Derrick White accounted for 21 points (7-of-18 FGs, 4-of-6 FTs), three rebounds, four assists, three steals and three three-pointers in Sunday’s win over the Magic.
Regardless of how many points he scores, White consistently provides fantasy managers with excellent value. Sunday was his first game with at least 20 points since Boston’s season opener against the 76ers, and he also provided solid value in assists, steals and three-pointers. White is providing top-50 value in nine-cat formats, and history suggests he’s capable of being even better as the season progresses. Boston plays three games during Week 4, but only one will be played after Wednesday.

Derrick White finished Friday’s loss to the Magic with 16 points (7-of-16 FGs, 1-of-1 FTs), two rebounds, 10 assists, two steals, one block and one three-pointer.
White was one of three Celtics starters to score at least 16 points, and his 10 assists were a season-high for the guard. Unsurprisingly, he continues to provide excellent fantasy value, ranking within the top-50 in nine-cat formats. The hope for fantasy managers is that White can pick up the scoring, as he has not recorded a 20-point game since the season-opening loss to the 76ers.

Derrick White (neck) and Payton Pritchard (ankle) are available for Saturday’s game against the Rockets.
White and Pritchard were initially probable for Saturday’s game, the Celtics’ second in as many nights. They’ll occupy their usual places in the starting lineup without restriction.

Derrick White shot 5-of-20 from the field and 6-of-6 from the foul line in Wednesday’s win over the Cavaliers, scoring 19 points with five rebounds, four assists, one steal and three three-pointers.
White struggled with his shot on Wednesday. He made just two of his eight two-point attempts and was 3-of-12 from three. The good news for fantasy managers is that White was perfect at the charity stripe while providing decent value in the rebound and assist categories. Given how well he’s performed in recent years, fantasy managers should consider Wednesday’s performance to be a blip on the radar for White. He’ll look to bounce back when the Celtics visit the 76ers on Friday.

Derrick White (wrist) is available for Sunday’s game against the Pistons.
Initially probable for Sunday’s matchup, White’s status has been upgraded to available. He’ll take on his usual role as one of Boston’s top offensive options, and White will likely spend most of his afternoon on defense guarding Cade Cunningham. With Jaylen Brown (hamstring) still questionable, the Celtics may need even more offensive production from White.

Derrick White (wrist) is probable to play against the Pistons on Sunday.
White pops up on the injury report with a sprain in his shooting wrist, but it isn’t expected to impact his availability on Sunday. It’s worth monitoring over the next few games, but there’s no reason to take him out of your lineup against Detroit.

Derrick White had 15 points (5-of-18 FGs, 2-of-3 FTs), four rebounds, four assists, one steal, one block and three three-pointers against the Knicks on Friday.
After dropping 25 points and sinking four three-pointers in the first game of the season, it wasn’t as easy for White in the second game. White was 3-of-11 from behind the three-point line on his way to a 5-of-18 performance from the field and 15 points. Without Jayson Tatum, Al Horford and Jrue Holiday from last year’s Celtics, they need more consistent scoring from White.

Derrick White had 25 points (7-of-20 FGs, 7-of-7 FTs), three rebounds, four assists, one steal, one block and four three-pointers against the 76ers on Wednesday.
White actually led the Celtics in shot attempts with 20 in the first regular season game since Jayson Tatum tore his Achilles in the playoffs last year. The 31-year-old shooting guard tied for the Celtics’ lead in points with 25, but he had an off shooting night from behind the three-point line going 4-of-13. It’s clear that major opportunity is there for White this year and he’ll have better nights with his efficiency in the future.

Derrick White led the Celtics with 33 points (10-of-23 FGs), nine rebounds, six assists, four blocks and six three-pointers in a 110-108 win over the Raptors on Wednesday.
Payton Pritchard struggled and Jaylen Brown (hamstring) exited early, but White stepped up in a big way. White didn’t play the entire game, since it was just an exhibition, but he certainly left his mark. Especially if Brown ends up missing time, White will have a chance to have the best season of his career and dominate in fantasy basketball. Even if the Celtics aren’t able to win as much as they typically have in recent years, White can still help managers win fantasy championships.

Derrick White tallied 16 points (7-of-16 FGs), three rebounds, 10 assists, one steal, two blocks and two three-pointers in Wednesday’s win over the Grizzlies.
Among the players the Celtics bid farewell to this offseason was Jrue Holiday, whose departure means White’s role should expand in 2025-26. Add in Jayson Tatum’s absence, and this could be a massive season for a player whose game has long been “fantasy-friendly.” White accumulated 10 assists on Wednesday, a number he’s met or exceeded 14 times in the last three seasons. As of October 8, White boasted a Yahoo! ADP of 38.1; don’t be surprised if he’s off the board by the end of the third round in some 12-team leagues.

