The positive takeaway here for fantasy managers is that Langford has managed to avoid a trip to the injured list after being scratched from Friday’s lineup with back stiffness. Rangers manager Bruce Bochy didn’t seem overly concerned when discussing the matter, but back issues can be tricky matters. There should be some clarity on the 23-year-old power/speed combo outfielder’s status ahead of Sunday’s series finale in Pittsburgh.

It’ll be Willi Castro heading out to handle right field with Matt Wallner at DH on Saturday afternoon in his absence.
