Perdomo hit his ninth homer of the year in the fifth inning to tie the game at 4-4. He also drove in a run with a bases-loaded walk. Perdomo has scuffled in June with a .607 OPS, but there’s been some glimpses of excellent from the 25-year-old in 2025.

McCarthy also drew a walk and scored another run. The homer is his first in the majors in 2025, while the steal is just the second. McCarthy showed flashes of being a fantasy option a few years ago, but these games have just been too few and too far between.

Kelly was hurt by his defense, but there was plenty of self-inflicted damage. The 36-year-old was also responsible for those two unearned runs, as they came on an error he made. It’s a disappointing effort considering the lineup he was facing, but at least it’s “complemented” with some punchouts. Kelly will take on the Giants next week.

Fulford doubled twice in the game; a two-run two-bagger in the sixth and another that brought in a run in the eighth. He’s hit .281 with a .500 slugging percentage, but he’s the clear backup backstop for the worst team in the sport. There’s no point in insulting anyone’s intelligence in regards to whether he’s worth a fantasy addition.

Sanchez’ home run was his fourth of the year. He hit a two-run shot off Eric Orze in the fifth inning. The 32-year-old has transitioned into a backup backstop in the last few years and excelled in the role. He’s currently seeing regular at-bats with Adley Rutschman (oblique) on the injured list. That makes Sanchez relevant in two-catcher formats as long as he’s hitting like this.

The ball seemed to hit just inside his face mask and caught Garver flush on the chin/jaw area. He’ll undergo additional imaging on Thursday, the results of which aren’t expected to be known until Friday. Harry Ford was subsequently scratched from his game at Triple-A Tacoma on Friday and would be an option to join the M’s on Friday if Garver is forced to land on the injured list.
