The last two nights have been examples of why Ware remains a player many 12-team managers are unwilling to let go. After recording a double-double in 18 minutes in Friday’s win over the Hawks, he dropped another in 19 minutes against the Grizzlies. Ware did not record any blocked shots, but the rebounds and field-goal percentage numbers were excellent. With the Heat rotation close to full strength, Ware appears locked into a reserve role, but he’s still capable of providing value to those needing rebounds.

Ware played 18 minutes off the bench, and while he didn’t have the best night shooting the basketball, the second-year center did record his third double-double in four games. With Tyler Herro (ribs) back in the rotation, Ware may not have as much leeway in terms of the effort he gives when in the game. The upside makes him a player who should still be rostered in 14-team leagues, but managers in 12-team formats may need to evaluate their options via trade — if the deadline hasn’t passed — or the waiver wire.

Ware’s inconsistency has been maddening, as it’s landed him in Erik Spoelstra’s dog house on multiple occasions. However, after a poor showing in Monday’s loss to the Jazz, he got another opportunity to start on Wednesday. Give Ware credit for taking advantage of the opportunity, recording his second double-double in three games. While his season-long value remains high, Ware’s inconsistency lowers his ceiling. Hopefully, he’ll be able to go on a sustained run of good play after the All-Star break.

For the first time since January 6, Adebayo and Ware will start together. The latter had a productive game in Sunday’s win over the Wizards, and Miami will hope that he can build on that, filling the void left by Pelle Larsson. The other change to the lineup is Fontecchio, who starts due to Norman Powell’s absence

Miami rolled on Sunday, and that factored into Ware getting more playing time than he has recently. However, that should not be used to overlook his performance, which was the other reason why the second-year center logged 30 minutes. The double-double was Ware’s first in over a month, and this is the production level the Heat expects from him consistently. He’ll look to start Week 17 on a high note when the Heat host the Jazz on Monday.

One positive of a blowout victory, besides the outcome, is that those late-game minutes can serve as a confidence boost for players whose opportunities may have decreased. After playing three minutes in Saturday’s loss to the Bulls, Ware was able to play 18 minutes in the rematch. Given his inconsistent production and playing time, fantasy managers should not read too much into his Sunday night. Hopefully, it will serve as a catalyst for the second-year center.

Ware is back after a four-game absence, giving the Heat needed depth in the frontcourt. His return will likely lead to fewer minutes for Nikola Jović, who offered solid streaming value while Ware was out.

Ware has been sidelined for Miami’s last four games but could return to the lineup against Orlando. Nikola Jovic has taken on a larger role with Ware out, and he has been a solid streaming option for fantasy managers. He should remain productive if Ware remains out.

Including Thursday’s game against the Trail Blazers, Ware has missed Miami’s last two games with a strained left hamstring. With the 7-footer returning to Miami to undergo further treatment, the expectation is that he will miss at least the remainder of the road trip, which concludes with a Saturday/Sunday back-to-back against the Jazz and Suns. With Ware unavailable, the Heat will have to go small when starting center Bam Adebayo isn’t on the floor, likely resulting in more minutes for Nikola Jović and Simone Fontecchio.

Initially listed to be dealing with tightness in his left hamstring, Ware’s diagnosis has been changed to a strain. Thursday’s game will be the second he’s missed due to the injury, which should give Nikola Jović and Simone Fontecchio a few more minutes. Neither player is worth the streaming risk in most leagues.

Ware did not play in Tuesday’s win over the Kings, with his minutes being distributed among multiple players. What also helped the Heat account for the second-year center’s absence was an improved performance from Bam Adebayo, who shot 1-of-13 from the field in Monday’s loss to the Warriors. While Nikola Jović and Simone Fontecchio may pick up a few additional minutes when Ware sits, neither is worth rostering in most fantasy leagues.

Ware’s hamstring will keep him out of Tuesday’s game, which is the second in as many nights for the Heat. Starter Bam Adebayo may see his playing time increase slightly due to the lack of healthy bigs on the Heat roster.

Ware, whose playing time has decreased recently due to inconsistent play, logged 18 minutes in Monday’s loss to the Warriors. If he’s unable to play, the Heat will likely have to go small in times when Bam Adebayo isn’t on the floor.

Since being moved out of the starting lineup, Ware played 17 minutes or less in five consecutive games before Monday. He logged 18 against the Warriors, but the offensive production was solid. Unfortunately for the Heat, Ware’s performance wasn’t enough to compensate for Bam Adebayo (four points, 12 rebounds and three assists) shooting 1-of-13 from the field. Ware’s potential makes him worth holding onto, especially with Tyler Herro (ribs) out, but managers fighting for their postseason lives may not be able to take that risk.

Ware remains one of this season’s great fantasy wild cards — dominant one night, invisible the next. The 21-year-old center is still very much a work in progress, but he’s been a double-double machine this season, averaging 12.4 points and 10.6 boards through 36 games and grading out as a top-30 overall fantasy performer.

