Cade Povich tossed 3 2/3 scoreless innings and got the win in the Orioles’ 11-2 victory over the Angels on Sunday.

Orioles claimed RHP Kyle Tyler off waivers from the Phillies.

Tyler will head to Triple-A Norfolk as extra organizational relief depth. The 28-year-old righty was removed from Philadelphia’s 40-man roster last weekend.

Starting at catcher, Iván Herrera went 2-for-3 and hit his eighth homer Sunday against the Brewers.

It’s kind of eerie how all of Herrera’s best offensive games come when he’s catching. His previous homer came Monday, which was also the last game he had caught. In between, he was limited to four singles in 20 at-bats as a DH. He’s currently batting .377 with six homers in 12 games as a catcher, compared to .284 with two homers in 27 games as a DH.

Braxton Fulford went 2-for-2 with a walk, a triple, a run scored and five RBI against the Braves on Sunday.

Pirates’ skipper Don Kelly told reporters on Saturday that Endy Rodriguez (elbow) will receive a PRP injection next week and then be shut down to rest for the next four weeks.

That explains why he was moved to the 60-day injured list on Friday. That determination was made after a follow-up examination with Dr. Neal ElAttrache. It sounds like Rodriguez is going to be sidelined well into the second half of the season and can probably be dropped in any season-long leagues.
