Happ stayed hot the plate on Saturday, leading off the bottom of the first inning with a solo homer off Emmerson Hancock. He did it again in the second, taking Hancock deep for a three-run blast. It was Happ’s third straight game with a home run. The 30-year-old outfielder is slashing .250/.343/.423 with 11 homers, 49 runs scored, 38 RBI, and four steals over 315 plate appearances.

Horton gave up a run in the second inning on a walk, double, and a base hit. Seattle brought two more runs in to score in the third before Horton was chased with two outs in the fourth after an error allowed a run to score and left two runners on base. The 23-year-old right-hander has posted a respectable 3.73 ERA, 1.29 WHIP, and a 31/10 K/BB ratio across 41 innings. He lines up for a start against the Astros in Houston on Friday.

The positive takeaway here for fantasy managers is that Langford has managed to avoid a trip to the injured list after being scratched from Friday’s lineup with back stiffness. Rangers manager Bruce Bochy didn’t seem overly concerned when discussing the matter, but back issues can be tricky matters. There should be some clarity on the 23-year-old power/speed combo outfielder’s status ahead of Sunday’s series finale in Pittsburgh.

The presence of veteran southpaw Jose Quintana on the mound for Milwaukee makes it easier for Minnesota to give Larnach an extra day of rest after being scratched from Friday’s lineup with a right hand contusion. It’ll be Willi Castro heading out to handle right field with Matt Wallner at DH on Saturday afternoon in his absence.
