Fraley will rehab during the team’s upcoming road trip and plans to play through the injury. He is expected to have surgery after the season. Fraley is not a recommended play in shallow fantasy leagues in 2025 as he plays through the injury.

La Sorsa, who has given up four runs over two innings in two appearances for the Reds this season, will rejoin the pen. He has managed a 3.70 ERA in Triple-A, but even there, his 21/17 K/BB in 24 1/3 innings is discouraging.

Benson singled to lead off the sixth inning and scored on a base hit. He added a double in the eighth before stepping to the plate with the bases loaded in a tie game in the ninth. He delivered the walk-off hit off Robert Suarez to bring home the game-winning run. The 27-year-old outfielder is slashing .233/.299/.433 with six homers and 22 RBI across 137 plate appearances.

While those are not eye-opening numbers, Walker played the whole game in right field, which is more important to the Cardinals. He should play another game or two in the outfield to confirm he’s healthy enough for back-to-backs and then could return to St. Louis. How the team will manage starts between Walker, Brendan Donovan, Nolan Gorman, and Alec Burleson will be the bigger fantasy question.

Carpenter got the scoring started in the ballgame with a solo blast off of Chris Paddack in the opening inning. He then added a run-scoring triple in the fifth, but appeared to grab at his hamstring while coming out of the box on that one and was ultimately replaced by Wenceel Perez as a pinch-runner at third base. Look for the Tigers to provide an update on the 27-year-old slugger’s status as soon as more information becomes available. This isn’t the first time Carpenter has left the game with a hamstring injury this year.

Barger and Vladimir Guerrero Jr. went back-to-back off Walker Buehler in the first. It was Barger’s lone hit, but he did total three hard-hit balls to go along with a strikeout. He’s batting .250/.300/.512 with five homers in June. It’s not quite as good as his May, but it definitely ought to keep him in the lineup.
