Thybulle was listed as probable and has now officially been cleared to suit up. He has played a reserve role recently, which has led to plenty of defensive production over the past couple of weeks.

Thybulle sprained his right ankle during the first half of Friday’s win over the Clippers but returned after halftime. The probable tag suggests that he’ll be cleared to play in a game that the Trail Blazers need to win to secure the No. 8 seed in the West. A loss combined with a Clippers win over the Warriors would drop Portland to the No. 9 seed.

Thybulle tweaked something in his right foot before limping to the locker room in the first half. The Trail Blazers called him questionable to return at halftime, but now Thybulle is available to return. The 29-year-old small forward had three steals and two blocks in nine first half minutes.

Thybulle was everywhere on defense with three steals and two blocks in nine minutes off the bench in the first half, but tweaked something in his right foot and came up limping. At halftime, he was deemed questionable to return by the Trail Blazers. His absence doesn’t significantly impact Portland’s rotation.

Injuries took Thybulle off the board for most fantasy managers even before this season began. But Thursday showed what he’s capable of when allowed to take on a more prominent role. With the Pelicans going small for significant stretches, Thybulle played 31 minutes while starting center Donovan Clingan (4/9/2/1) played 22 due to foul trouble. A disappointing end to Week 23 for Clingan was a positive one for Thybulle, who finished a blocked shot shy of a complete stat line.

Thybulle is will take the floor for the first time since October 29 when he exited Portland’s win over Utah with a thumb injury. Nearly four months later, the veteran forward will make his fifth appearance of the season. He’ll return to a crowded Trail Blazers rotation on Friday without a clear role, which should not impact fantasy basketball.

Due to thumb and knee injuries, Thybulle has not been available for a game since October 29. However, the veteran wing could be available for Friday’s game against the Nuggets after fully participating in Thursday’s practice. While fantasy managers should not expect much from Thybulle, his defensive ability could make him worth a look in deep category leagues once he’s playing without any restrictions.

Thybulle has able to do some shooting and ball handling work, but it appears that he isn’t that close to a return. He was set to be re-evaluated in four-to-six weeks after injuring his thumb in the season opener, but even when he returns, he won’t make a significant impact on the rotation.

Thybulle injured his left thumb during Wednesday’s win over the Jazz. Further examination revealed a torn UCL, prompting Friday’s surgery. While he does not significantly impact fantasy basketball, Thybulle’s absence may result in a few more minutes for Kris Murray and Rayan Rupert. Neither is worth adding in redraft leagues.

Thybulle sprained his left thumb during the first half of Wednesday’s win over the Jazz, exiting after five minutes and not returning. His absence won’t significantly impact fantasy basketball, but the Trail Blazers may call on Rayan Rupert for rotation minutes off the bench if Kris Murray (illness) remains out. Murray is questionable for Friday after not playing against Utah.

Thybulle played just five minutes before exiting with a left thumb injury, finishing with three points, one assist, two steals and one three-pointer. His absence won’t significantly impact fantasy basketball, but the Trail Blazers will finish Wednesday’s game down two wings, as Kris Murray (illness) is also unavailable.

Thybulle is available to play on Wednesday after being initially listed as questionable. He’ll play rotation minutes off the bench but is unlikely to get the time needed to impact fantasy basketball. Leave Thybulle on the waiver wire.

Thybulle will miss a second straight game with a sore right hip. During Monday’s win over the Lakers, fellow reserve Kris Murray played 24 minutes off the bench. That isn’t enough to make Murray a player worth rostering in fantasy leagues, but he’ll have a legitimate chance to play rotation minutes. That hasn’t been the case for most of his NBA career.

Thybulle has been downgraded to out ahead of Monday’s matchup. The defensive specialist logged 15 minutes on Sunday against the Clippers, scoring five points and collecting three steals. Fourth-year guard Blake Wesley, also a strong defensive guard, may see more minutes against the Lakers with Thybulle on the shelf.

Thybulle has been available to play a reserve role in each of Portland’s first three games. However, there is a chance he is sidelined against Los Angeles. Blake Wesley and Kris Murray would likely see a few extra minutes in that scenario, though that won’t make either worthy of streaming consideration.

Thybulle fully participated in recent practices and will be available for Wednesday’s season opener. How much he’ll play is unknown, but the defensive-minded wing can record a few steals and blocks. Unless you’re in dire need of defensive value in a deep fantasy league, there isn’t much to gain from rostering Thybulle.

Thybulle practiced on Monday, and now he is expected to be available against Minnesota in the season opener. However, the defensive specialist won’t play enough minutes to be worth roster for Portland this season.

Thybulle is in the final year of a three-year, $33 million deal he signed with Portland in 2023, and he’ll be back for at least one more season. The French forward is a three-and-D specialist who holds much more value on the basketball court than he does in fantasy lineups. He can be left on the waiver wire in 2025-26 fantasy drafts.

The Trail Blazers are without Toumani Camara, who has an ankle injury. An equally elite defender replaces him as Thybulle moves into the lineup. Thybulle may not hit 30 minutes, but the opportunity to start makes him worth a look in deep leagues.

Known primarily for his defensive ability, Thybulle caught fire from deep on Tuesday. He shot 5-of-6 from three in his 15 minutes on the court, scoring a season-high 15 points. Thybulle has recorded at least one steal in his six appearances this season. Due to the minutes limit, he hasn’t reached the point where he should be rostered in fantasy leagues. That said, a good finish to this season may make Thybulle a draftable player in deep leagues for the 2025-26 campaign.

Thybulle, who struggled with knee and ankle injuries, made his season debut on Sunday. While he only played six minutes, the Trail Blazers wing didn’t take long to show why he can be valuable to fantasy managers. Thybulle recorded two steals during his first stint on the court, and his block of an Orlando Robinson three-point attempt in the final seconds preserved the victory. There’s no need to consider adding Thybulle due to the playing time, but seeing him on the court was good. Portland begins a four-game Week 20 against the Wizards on Monday; don’t expect to see Thybulle in uniform.

Thybulle was available to make his season debut on Wednesday after missing time with an ankle injury but did not see any action. Blazers coach Chauncey Billups stuck with a nine-man rotation, with Kris Murray (three points, two rebounds and four steals) playing 15 minutes off the bench. Even if Thybulle enters the rotation, he’s unlikely to impact fantasy basketball this season.

Thybulle hasn’t been available to suit up for a game yet this season, but there is a chance he makes his debut against New York. It has been almost a full calendar year since Thybulle played, so he will likely be on a strict minutes restriction for the rest of this season. It will be great to see him back on the floor, but he isn’t a player to consider rostering in fantasy basketball.
