Harris has started the year going 16-for-41 (.390) with two home runs, three steals, seven RBI, and 13 runs scored. He didn’t produce in his first big league action last year, but with Gio Urshela hitting just .179/.220/.256 in 42 plate appearances for the Athletics this season, you have to wonder if another few strong weeks from Harris could push the team to make a move.

As a team, the A’s were only able to muster four total hits and two walks in the contest — with Butler the only member of their offense to reach base twice. He also struck out twice in the ballgame. On the season, he’s hitting a disappointing .249/.307/.441 with eight homers, 23 RBI and eight stolen bases through his first 231 plate appearances.

Oof. The 27-year-old left-hander walked a batter and didn’t record a strikeout in the miserable performance. All of the damage done against him came in the second inning, including home runs off the bats of Ernie Clement and Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Lopez got just two swings and misses on 43 pitches on the night, posting a miserable CSW of 21 percent. He’s now 0-3 with a 6.32 ERA, 1.85 WHIP and a 17/9 K/BB ratio over 15 2/3 innings in six appearances (three starts) with the A’s this season. It remains to be seen if he’ll draw another start on Tuesday against the Twins, or if he’ll head back to Triple-A Las Vegas for more seasoning.

Bleday is now 6-for-9 with a home run, a steal, and three RBI in his two minor league games. Meanwhile, Denzel Clarke struck out four times on Wednesday and has 13 strikeouts in 17 MLB plate appearances. It seems likely that we see Bleday back up for Clarke in the next few weeks.

Stott has batted fifth or lower in seven of his past eight games since June 6. The 27-year-old speedster’s fantasy appeal takes a hit with the move to the lower third of Philadelphia’s lineup and is batting just .193 (21-for-109) with one homer and four steals over his last 30 games. He remains a borderline mixed-league option for fantasy purposes given the state of the second base position overall, but it might be time for managers to start considering alternatives on the free agent wire.

Alvarez will go back to making a minor league salary after just four rehab games in which he went 4-for-15 with a double. The 22-year-old infielder had been on the IL with wrist inflammation since the beginning of the season.

Edman tagged Giants’ right-hander Sean Hjelle for a 400-foot (103.3 mph EV) solo shot in the second inning that extended the Dodgers’ lead to 2-0. The versatile 30-year-old finished the evening 1-for-3 and is now slashing .247/.283/.463 with 10 homers, 34 RBI and three stolen bases on the season.
