Clifford played a good amount of minutes down the stretch of the season for the Kings due to Keegan Murray (ankle) missing time. While the 24-year-old shooting guard had at least 18 points in four of his last five games, he struggled with his shot at times in March and April. Still, there are flashes of potential with Clifford, though in order for him to be fantasy-relevant he has to enter next year in the starting lineup.

The three veterans won’t be available for Sunday’s season finale. The absences of DeRozan, Westbrook and Monk have benefited Devin Carter, Nique Clifford and Daeqwon Plowden. That will remain the case on Sunday, with Carter coming off a 29-point effort in Friday’s win over the Warriors.

Murray was cleared to resume contact on March 25, but he’ll end the season with his last game action occurring on February 25. Nique Clifford and Daeqwon Plowden have seen their minutes increase substantially over the final month of the season, and they should play plenty on Sunday.

The rookie struggled with his shot in this game but made up for it by getting to the free throw line. This was his fourth career game scoring at least 20 points, with two of those coming in his last four games. There were high expectations for him to be an NBA-ready rookie, and he has had some excellent games this year, though his role early on was too limited for his season-long numbers to be strong. Still, there were some impressive flashes, and if he is able to remain a starter next season, he may be able to make a real impact for fantasy managers.

Plowden continues to pour in the points for the Kings. This was his fourth 20-point game of the season, with all of those coming over the past month. He spent most of this season in the G League, but he has taken advantage of his opportunity to play a larger role role since the trade deadline. He has played well, which should continue in the season finale on Sunday.

Raynaud continues to look like one of the best value picks of the 2025 class. He’s is currently eighth in the class in points per game, but since the All-Star break, he is fifth. Raynaud has been one of the few bright spots in what has been a tumultuous season for Sacramento. Depending on what moves the Kings make this summer, Raynaud could end up being a valuable option in fantasy basketball once again next season.

Carter has had some strong performances as a starter over the past couple of weeks, but this was his best. He set a new career high for scoring in the win, and this was his third 20-point game in his last six outings. The 2024 lottery pick struggled to find a place in Sacramento’s rotation early on, but he has played a consistent role over the past couple of months and has been effective recently. Hopefully he’ll be able to carry some of this into next season, though fantasy managers shouldn’t bank on it.

Raynaud had another impressive game as he finishes out his rookie campaign. In just 25 minutes, the 23-year-old center had 17 points and eight rebounds. Raynaud didn’t provide much in the other categories, but he’s shown himself to be a worthwhile fantasy option when starting.

The Kings won’t have DeMar DeRozan for Tuesday’s game, opening up a spot in the starting lineup. As a result, Plowden will start and he is worth streaming in active fantasy leagues.

DeRozan has been ruled out after he was initially listed as questionable with a sore right hamstring. Daeqwon Plowden started the last time DeRozan missed a game and could move into the starting lineup again with the 36-year-old shooting guard sidelined.

DeRozan missed a game with the same hamstring issue about a week before this, and there is a chance he misses another. Daeqwon Plowden started that game in his stead and would likely occupy that role again if DeRozan is unavailable.

Rostered in eight percent of Yahoo! leagues, Cardwell provided fantasy managers with an excellent stat line on Sunday. One game removed from blocking five shots in a win over the Pelicans, the rookie center recorded four more in the 138-109 loss to the Clippers. Add in the rebounds, steals and field-goal percentage, and Cardwell’s performance was an excellent capper to his Week 23. For fantasy managers in leagues that run through Week 24, the Kings play three games, and Cardwell should continue to play extended minutes.

Sunday was the second time this season in which Raynaud grabbed at least 15 rebounds in a game, the first being a 19-rebound effort against the Pelicans on February 9. The 7-foot-1 rookie has provided solid fantasy value since moving into the starting lineup for the injured Domantas Sabonis, ending Week 23 rostered in 43 percent of Yahoo! leagues. Raynaud’s rookie campaign has been an encouraging one, but his fantasy outlook for 2026-27 depends on Sabonis’ status, as he would offer limited value if relegated to the bench.

