Vincent has missed the Lakers’ last nine games with a lumbar back strain. With LeBron James (foot) out, there will be a need for more offense from the available players. However, Vincent will not exceed 18 minutes in his first game back, so there’s no need to stream him.

Tuesday’s game is the ninth that Vincent will miss as he continues to work his way back from a lumbar back strain. With Austin Rivers also out, the Lakers have turned to Nick Smith Jr. to play rotation minutes off the bench. During his pregame availability, Lakers head coach JJ Redick said that he expects Vincent to be available for Wednesday’s game against the Spurs.

Vincent was listed as questionable on Monday, but he’s now expected to miss a ninth straight contest. In his absence, Nick Smith Jr. could continue to see additional playing time off the Lakers’ bench.

Vincent has missed the last eight games for the Lakers but could return against New Orleans. His absence has allowed Nick Smith Jr. to play more, though when Vincent returns, Smith will likely lose out on minutes.

Vincent has not appeared in a game since December 14. While his continued absence does not affect fantasy basketball, it would help the Lakers to have him available since Austin Reaves (calf) is out.

While Austin Reaves’ absence with a strained calf has freed up additional minutes on the perimeter, Vincent has benefited in terms of fantasy value. Fantasy managers can afford to leave him on the waiver wire if he’s available on Thursday.

With Luka Dončić (personal) still sidelined, Vincent remained in the starting lineup for one more game. He was much better in this one and ended up scoring in double figures for the first time this season. Lakers coach JJ Redick said before the game that Luka should be back soon, and Sunday’s game against the 76ers is a possibility. If he returns, Vincent will head to playing a reserve role, but even if he gets another start, he can’t be relied on to repeat this performance.

The Lakers won’t have Luka Dončić for Thursday’s game, as he is away from the team for personal reasons. Vincent slides into the starting lineup, and while he offers limited streaming value, he’s worth a look for Thursday’s five-game slate. Dončić’s absence will also mean increased usage for LeBron, who struggled to keep his double-digit points streak alive in Monday’s loss to the Suns.

With LeBron James sitting out the first leg of this back-to-back, Vincent will replace him in the starting unit. This is a smaller lineup for the Lakers, but Vincent should be able to supply some triples as a starter.

LeBron James isn’t the only injured Laker who could be back on the court Tuesday night. Vincent is also considered questionable, but his availability is not as impactful on fantasy basketball. There’s no need to roster Vincent in most leagues, especially with Luka Dončić, Austin Reaves and Marcus Smart available.

Vincent is expected to be back in mid-to-late November, and he had been starting. Marcus Smart (quad) started alongside Gabe Vincent on Sunday, but both were sidelined on Monday, which allowed Jake LaRavia and Jarred Vanderbilt to start in their place. Two of the three will continue to start until Luka Doncic (finger) returns to the lineup.

Vincent rolled his left ankle while attempting to challenge a layup attempt during the third quarter, exiting with just over eight minutes remaining in the period. While X-rays on the ankle were negative, Vincent wore a walking boot following the game. With the Lakers hosting the Trail Blazers on Monday, it feels safe to assume he won’t be available. Jake LaRavia (11/6/5/1 with two three-pointers), who played 33 minutes off the bench, may be the player most likely to move into the starting lineup. Dalton Knecht (two points, two rebounds and one block in 13 minutes) is another possibility, but LaRavia would be the player to stream in this spot.

Starting for the injured LeBron James in Tuesday’s season opener, Vincent could not get going against the Warriors. In addition to only attempting four shots, he did not prove valuable in any fantasy category. While Vincent still played 29 minutes, Marcus Smart played 23 off the bench and finished with nine points (3-of-6 FGs, 3-of-4 FTs) and one steal. James isn’t expected back until some point in November, so players like Vincent, Smart and Jake LaRavia (five points, three rebounds and one three-pointer in 16 minutes) will need to pick up the slack. None are great fantasy managers currently, but the situation makes them worth watching.

With LeBron James (sciatica) sidelined for at least four weeks, the Lakers have a massive hole to fill in their starting lineup ahead of the regular season. Vincent will fill the void, as Lakers head coach JJ Redick said before Friday’s game that the starters will also start Tuesday’s season opener. Against the Kings, he shot 4-of-5 from beyond the arc, providing shooting on a night when Austin Reaves (8/4/8/2) missed all seven of his three-point attempts and shot 3-of-15 from the field overall. Vincent is unlikely to provide much value outside of points and three-pointers if allowed to start. But he may be able to offer end-of-week value to managers needing production in those categories.

Donĉić, Reaves and Ayton are back in the Lakers’ starting lineup after sitting out Wednesday’s loss to the Mavericks. While Hachimura is an expected starter once the regular season begins, that isn’t necessarily the case for Vincent. However, he’s played well as the preseason has progressed, potentially giving him a chance to earn the right to fill the void left by the injured LeBron James. Jarred Vanderbilt, who did not play on Wednesday, is back and will come off the bench. He’s another option to step into the starting five when the Lakers host the Warriors on Tuesday.

Vincent got the starting nod on the second night of a preseason back-to-back, since Luka Doncic and Austin Reaves got the night off. Vincent started off hot, scoring 18 points in the first quarter alone. He didn’t add much after that, but it was a strong performance for him. However, he won’t get the chance to play enough to replicate this level of production often.

Vincent is questionable for Sunday’s game, which will not impact the Lakers’ playoff seeding. With Luka Doncic and Austin Reaves already out, Gabe could have the ultimate “green light” if he can play. However, he’s struggled with knee issues since joining the Lakers, so getting him additional rest before the postseason may be the team’s priority.

After starting on Thursday, Vincent will be pushed out of the starting unit against Chicago, whether he suits up or not. The Lakers will have their typical starters back are expected to have LeBron James and Rui Hachimura return from extended absences as well. If Vincent misses the game, Dalton Knecht should see extra minutes off the bench.

Both players missed Friday’s game against Denver, but after initially being listed as questionable to play against Phoenix, they have been upgraded to probable. Jordan Goodwin and Jarred Vanderbilt both took on larger roles on Friday but will likely lose out on minutes with Vincent and DFS expected to be back in the rotation.

On Tuesday, Vincent was inserted into the starting lineup, as LeBron James was unavailable with a strained groin. He performed well in Brooklyn, making his first five shots and finishing with a season-high 24 points. While fantasy managers should not expect Vincent to consistently have nights like Tuesday, James’ absence will free up opportunities for Gabe to produce offensively. He’s only rostered in one percent of Yahoo! leagues, but the Lakers won’t play again until Thursday in Milwaukee.

With Austin Reaves (calf) out of the lineup, Vincent started alongside Luka Doncic on Sunday. He didn’t have the best night shooting the basketball, but Vincent did make three three-pointers and record a complete stat line. While Dalton Knecht offers a higher ceiling with Reaves sidelined, Vincent has the “security” of being a starter. That said, Sunday’s performance wasn’t good enough to make him a player worth adding.

Reaves injured his calf during Friday’s win over the Clippers and will miss at least one game. As a result, Vincent moves into the starting lineup, but he offers limited streaming value playing alongside Luka Doncic and LeBron James. Joining those three in the starting five are Dorian Finney-Smith and Jaxson Hayes.

After playing nine minutes on Friday, a sore right calf hastened Austin Reaves’ exit, and Vincent started the third quarter. He didn’t provide much scoring, but the assists and steals are notable. Vincent has recorded at least one steal in four straight games, and the four pilfers on Friday were a season-high. He won’t be a must-stream player if Reaves misses time, but there’s the potential for Vincent to provide modest value in the steals category in extremely deep leagues if he’s forced to start.
