The 22-year-old former top prospect has been sizzling-hot at the dish of late and should come off the bench at some point in the contest.

Yankees manager Aaron Boone told reporters Chisholm is dealing with some “shoulder stuff” that has been bothering him for a couple weeks. All of Ward’s hits were singles, and none of them left the bat harder than 91 mph, but they count all the same in the scorebook. Ward had a rough month of June, hitting .204/.312/.430, but he has come out of the gates hot in July, going 9-for-23 in his first six games. Perhaps his bat is waking up with the California heat.