Clifford and the Kings lost by 29 points, but that didn’t stop the 24-year-old guard from playing 38 minutes and amassing a full stat line. He’s had enough production in his rookie season to be encouraged about his fantasy prospects in the future. The Kings have three games in the final week of the regular season, starting with a matchup against the Warriors on Tuesday.

Monk is back after missing Friday’s win over the Pelicans for personal reasons. He’ll provide depth and production off the bench, and his return is likely to result in fewer minutes for Daeqwon Plowden.

DeRozan had a fairly quiet Friday night from a production standpoint. He fell way below his season average in points, which is understandable given he only played 23 minutes. But even in his limited time, he was one of Sacramento’s best passers on a night when the offense scored a lot of points. DeRozan was impactful in his minutes, but the fantasy production didn’t follow.

Clifford was one of the Kings’ most productive players on Friday; he led the team in assists and three-pointers while finishing second in points. The rookie also logged a team-high in minutes, and like fellow rookie Maxime Raynaud, Clifford has had a very encouraging season for the Kings. He’ll be an intriguing player to follow from a fantasy standpoint going forward.

Raynaud’s stellar rookie season continued on Friday, as he impressed by nearly logging 30 points. He shot the ball with extreme accuracy, got to the charity stripe a good amount, and finished one rebound shy of a double-double. Raynaud has been one of the bright spots for the Kings in what’s been a tough season from a wins and losses standpoint. Based on what he’s shown as a rookie, his ceiling should be high when projecting fantasy impact down the road.

After sitting out Sunday’s loss to the Nets, Monk played 29 minutes off the bench in Wednesday’s win over the Raptors. If he’s unable to play on Friday, those minutes will be divided among multiple players, including Devin Carter and Daeqwon Plowden.

DeRozan’s 12 free throws were the most he’s attempted in a game since March 15, when he put up 21 attempts in a win over the Jazz. Also, Wednesday’s game was the first in which he’s made multiple three-pointers since January 6, so fantasy managers will be pleased with that bonus. The Kings don’t have a back-to-back to worry about for their final two games of Week 23. Hopefully, that means DeRozan is guaranteed to be on the court playing starters’ minutes.

Back in the rotation after sitting out Sunday’s loss to the Nets, Monk played 29 minutes off the bench in Toronto. The final stat line was a solid one, and the veteran guard is capable of providing good value in the Kings’ final two games of Week 23. As long as Monk is hitting the high-20s in minutes, he’s worth rostering in 14-team leagues, and some 12-team formats as well.

Achiuwa was outstanding on Wednesday, grabbing a season-high 19 rebounds and recording his 11th double-double of the season. By comparison, he recorded 12 double-doubles in his previous two seasons combined. The Kings’ frontcourt injuries have opened the door for Achiuwa, and on most nights, he’s taken advantage. Sacramento plays two more games in Week 23, starting with the Pelicans on Friday.

Carter has started Sacramento’s four games, with his performance on Sunday being the best of the bunch. In addition to the good percentages, the second-year guard put up good numbers in the rebound, assist and three-point categories. Given where the Kings are in the standings, Carter should continue to figure prominently in the rotation. Carter isn’t a must-add player, but he may be worth a look for the back end of Week 23.

While he had a rough night at the foul line, Achiuwa once again provided solid value in points, rebounds and field-goal percentage. Since the All-Star break, he has been close to a top-50 player in eight-cat formats, exceeding expectations by a sizable distance. The Kings’ three games in Week 23 don’t include a back-to-back, which bodes well for Achiuwa’s availability.

Moved into the starting lineup thanks to the absences of Malik Monk and DeMar DeRozan, Clifford played 37 minutes on Sunday. With Saturday’s loss to the Hawks being his first game back after a two-game absence, the rookie playing that much on Sunday was surprising. However, Clifford was productive in his time on the floor and did not experience a setback with his foot. The Kings play three games in Week 23, starting with the Raptors on Wednesday.

The Kings are without Malik Monk and DeMar DeRozan for Sunday’s game. Clifford and Plowden move from the bench to the starting lineup, with the former playing both games of Sacramento’s back-to-back after missing two games with a foot injury.
