Chicago’s frontcourt rotation could be razor thin for the second leg of a back-to-back set, and Nick Richards figures to see a big uptick in minutes. Leonard Miller should earn some extra playing time, too.

Sexton has missed the Bulls’ last two games with a leg injury and is likely to miss a third. Rob Dillingham’s playing time has increased, but he’s struggled to take advantage of the opportunity on most nights due partly to a lingering wrist injury. However, Dillingham was productive in Thursday’s loss to the Lakers.

Smith will likely get the night off due to right calf strain injury management, and Okoro will sit out another contest. With Guerschon Yabusele (foot) and Patrick Williams (ankle) listed as questionable, Nick Richards could see a huge boost in playing time.

Miller logged 31 minutes on Thursday, which was enough to score in double figures for a second straight game and finish one rebound shy of back-to-back double-doubles. The third-year forward has seen his opportunities increase in his short tenure in Chicago following a midseason trade from Minnesota. So far, he’s showing potential to be a double-double threat if the minutes are high enough.

On the heels of a career-best 41-point outing against the Warriors, Buzelis finished Thursday’s contest as one of seven Bulls players to score in double figures; his four three-pointers led him to the second-highest scoring total on the team. Meanwhile, his four stocks on the defensive end were the most of any Chicago player on Thursday. Buzelis has been trending in the right direction for quite a while now and should remain one of the Bulls’ most relied upon players down the stretch of the season.

The Bulls had a fine night on the offensive end, as they were carried by their do-it-all point guard. Giddey shot the ball with extreme confidence from beyond the arc and was masterful as a playmaker en route to his 23rd double-double of the season. He did commit six turnovers, but was otherwise very productive from a fantasy standpoint. He’s now tallied three straight double-doubles with a chance for a fourth consecutive on Friday against the Clippers.

The Bulls won’t have Guerschon Yabusele for Thursday’s game, as he’s out with a sore left foot. As a result, they’re going smaller, with Jones returning to the starting lineup. This change also shifts Smith down a position, as he’ll serve as the starting center.

Buzelis is good to go after initially being probable for Thursday’s game. He’ll once again take on a prominent role within the Bulls rotation, one game removed from dropping a career-high 41 points on the Warriors.

Giddey was initially listed as probable, and he has now been cleared to suit up. He has recorded a triple-double in two straight games and in three of his last four appearances and will look to keep that going in this one.

Downgraded to doubtful on Thursday afternoon, Yabusele is officially out. His absence means more playing time for Nick Richards, who could move into the starting lineup. Richards is worth the streaming risk in deep leagues due to the double-double potential.

Williams was downgraded to doubtful earlier in the day, and he has now officially been ruled out. This will be his sixth absence in Chicago’s last seven games, which means Nick Richards should continue to take on extra minutes off the bench.

Okoro remains out for another game, which means Jalen Smith will get another start, raising his fantasy ceiling. Smith should be rostered in 12-team formats now that he’s healthy.

Smith was downgraded to questionable earlier in the day, but he will suit up against Los Angeles. He recorded a double-double in Tuesday’s win over the Warriors as a starter and will look to remain productive in a similar role in this outing.

Sexton will miss a second straight game with the same injury that caused him to exit early on Sunday. Rob Dillingham should continue to take on extra minutes off the bench, though he hasn’t produced much value in an extended role.

Both players were downgraded to doubtful, which is never a good sign this close to tip-off. With Jalen Smith (calf) also downgraded to questionable, the Bulls could be really shorthanded in the front court. That would leave lots of minutes for Nick Richards and then the Bulls’ full complement of guards.

Smith had been listed as probable, so a downgrade this close to game time is never a great sign. The Bulls have another game on Friday, so it seems likely that Smith will sit this one out, which will give Nick Richards a much larger role.

Smith played 34 minutes in Tuesday’s overtime win over the Warriors, recording a double-double despite shooting 3-of-13 from the field. The Bulls play on Thursday and Friday, so Smith may not be available for the second game of the back-to-back if he plays against the Lakers.

Sexton and Williams were held out of Tuesday’s win over the Warriors, resulting in more minutes for Rob Dillingham and Nick Richards. Chicago went with an eight-man rotation against Golden State, and they may have to do so again if Sexton and Williams can’t play.

Yabusele is dealing with a sore left foot. While the production has tailed off recently, he has done enough to remain in the Bulls’ starting lineup. Isaac Okoro (knee) may be able to return; if so, he could fill the void if Yabusele can’t play, which pushes Jalen Smith to the five.

While Okoro has not done enough to merit rostering in most fantasy leagues, he is a starter when healthy. Jalen Smith, who offers a higher fantasy ceiling, moved into the starting lineup with Okoro out for Tuesday’s win over the Warriors and played 34 minutes.

Giddey returned to the Bulls’ lineup on Tuesday after a one-game absence, logging 43 minutes in an overtime win over the Warriors. With the Bulls also playing on Friday, there’s a chance that Giddey gets a night off at some point. Tre Jones, who can still provide solid fantasy value when coming off the bench, is the player most impacted by Giddey’s availability.

Buzelis was also probable ahead of Tuesday’s win over the Warriors, a game in which he dropped a career-high 41 points. Fantasy managers should set their lineups with the expectation that the second-year forward will play.

Despite being moved to the bench for Tuesday’s game, Jones remained productive. The 22 points were the most he’s scored in a game since January 13, when he dropped 34 in a loss to the Rockets. Add in the rebounds and assists, and this was another good night for those who have Jones on their fantasy rosters. Even if he continues to come off the bench, Jones has been effective enough to merit rostering in 14-team leagues.

While he didn’t have a good night shooting the ball from the field, Smith came up big when the Bulls needed him most at the foul line. He shot 4-of-4 from the charity stripe in the final second of regulation, with the last two forcing overtime. More important than Smith’s shooting numbers was his playing 34 of a possible 53 minutes despite his recent calf strain. If the Bulls stick to playing him starters’ minutes, Smith will be a must-roster player for the silly season.

Matas Buzelis wasn’t the only Bull to put up a career-high number in Tuesday’s overtime victory. Giddey did so in the assist category while recording his tenth double-double of the season. There weren’t any defensive stats to speak of, but Giddey managers will be fine with the production they received. The Bulls have two more games in Week 20, a back-to-back on Thursday and Friday against the Lakers and Clippers. That could pose an issue for Giddey, even though he did play both games of Chicago’s most recent back-to-back.

The sprained ankle that sidelined Buzelis for Sunday’s win over the Suns was not an issue on Tuesday, as the second-year forward enjoyed the most productive scoring night of his career. Not only did Buzelis record his first 40-point game, but he became the second-youngest player in franchise history to do so, trailing Elton Brand. Given where the Bulls are in the standings, figuring out how heavy a workload Buzelis can shoulder should be one of the team’s priorities over the final month of the regular season. If that’s the approach the Bulls take, that would be good news for fantasy managers.

Okoro has been added to the Bulls’ injury report one hour before the scheduled tip time, which is rarely good news. While his absence would not affect fantasy basketball, it would open a spot in the starting lineup. One option for the Bulls would be to start Jalen Smith and Guerschon Yabusele together, going with a bigger starting lineup.

Having played 17 minutes in Sunday’s loss to the Kings after missing four games with a strained quad, Williams will not be available on Tuesday. While he has been a non-factor in fantasy basketball, Williams’ absence frees up a few minutes for fellow reserve Leonard Miller.
