Buxton told reporters after the game that he “didn’t feel good” but believes he avoided a long-term injury. The contusion occurred when he was plunked by a pitch, and while he stayed in the game initially, he was unable to continue. Buxton may get Sunday off, but should be back in the lineup in the coming days.

In another ballpark, they probably both would have turned in scoreless outings. Ryan allowed just one hit besides the homer and struck out seven. He’ll likely make his next start at home against the Brewers.
