Anthony Seigler has no outfield experience, so the Brewers will be shorthanded there in dropping Cameron from the roster. Still, they obviously wanted some more offense, and they do have Blake Parker hopefully coming back before long. Cameron hit .195/.214/.293 with a 13/1 K/BB in 42 plate appearances.

Woodruff will make his first appearance back in the big leagues since undergoing shoulder surgery prior to the 2024 season. The 32-year-old former fantasy ace is unlikely to make a significant impact right away, but it’s impossible to rule it out entirely given his track record.

The exact nature of the surgery won’t be known until after the procedure, but Thomas is certainly done for the rest of the season. The 27-year-old lefty has been out since early April with elbow issues. He was a Rule 5 pickup from the Cardinals in the offseason.

The goal is for him to be ready to go next spring, but it doesn’t sound like that’s assured. Because of the shoulder and other injuries, Mitchell has played in just 141 major league games since debuting four years ago, though he’s racked up 3.6 bWAR when he’s been on the field.

The 32-year-old slugger got the scoring started in the ballgame with a two-run knock off of Brandon Young in the third inning. He then doubled with two outs in the fifth inning and rode home on Alejandro Osuna’s two-run blast. García also smacked another two-run single into left field in the sixth that extended the Rangers’ lead to 7-2. While he has picked up the pace offensively, he’s still slashing an underwhelming .231/.276/.395 with 10 homers, 49 RBI and eight stolen bases on the season.

The Angels scored a run on an RBI double by Jo Adell in the top half of the eighth inning to take a 1-0 lead then Soler followed with a two-run double that seemingly put the game out of reach at that stage. A fun night for Soler to victimize his former ballclub in his first game back off the injured list. On the season, the 33-year-old slugger is slashing an underwhelming .209/.287/.356 with eight long balls and 28 RBI.

As a team, the Braves were only able to muster six total hits against Tyler Anderson and company in what was a brutal offensive performance. The 27-year-old superstar outfielder whiffed three times against Tyler Anderson and also took a called third strike against Jose Fermin in the seventh inning. Even with the rough night, he’s still slashing an outstanding .350/.467/.610 with nine homers, 18 RBI and four stolen bases in his first 35 games.