Derrick White amassed eight points (3-of-11 FGs), one rebound, two assists, one steal and two three-pointers in 30 minutes in Friday’s Game 6 loss to the Knicks.
After going off for 34 points in a valiant Game 5 performance on Wednesday, White could not find his groove on Friday. He shot 2-of-8 from beyond the arc and provided limited value as a playmaker in Boston’s season finale. After a surprisingly elite fantasy season in the Celtics’ run to the championship last season, White was a top-50 player in 2024-25. That aligned with his Yahoo! ADP (48), which may be a bit higher next season due to Jayson Tatum’s ruptured Achilles tendon.

Derrick White led the Celtics with 34 points (9-of-16 FGs, 9-of-11 FTs), three rebounds, two assists, three blocks and seven three-pointers in a 127-102 win over the Knicks in Game 5 on Wednesday.
In the wake of Jayson Tatum’s Achilles tear, Boston needed someone to step up on the offensive end. White filled the void with his highest-scoring performance of the postseason and his most points in a game since early March. White struggled in the first two games of this series but has made at least 50 percent of his shots in each of his last three games. He has been able to fill whatever role the Celtics have needed him to fill since he was traded to Boston, and he should continue to be a primary scoring option for them as they head to New York for Game 6.

Derrick White had 23 points (6-of-12 FGs), three rebounds, two assists and six three-pointers against the Knicks in Game 4 on Monday.
White was the only consistent scorer for Boston outside of Jayson Tatum. The 30-year-old point guard got all of his points on six three-pointers and five free throws. Unfortunately for the Celtics it wasn’t enough as Boston was trailing when Tatum went down with a lower leg injury in the final minutes, essentially taking a comeback off the table. The Celtics will look to stave off elimination with their backs against the wall at home in Game 5 on Wednesday.

Derrick White led the Celtics with 20 points (6-of-17 FGs), nine rebounds, five assists, two blocks and three three-pointers in Game 2 against the Knicks on Wednesday.
White had a strong night overall, though most of his work was done in the first half. He had 14 of his 20 points and all three of his three-pointers in the first half. White has shot a poor percentage through the first two games of this series, but he has been their best threat from beyond the arc. Boston will need White to be at his best in Game 3 on Saturday to avoid going down 0-3 in the series.

Derrick White amassed 19 points (6-of-18 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), 11 rebounds, two assists, two blocks and five three-pointers in 44 minutes in a Game 1 loss to the Knicks on Monday.
While White did lead the Celtics with five three-pointers in Game 1, he needed 16 attempts to hit that number. As a team, the reigning champs shot 15-of-60 from beyond the arc, setting NBA playoff records for most attempts in a game and lowest percentage for a team that attempted at least 50 three-pointers. White recorded a solid overall stat line outside the steals category, but his field-goal percentage took a significant hit. He and the Celtics will look to bounce back in Game 2 on Wednesday.

Derrick White logged 38 minutes in Wednesday’s Game 2 win over the Magic, recording 17 points (6-of-14 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), six rebounds, five assists, one steal and three three-pointers.
While he wasn’t as explosive offensively as he was in Sunday’s Game 1 victory, White performed well as Boston took a 2-0 series lead on Wednesday. The issue for him was three-point shooting, as the Celtics guard was just 3-of-10 on the night. However, White recorded solid rebound and assist numbers and was third on the team in scoring. Backcourt partner Jrue Holiday added 11 points, four rebounds, six assists and one blocked shot as Boston successfully navigated not having Jayson Tatum due to his wrist injury. Game 3 is on Friday in Orlando.

Derrick White shot 10-of-18 from the field and 3-of-3 from the foul line in Sunday’s Game 1 victory over the Magic, scoring 30 points with four rebounds, two assists, one steal, two blocks and seven three-pointers in 36 minutes.
White was one of the Celtics who stepped up to lead the reigning champions to a win in Sunday’s series opener. With Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown and Kristaps Porzingis (5/6/2/4/1 in 26 minutes) combining to score 38 points on 15-of-44 shooting, White came up huge, making at least two shots in all four quarters. He had one 30-point game during last season’s run to the title, Boston’s Game 4 win over the Heat in the first round of the playoffs. Given the strength of Orlando’s wing defenders, this may be a series in which the Celtics’ guards are difference-makers, as was the case in Game 1. Game 2 is on Wednesday night.

Derrick White (neck) and Jrue Holiday (shoulder) are out against the Hornets on Sunday.
There’s nothing on the line for the Celtics on Sunday, as they have already secured the two-seed in the Eastern Conference. White and Holiday will get the day off to rest for the playoffs. Payton Pritchard will figure prominently in the Celtics’ rotation, as should JD Davison and Jordan Walsh. Pritchard is the available Celtic best-equipped to blow up offensively on Sunday.

Derrick White had 19 points (8-of-12 FGs), three rebounds, seven assists, one steal, four blocks and three three-pointers in the Celtics’ 130-94 victory over the Hornets on Friday.
White played 34 minutes as the Celtics blew out the Hornets by 36 points Friday. The 30-year-old point guard had 19 points on 12 shots including three three-pointers. White also dished out seven assists and had a major impact on the defensive end with one steal and four blocks. White is certainly a candidate to miss Sunday’s rematch against the Hornets as it’s the last game of the regular season for the Celtics.

