The 6-foot-7 flamethrower was pulled after five hitless innings on Thursday in his big-league debut against the Cardinals after rolling his ankle. He woke up feeling much better on Friday and doesn’t think it will impact him going forward. He’ll have all eyes on him when he takes the mound on Wednesday against the division-rival Cubs at Wrigley Field.

Mitchell could return this weekend or early next week after missing nearly two months with an oblique strain. Isaac Collins, who has been playing pretty regularly in the Milwaukee outfield lately, will lose at-bats.

The second single was a bunt by Nolan Gorman, putting the tying run on second base and the go-ahead run on first. Megill, though, fanned Jordan Walker, Victor Scott II and Masyn Winn afterwards. It’s the first time since April 2 that he’s struck out three in an inning.
