It’s a disappointing update for Watson and the Nuggets, but Denver has approached the season with a “next man up” mentality. Aaron Gordon could see more run with Watson out for the foreseeable future.

With Aaron Gordon (calf) sidelined, Watson will start Sunday’s game. However, he will be restricted to 20 minutes, meaning there will also be time for Spencer Jones to make an impact off the bench.

The Nuggets are listing Watson as available for Wednesday’s contest after missing the front end of the team’s back-to-back on Tuesday. The versatile wing had missed extended time with a hamstring injury before returning on March 22 against the Trail Blazers, in which he scored 14 points and grabbed six rebounds. Watson is having a career-best season and could provide impact from a fantasy standpoint against the Mavs.

Watson was sidelined for the first leg of this back-to-back, but there is still a chance he sits out the second leg. Aaron Gordon (hamstring) is also questionable, so Spencer Jones would be next in line for the start if both are sidelined.

Back in action for the first time since February 4, Watson played 20 minutes without incident on Sunday. And he was effective, shooting just under 50 percent from the field while providing value in rebounds and assists. With Watson in the fold, eight players logged at least 20 minutes against Portland, with Spencer Jones (six points, four rebounds, one assist and one three-pointer) being the ninth man at 11 minutes.

Sunday’s game will be the first for Watson since he suffered a strained hamstring during a February 4 loss to the Knicks. As expected, his minutes will be limited on Sunday, so fantasy managers should not expect much. Moving forward, Watson will provide depth and production off the bench for the Nuggets.

Watson, who did some 3-on-3 scrimmaging at the beginning of the week, has not reached the point where he can play in games. With Aaron Gordon back in the lineup after not playing on Wednesday, Spencer Jones and Julian Strawther will be the key wing contributors off the bench.

Watson has been out since straining his hamstring during a February 4 loss to the Knicks. After Monday’s 3-on-3 session, there is hope that he’ll be available to play sometime this week. While games on Tuesday and Wednesday may not be in the cards for Watson, he may be available toward the end of Week 21. His return will affect the playing time of Spencer Jones and Julian Strawther, neither of whom has done enough to remain on the radar in most fantasy leagues.

Watson is out for Saturday’s game, but he could return to action at some point next week. His eventual return likely affects Julian Strawther and Spencer Jones more than anyone else, as those two have seen their opportunities increase since Watson strained his hamstring in early February.

Watson, who has not appeared in a game since February 4, is closing in on a return to action. However, his only live action has come against the Nuggets’ coaching staff and Aaron Gordon when the forward was ramping up for his return from a strained hamstring. The question for Watson is whether he’ll be able to play the minutes needed to affect fantasy basketball in time for the fantasy playoff weeks.

Watson, who has been out since straining his hamstring during a February 4 loss to the Knicks, remains out for at least one more game. Tim Hardaway Jr. and Bruce Brown have picked up additional minutes recently, especially as Cameron Johnson continues to struggle.

The Nuggets have been down two rotation players, Watson and Aaron Gordon, over the past month due to hamstring strains. Watson was injured during a February 4 loss to the Knicks and given a re-evaluation timeline of four weeks. According to ClutchPoints’ Brett Siegel, the hope is that Watson will be able to return within 7-10 days. Given how well he played before the injury, Watson may start once he’s no longer restricted, given Cameron Johnson’s struggles in his first season with the team.

The Nuggets can’t catch a break this season, as another key player will miss extended time. Watson sustained a right hamstring strain, and he won’t return until the first week of March at the earliest. Spencer Jones (head), Bruce Brown and Tim Hardaway Jr. could all be in line for extended run until Watson returns.

Watson, who has provided the Nuggets with excellent contributions as the team navigated multiple injuries, pulled up during the fourth quarter of Wednesday’s double-overtime loss to the Knicks. With Spencer Jones having exited earlier in the game with a head injury, the Nuggets relied more on Bruce Brown and Tim Hardaway Jr. in Watson’s absence. One may move into the starting lineup, but both will have streaming value in deeper leagues.

Watson played 33 minutes before having to leave Wednesday’s game, giving a foul to stop play before immediately limping back to the locker room. He finished with 10 points (4-of-13 FGs, 1-of-2 FTs), five rebounds, two assists, one steal, one block and one three-pointer. The Nuggets relied on Bruce Brown (10 points, five rebounds, three steals, one block and two three-pointers) and Tim Hardaway Jr. (19 points, six rebounds, two assists, one steal and four three-pointers) down the stretch, and that will be the case if Watson has to miss multiple games. Watson will undergo an MRI to determine the severity of his injury.

