be encouraged by his outing. The 22-year-old shooting guard led the team with 20 field goal attempts. Last year he averaged 15.3 field goal attempts per game. Sharpe will have better shooting nights and fantasy managers can expect the increased usage to stick given the investment the Trail Blazers made in him by signing him to an extension this past offseason.

This was expected to be a tough decision for Billups, but this lineup will be optimal for fantasy managers this season. Jerami Grant will come off the bench for the first time as a Trail Blazer and for the first time since the 2019-20 season. This should be the starting five for Portland for much of this season as they look to return to the postseason.

Toumani Camara inked a four-year, $82 million extension earlier in the day, and Sharpe’s new deal came shortly thereafter. With the pair of extensions, Portland locks in part of its young core as the team looks to move past a rebuild and into playoff contention. Sharpe is a player who has garnered some preseason hype due to his work in training camp and preseason play, and fantasy managers should consider him a top-100 player who could be worth a mid-round dice roll on upside.

Sharpe didn’t have his best night shooting the basketball, as he was 2-of-9 from beyond the arc. However, the athletic wing’s ability to attack the defense off the dribble led to him attempting seven free throws, boosting the points tally. While he hasn’t returned the best fantasy value as a pro, Sharpe is a player many believe can break out this season. And this has to be a big year for the Trail Blazers’ wing if he’s to get the contract extension he desires, and if the team is to make a run at a play-in tournament slot or playoff berth.

Sharpe led the Trail Blazers in points with 18 and shot attempts with 16. While Portland had five other players in double figures, Sharpe looks poised to establish himself as the primary scoring option for the Trail Blazers this year. That makes the 22-year-old shooting guard an excellent pick in the middle rounds of fantasy drafts.

Sharpe has lived up to his surname during the preseason, shooting 15-of-29 from the field in Portland’s two exhibitions. That’s good news for the Trail Blazers, as the fourth-year wing is entering a pivotal season for his NBA career. Portland has until October 20 to work out a rookie extension with Sharpe, or he’ll be a restricted free agent next summer. Given how he’s played during the preseason, betting on Sharpe to come through in a contract year would not be a bad idea.

Sharpe’s Wednesday night ended with just over four minutes remaining in the third quarter, and he looked terrific. Living up to his surname, the Trail Blazers wing shot 66.7 percent from the field and offered value in the rebound and three-point categories. Along with Scoot Henderson, who’s currently injured, Sharpe will be expected to take a significant step forward for the Blazers this season. While he’s never been the best fantasy option, this will be the season when it’s worth rolling the dice on Sharpe.

Sharpe managers in category leagues who were on the verge of losing field-goal percentage going into Sunday were done no favors, as he shot 5-of-17 from the field. However, the overall line was solid, with the Blazers’ wing recording his second double-double in four games and third of the season. Over the past two weeks, Sharpe has been a top-75 player in eight- and nine-cat formats. For those whose leagues will be active during Week 23, Portland plays three games, starting with Utah on Wednesday.

While Sharpe could not extend his streak of 30-point games to three, he has scored at least 17 in nine straight. The issue on Friday was his inefficiency, as he shot 7-of-23 from the field. By comparison, Sharpe shot 49.3 percent from the field in the first eight games of this run. Over the past three weeks, he has provided sixth-round value in eight- and nine-cat formats, taking advantage of the Trail Blazers being shorthanded on the wings.

Sharpe is ending the season on a high note. He’ll be 22 in May, and he clearly still has loads of untapped potential. This was his sixth time scoring at least 20 points in his last seven appearances, and it ended up being his second-straight game with at least 30 points. He tied his career-high for scoring, which he set back in February. Sharpe has started in place of the injured Jerami Grant, but it would be a surprise if he wasn’t a full-time starter next season.

For the fifth time in his career, Sharpe was able to score 30 points in a game, with four of those coming this season. This also ended up being the third double-double of his career. The 21-year-old has shown plenty of flashes through his first three seasons in the league, and he has really taken advantage of this recent stretch with Jerami Grant (knee) out of the lineup, which has allowed Sharpe to start. Grant hasn’t played a game in April since 2021, and that is unlikely to change this season, which means Sharpe’s spot should be safe for the rest of the season.

Sharpe has scored 22 points or more in four of his last five appearances, continuing to produce as Jerami Grant’s replacement in the starting lineup. While the third-year wing has been a more valuable asset in points leagues, he has offered top-100 value in eight-cat formats over the past two weeks. Rostered in 54 percent of Yahoo! leagues, Sharpe is worth adding in 12-team leagues where he’s available ahead of Portland’s four-game Week 22, which starts on Tuesday in Atlanta.

Sharpe continues to start with Jerami Grant (knee) still sidelined. Hopefully you aren’t holding out hope that Grant is going to return this season. Sharpe has taken advantage of the opportunity and has scored at least 20 points in three of his last four appearances. The rebounding numbers have been decent, but he struggles to provide value in multiple categories, which limits his value outside of points formats. Still, this development is important for a player with loads of upside that will turn 22 in at the end of May. Dynasty managers still have reason for optimism.

Sharpe has scored 20 points or more in consecutive games for the first time since March 3-5. Jerami Grant’s continued absence with a knee injury has opened up a space in the starting lineup and additional scoring opportunities for Sharpe, and he’s taken advantage. Over the past month, he has provided ninth-round value in eight-cat formats, sitting just outside the top 100. While Sharpe may not be an excellent option for category leagues, the opportunity has made him worth the risk, regardless of format.

Sharpe continued to start with Jerami Grant (knee) out. The 21-year-old shooting guard has had better games, but with Anfernee Simons (illness) also out, he was counted on to take a lot of shots Friday. Sharpe managed to get to 23 points on volume as he hoisted 22 shots against the Nuggets. He’ll continue to have fantasy value as long as Grant’s injury continues to linger.

Sharpe got another start with Jerami Grant out with a knee injury. The 21-year-old shooting guard didn’t reach the 20-point scoring plateau, but otherwise had a great night with 17 points, seven rebounds and five assists. Sharpe still had three made 3-pointers on the offensive end. He continues to be a solid fantasy option when inserted into the starting lineup.

After scoring 21 points on 7-of-21 shooting in losses to the Pistons and Warriors, Sharpe was better against the Knicks. Over the past two weeks, he has made 46.7 percent of his attempts from the field. However, improved rebound and assist production have been difference-makers for Sharpe recently. He’s averaging 6.3 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game, which is why he’s been a 10th-round player in eight-cat formats over the past two weeks. And with Jerami Grant’s inconsistent availability, Sharpe should continue to log starters’ minutes during the stretch run.
