With Paolo Banchero (groin) sidelined, da Silva slid into the starting unit and took full advantage of the opportunity. He played 32 minutes and had his best offensive performance of the season, which included a clutch triple with less than two minutes left to get Orlando within a point. It’s unclear how long Banchero will be sidelined, but if he remains out, da Silva should be worth streaming. He’s currently available in 96 percent of Yahoo! leagues.

With Paolo Banchero (groin) sidelined, da Silva will slide into the starting unit in his place. da Silva has been a solid reserve this season, but his fantasy upside is limited. The absence of Banchero should open up plenty of shots for everyone in the starting unit.

There weren’t a ton of bright spots in this one for Orlando, but da Silva came off the bench to inject some much-needed life, knocking down four of five shots from downtown. The Magic continue to be one of the worst three-point shooting teams in the league, which gives da Silva a chance to carve out a larger role moving forward. He’s scored in double figures five times in eight games to open the season.

Da Silva has reached double figures in four of Orlando’s first six games, with Thursday’s output being his best. The second-year wing is in a challenging spot to provide consistent fantasy value, as he backs up Franz Wagner, but he can be helpful in certain matchups. Da Silva played well against the Hornets, and Saturday’s game against the Wizards could be another spot where he offers sneaky deep-league value.

Through the first two games of the year, da Silva has been a strong reserve scoring option for Orlando. He had 16 points and three triples in the season opener, and he was able to contribute some dimes and swipes in this game on top of the buckets that he was still able to provide. With a matchup against Chicago up next, da Silva will look to continue contributing in a reserve role.

After scoring seven points or less in each of Germany’s first three games at EuroBasket, da Silva got hot against an overmatched Great Britain squad on Monday. The Orlando Magic wing shot 5-of-7 from beyond the arc and was perfect from two, leading the way offensively with Dennis Schröder (19/2/5/1 with two three-pointers) and Franz Wagner (18/1/10/1 with three three-pointers) also hitting double figures. Da Silva may get most of his scoring opportunities as a catch-and-shoot option in Orlando next season, so the three-point shooting is noteworthy, especially after he shot 33.5 percent from deep as a rookie.

Da Silva was once again among Orlando’s offensive leaders on Sunday, and he threw in some defensive stats for good measure. The lone negative was the turnover count, as the second-year forward was responsible for six on the night. Of course, the starring role the Magic are asking da Silva to take in Las Vegas is not in line with what he’ll be asked to do once the games truly count. That said, the increased responsibility may benefit his long-term development as the Magic look to contend in the East.

With Franz Wagner and Paolo Banchero missing extended periods last season due to injury, da Silva took on a larger role than many anticipated before the 2024-25 season. He was solid as a rookie, eventually doing enough to merit being streamed while the Magic awaited the return of their star forwards. Da Silva got his summer off to a good start on Thursday, shooting over 50 percent from the field and providing solid value in rebounds and assists. While unlikely to be a must-draft player in standard leagues, da Silva should again be a fixture in the Magic rotation after averaging 22.0 minutes per game as a rookie.

Da Silva replaced Kentavious Caldwell-Pope in the starting lineup on Friday, and the rookie provided limited production in his 22 minutes on the court. While he had his moments earlier this season, that was when the Magic were without Franz Wagner or Paolo Banchero (or both). With both on the floor, da Silva’s offensive opportunities were limited.