Ware was rejoined in the starting lineup by Bam Adebayo, who was back after a two-game absence. And the second-year center had a good night, shooting 75 percent from the field and finishing one rebound shy of a double-double. Over the past two weeks, Ware has provided first-round per-game value in eight-cat formats. He’ll look to continue the improved production on Thursday against the Pistons.

Added to the Heat injury report because of a right quad contusion, Ware has been upgraded from probable to available. He’ll take on his role as the starting center, continuing to serve as the lone post player while Bam Adebayo remains out with a back injury.

Don’t panic just yet, but Ware is now probable with a right quad contusion. The Heat have already ruled out Bame Adebayo (back) and losing Ware would leave them without a legitimate post presence, though he’s still likely to play.

With Bam Adebayo (back) unavailable, Ware will be the lone post player in the Heat starting lineup. That status may give him a little more leeway, but it also means that Miami can’t afford to have its second-year center sleepwalk through the early segments of games. Ware was productive in Atlanta, recording his fourth double-double in five games. Tuesday’s performance against Toronto was a dud, but Ware still grabbed nine rebounds in 21 minutes. When he’s engaged, as he was against the Hawks, double-doubles should be routine for the 21-year-old center.

While the Heat were unable to leave New York with a victory, Ware’s recent performances are cause for optimism in Miami and among those who have him rostered. The second-year center finished one rebound shy of his first 20/20 game, and he’s recorded three straight 20-point double-doubles. While some may be tempted to sell high on Ware, given his recent run, holding onto him wouldn’t be a bad idea. The Heat play three games in Week 10, starting with the Raptors on Tuesday.

Mitchell and Wiggins are back in the Heat starting lineup after missing Friday’s loss to the Celtics. Their returns push Kasparas Jakučionis and Jaime Jaquez Jr. to the bench, with the former taking a more significant hit to his fantasy value. Ware will continue to start with Tyler Herro out, making him an even more valuable fantasy option.

This was a second straight start for Ware, and while he didn’t match his four-block performance from Thursday’s game, he was able to set a new career-high for triples in the loss. Ware is a dynamic seven-footer, which leads to monster performances for fantasy managers. The downside of Ware is that sometimes he comes off the bench and plays less than 20 minutes, but nights like this one should limit how often that happens.

Ware has now started 17 of 27 games this year despite going into the season as a bench piece. Ware has been a valuable player for the Heat as he’s typically the best option to insert into the starting lineup regardless of which Heat starter is out. Ware was excellent once again Thursday, recording 22 points, 12 rebounds and four blocks. The Heat take on the Celtics Friday and Ware could be in line for another start.

The Heat are still without Tyler Herro, but they’re going with a bigger lineup due to the matchup. Ware will move into the starting lineup, with Simone Fontecchio being bumped to the bench. While the lineup change positively affects Ware’s fantasy ceiling, Fontecchio’s value takes a slight hit.

Powell will replace Tyler Herro (toe) in the starting lineup, so the main change here is Ware replacing Pelle Larsson in the starting unit. Larsson had started the last game with Powell out but won’t hold much value as a reserve. Ware should be in for a big night as a starter.

Ware’s performance in Dallas was the most recent example that he does not need to start to provide reliable fantasy value. And it was a game that he needed after going scoreless and playing just 16 minutes in Monday’s win over the Clippers. Ware recorded his ninth double-double of the season, and he’s had one in all four games that he’s managed to score at least 20 points. Even with the poor effort against the Clippers, the second-year center has been a top-30 player in eight- and nine-cat formats over the past two weeks.

Ware’s fantastic stretch of basketball continued on Monday. Against the Mavericks, he notched his third straight game of at least 20 points and 14 rebounds — his three three-pointers and trio of triples gave him even more of a productive fantasy basketball night. After a bit of a slower start to the season, Ware has really taken off and proven again that he can produce alongside Bam Adebayo in the frontcourt. Regardless, his ceiling remains high as a nightly double-double threat in just his second year in the league.

A double-digit rebounder in eight straight games, Ware has posted 20-point double-doubles in two straight. This version of the second-year center is the one the Heat wants to see consistently, and he’s answering the call. Over the past two weeks, Ware has provided top-10 per-game value in nine-cat formats. Unfortunately for managers who have him rostered, the Heat play three games during Week 6 instead of four.

Ware moved into the starting lineup with Andrew Wiggins out against the Bulls on Friday. It was the 21-year-old center’s 12th start of the year as he also picked up starts while Bam Adebayo was out for two weeks with a toe injury. Ware showed his upside once again when given the opportunity with 20 points and 14 rebounds in 28 minutes. While he figures to move back to the bench soon, Ware still has to be rostered in most leagues.

The Heat are without Andrew Wiggins for Friday’s game, opening up a spot in the starting lineup. Ware will fill the void, making his 12th start of the season. While the effort can wane at times, the second-year center should be rostered in most 12-team leagues.
