Williams did not play in Friday’s loss to the Cavaliers, as it was Charlotte’s second game in as many nights. With Miles Bridges serving the final game of his four-game suspension, Williams will likely move into the starting lineup. If so, that would bump Sion James to the bench.

Williams had a strong outing on Thursday as a starter, but he’ll get the night off for rest on the second leg of Charlotte’s back-to-back set. Miles Bridges is still suspended, which should mean increased playing time for Tidjane Salaün. Salaün logged 20 minutes in Thursday’s loss to Houston.

Williams got another start with Miles Bridges still suspended and came through for fantasy managers that needed him as a streamer in deeper formats. The 27-year-old had 20 points, nine boards and made four three-pointers. Williams will be usable in deeper formats for another couple of games before Bridges is back, though this level of production can’t be expected on a nightly basis.

Williams has now scored in double figures three times in his last four games, and he set a new season high for assists. Williams has had some solid games, and after both Moussa Diabate and Miles Bridges were involved in a brawl that led to both players being ejected, Williams could end up spending some time as a starter if they face suspensions. Williams isn’t a high-upside option for fantasy managers, but he can provide a solid boost.

Williams has played a solid role off the bench since making his season debut on Jan. 10, but he hasn’t contributed much in the box score. However, he was able to have his first double-digit scoring outing of the season in this game. Williams isn’t a player to consider rostering in most leagues at this time, and he has never been a strong option in fantasy basketball throughout his career. However, considering he missed 14 months due to a torn ACL, it was good to see him play this well.

Williams missed Thursday’s game, but he will return to take on San Antonio. That was the second night of a back-to-back, so it isn’t surprising that he was out after missing over a year of games. He’ll be back playing a reserve role down low, which hasn’t yielded much fantasy production.

The Hornets have been cautious with Williams as he returns from offseason knee surgery. He’s averaging just under 19 minutes per game over the last two weeks, so his role isn’t a huge one to fill. Charlotte will likely give more minutes to Tidjane Salaun.

After missing Thursday’s game against the Magic with a knee injury, Williams appears ready to go for Saturday’s matchup with the Wizards. The veteran forward has only played in five games thus far after making his season debut on January 10 against the Jazz, and shouldn’t make much of an impact from a fantasy basketball standpoint.

Williams missed the beginning of the season while recovering from ACL surgery and made his season debut on January 10th. As of now, it appears that the Hornets are just resting him in the second game of a back-to-back in order to help him in his continued recovery. Charlotte plays again on Saturday, so we’ll know the extent of Williams’ discomfort by then. Tidjane Salaün (Achilles) was available to play on Wednesday but didn’t see the court, so he may step back into Williams’ minutes on Thursday.

Saturday’s game was the first for Williams since November 2024, and he wasted no time getting up shots. All ten of his shots were three-pointers, of which he made three. Williams played 14 minutes, which Charlotte’s 55-point win may have inflated. There’s no need to add Williams after one game, but the ability to play either power forward or center may ensure him of rotation minutes the rest of the way.

Williams hasn’t played since tearing his ACL in 2024, but he popped up on the injury report as probable ahead of this game. He’s now officially been cleared to suit up, though his minutes will likely be limited in his first game in 14 months.

Inactive since suffering a torn right ACL in November of 2024, Williams is on track to make his season debut on Saturday. Given the time missed, expect the forward’s minutes to be restricted in his first few games back. Williams doesn’t affect fantasy basketball immediately, but his return may result in fewer minutes for Tidjane Salaün.

There were already reports that both players would miss camp, but not having any idea of when they’ll be healthy is pretty typical for the Hornets. Their lack of clarity when it comes to injury reporting in recent years has been a frustration. Hopefully they’ll provide a better timeline soon, but don’t count on it. With Kon Knueppel in the mix now, neither Williams nor Green was likely going to start or be impactful in fantasy basketball anyway.

Williams tore his right ACL last November. While the veteran forward does not have a defined return timeline, it was reported recently that he has been moving well during workouts. With Charlotte trading Mark Williams (Phoenix) and Jusuf Nurkić (Utah) during the offseason, there will be room for a healthy Grant Williams to earn rotation minutes, even with the additions of Ryan Kalkbrenner and Mason Plumlee. However, that may not be enough to make Williams fantasy-relevant in standard leagues.