Watson did his best to pick up the slack offensively for the Nuggets, with his 29 points being one more than Nikola Jokić (16) and Jamal Murray (12) combined. Since moving into the starting lineup in mid-November, Watson has been a top-100 player in eight- and nine-cat formats. And with Aaron Gordon and Cameron Johnson still out, he should remain a starter for the foreseeable future. Watson is rostered in 45 percent of Yahoo! leagues, which is too low, given his current role.

While Watson’s production on Thursday wasn’t elite, he continues to provide reliable value to fantasy managers. Over the past month, the Nuggets forward has been a top-50 player in fantasy basketball. He’s still rostered in 45 percent of Yahoo! leagues, which is too low, especially with Aaron Gordon (hamstring) ruled out for at least four to six weeks. And with the Nuggets playing two more games in Week 15, now’s a good time to hop onto the Watson bandwagon.

Watson was initially listed as probable to play, so his availability doesn’t come as a surprise. Spencer Jones started in his place in Denver’s last game, but he will likely head to the bench with Watson officially back in the lineup.

Watson is one of multiple starters for Denver that will miss this game. He has been on fire as of late, and they’ll have to turn to Julian Strawther, Tim Hardaway Jr. and Spencer Jones to try and make up some of that production.

Watson has been electric as of late, culminating with a career-high 35 points in Thursday’s win over Washington. The severity of his injury is unknown, but it’s possible he’s getting a maintenance day on the second leg of Denver’s back-to-back set. If Watson is ultimately ruled out, Julian Strawther, Tim Hardaway Jr. and Spencer Jones are all candidates for additional playing time.

Watson has scored at least 20 points 15 times in his career. 13 of those have come this season. This was a new career high for scoring for Watson, and it was more than just a big scoring night. He also matched his career high for triples, which he previously set two weeks prior to this one. It was also a full stat line and an efficient shooting night. Watson’s breakout season has been impressive, and he should remain an elite option until Nikola Jokic returns, though he should certainly retain value after that.

Two nights removed from being limited to 11 points in a blowout loss to the Hornets, Watson was more productive against the Lakers. The fourth-year forward recorded a complete stat line in his 38 minutes, and he has offered consistently reliable value over the past month. Rostered in 43 percent of Yahoo! leagues, Watson has been a sixth-round player in eight-cat formats over the past month. He’s worth rostering until Christian Braun (ankle) and Cameron Johnson (knee) return from their injuries.

Watson continues to offer excellent fantasy value as one of the players helping compensate for Nikola Jokić being out with a knee injury. Over the past three weeks, he has been a sixth-round player in eight-cat formats. Since Jokić’s injury, Watson has scored at least 20 points in eight of ten games, and that includes two 30-point performances. Managers in 12-team leagues should add Watson if he’s sitting on the waiver wire.

Watson followed up his 31-point outburst on Tuesday with another strong scoring performance on the second game of a back-to-back. The versatile forward was limited to only 30 minutes on the evening, but still produced enough on the offensive end to finish as the Nuggets’ third-leading scorer. His pair of three-pointers on efficient shooting added to his fantasy basketball production, as well. Watson has enjoyed a nice stretch over the past few weeks and continues to have his best season as a professional.

Watson’s unreal hot stretch continued in this game. His 19-point game on Sunday ended a six-game streak of at least 20 points, but he followed that up with outing, which was one point shy of matching his season high for points. However, this outing was incredibly efficient, and he was able to contribute value across the board in category leagues. At 23 years old, Watson has vaulted his value in dynasty leagues over the past month and should be considered a must-roster player in redraft formats.

Watson’s emergence as a viable fantasy contributor has been a welcome development on an injury-riddled Nuggets squad that is missing several key contributors. The 23-year-old’s breakthrough continued in this one as he’s topped 19 points for the seventh consecutive game since December 31. He’s worthy of a roster spot in all fantasy leagues based on his recent production.

The avalanche of injuries to key contributors in Denver has created an opportunity for Watson to put together a mini-breakout, scoring 20-plus points in six consecutive games since December 31. The 23-year-old forward recorded his second double-double of the season with Jamal Murray (ankle, illness) sitting out. He’s experienced a noticeable uptick in creation possessions and increased scoring duties over the last two weeks, averaging 21.6 points, 5.9 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 1.4 steals and 0.9 blocks over eight games during that span.
