Baty heads to the bench with lefty Carlos Rodón taking the hill on Saturday after 11 consecutive starts between second and third base since June 23. The 25-year-old is hitting just .196 (19-for-97) with three homers and one steal over his last 30 games and will continue to cede occasional playing time to Mark Vientos at the hot corner when the DH spot is occupied.

It’ll be a bullpen day for the Mets as they look to get innings from a starting staff that has been decimated by injuries. He’ll likely go an inning or two before giving way to another arm, so there’ll be no chance for Devenski to pick up a win.

The 26-year-old infielder landed on the injured list on Sunday after aggravating his left ankle injury during Friday’s game against the Angels. The Jays hope to have an estimate on his timeline after he’s re-evaluated next weekend, it sounds like it could be a while though. Davis Schneider seems to be the largest beneficiary in terms of playing time for the Jays’ while Giménez is sidelined.

Stott came to bat against Tony Santillan in a tie game in the eighth inning and launched a ball 405 feet at 105.8 mph for a two-run home run that put the Phillies on top. The 27-year-old has six home runs and 37 RBI on the season and is coming off a tough month of June, where he hit .202/.287/.262 with 11 RBI and eight runs scored. Stott swings a lot, but has been able to make enough good contact to sport a strong batting average despite his aggressive approach. Perhaps he needs to make a tweak or two in order to get back on track.

Edman takes a seat after being hit by a pitch on the right foot during Saturday’s contest at Dodger Stadium. It’s unclear whether he’ll undergo X-rays or any additional imaging to determine the severity of the issue. It’ll be Hyeseong Kim at second base on Sunday afternoon in his place. Fantasy managers should consider him day-to-day for now.