Derrick White (toe) and Jrue Holiday (shoulder) are probable for Tuesday’s game against the Knicks.
Based on the probable tags, White and Holiday are on track to play on Tuesday. Payton Pritchard’s fantasy ceiling would be raised if either sits, even though he’ll likely remain on the bench. Sam Hauser is another Celtics player who would have added value to a rotation lacking White or Holiday.

Derrick White shot 7-of-12 from the field in Sunday’s win over the Wizards, scoring 19 points with one rebound, four assists, one steal and five three-pointers in 26 minutes.
For fantasy managers whose leagues ended with Week 22, White capped an excellent season with another quality effort. However, for those whose leagues run through Week 23, it’s fair to wonder how much they’ll see of the Celtics guard. Boston would need to win out while having Cleveland lose each of its final four games to claim the top seed in the East. If the Celtics make White available for all four games, he’ll continue to provide excellent fantasy value. But the priority will likely be to ensure the team is at full strength heading into the playoffs, even if there’s still a chance to earn the top seed.

Derrick White logged 33 minutes in Friday’s win over the Suns, tallying 12 points (4-of-9 FGs), nine rebounds, seven assists and four three-pointers.
White provided excellent value rebounds, assists and three-pointers as the Celtics took care of the Suns. Over the past two weeks, he has provided top-50 value in eight- and nine-cat formats. The lone concern for fantasy managers who have White rostered is Sunday’s game against the Wizards, as that could be seen as an opportunity to give him a night off. Boston is essentially locked into the two-seed in the East, so resting up for the postseason may be the priority the rest of the way.

Derrick White stuffed the stat sheet on Monday with 14 points (4-of-13 FGs), eight rebounds, 10 assists, two blocks and three three-pointers against the Grizzlies.
Despite a rough shooting night from White, he was able to turn in a well-rounded stat line and nearly record a triple-double. Oddly enough, this was White’s second consecutive game shooting exactly 4-of-13 from the floor and finishing with eight rebounds and three three-pointers. The difference on Monday was that he was able to reach double digit assists for the third time this season. White has had at least six assists in five straight games now, and he’ll look to continue to dish out the dimes against the Heat on Wednesday.

Derrick Brown (knee) and Al Horford (toe) are not on the injury report for Tuesday’s game against the Nets.
White and Horford did not play in Saturday’s win over the Nets, as it was Boston’s second game in as many days. They’ll return to the floor on Tuesday, and both may be in the starting lineup. White has consistently started for the Celtics, while Horford has been the replacement whenever a starter is out. Jaylen Brown (back) will not be available on Tuesday.

Derrick White (knee) and Al Horford (toe) are out for Saturday’s game against the Nets.
White and Horford were initially doubtful for Saturday’s game, so their absences are unsurprising. Horford will be replaced in the lineup by Kristaps Porzingis, who returns after an eight-game absence, but his minutes will be restricted. Expect to see plenty of Luke Kornet. As for White, his absence will likely push Sam Hauser into the lineup, raising his fantasy ceiling.

Derrick White (knee) and Al Horford (toe) are doubtful for Saturday’s game against the Nets.
It’s no surprise that Horford is listed as doubtful after playing 32 minutes on Friday night. Kristaps Porzingis (illness) is listed as probable and will likely replace him in the starting lineup. Payton Pritchard could move into the starting lineup and will certainly have an increased role if White is ruled out.

Derrick White (knee) is questionable to play against the Heat on Friday.
White hasn’t missed a game since January, but he could start falling victim to “rest days” that are listed with actual injuries. It is unlikely that White plays both legs of this back-to-back, but Saturday’s game against the Nets seems like the more likely team for Boston to have him nurse this knee ailment. Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown are also questionable, so there should be plenty of extra minutes for Sam Hauser and Payton Pritchard.

Derrick White had 18 points (6-of-16 FGs), five rebounds, 10 assists, three blocks and three 3-pointers against the Jazz on Monday.
White has had at least six assists in all three games since going off for 41 points against the Trail Blazers on March 5. The 30-year-old point guard was hardly efficient shooting the ball against the Jazz Monday. Still, White was making plays on offensive with 10 assists. He was just five rebounds away from a triple-double. White has provided top-10 fantasy value since the All-Star break.

Derrick White finished with 12 points on 4-of-14 shooting across 24 minutes in Thursday’s win over Philadelphia.
White added six assists and three boards. He sank just 2-of-10 triples after going off for 41 points and knocking down 9-of-17 shots from beyond the arc on Wednesday. He went to the locker room after taking an elbow to the face and losing a tooth early in the fourth quarter, but he returned, so fantasy managers shouldn’t expect him to miss any time. Superstitious Celtics fans may be excited over the dental injury, as White lost a tooth in the decisive Game 5 of last season’s NBA Finals when Boston closed out Dallas to win the championship.
