Baldwin finds himself behind the plate for the fourth time in the last five games as he continues to carve out an even greater role during his rookie campaign. The 24-year-old backstop has been one of the more impactful catchers in the fantasy landscape, hitting .288/.355/.471 with eight homers and 25 RBI across 52 games. His emergence has relegated veteran Sean Murphy to more of a true backup role in recent days.

It’s just a routine day off for the catcher, but a day off when your teammates are facing Paul Skenes might not be the worst thing in the world. We’d expect Contreras to return to the lineup on Friday against the Rockies, but Eric Haase will catch and hit ninth for the Brewers on Wednesday.

After Wenceel Perez smacked a two-run double that tied the game in the third inning, Dingler crushed a 390-foot (106.6 mph EV) two-out, three-run homer that gave the Tigers a 7-4 lead they would never relinquish. That would be his only hit in four at-bats on the night, but it played a pivotal role in the victory. For the season, the 26-year-old backstop is slashing .272/.304/.437 with eight home runs and 34 RBI.
