Bart won’t be hitting the injured list yet, but he’s going to sit out Saturday’s contest after making an early exit from Friday’s game with lower back discomfort. It’ll be Henry Davis handling the catching duties on Saturday night in his place. Fantasy managers should consider him day-to-day for now.

Horwitz opened the scoring in the top half of the first inning with an RBI single off of right-hander Colin Rea. He also singled with two outs in the sixth inning but the Pirates were unable to cash him in. With his two-hit attack, the 27-year-old first baseman is now hitting .227/.299/.330 with one long ball and seven RBI.

Keller struck out three opposing hitters on the day while issuing a pair of free passes. All of the scoring done against him came in the opening frame as Seiya Suzuki drove in a run with a ground out and Dansby Swanson added a two-out RBI single. The 29-year-old hurler generated nine swings and misses on 88 pitches on the day, registering a CSW of 24 percent. He’ll look to get back in the win column as he brings a 1-9 record, 4.08 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and a 68/22 K/BB ratio (88 1/3 innings) into Saturday’s matchup against the Rangers.

After struggling in his first two starts last month, Burrows has been very good twice and adequate once in three starts in June, leaving him with a 4.24 ERA overall. The eight strikeouts today topped his previous high by two, and he went without a walk for the second time in his five starts. He’ll make his next start at home against the Rangers.

The 29-year-old infielder actually opened the scoring in the ballgame as he smacked an RBI single off of Luis Ortiz in the home half of the second inning. He then rode home on J.P. Crawford’s game-changing grand slam. That would be Mastrobuoni’s only hit in four plate appearances on the day. For the season, he’s slashing an underwhelming .241/.323/.295 with just one home run, nine RBI and three stolen bases in 130 plate appearances.

Marte has turned his season around in a big way. He has a .960 OPS over his last 15 games and has worked his way back into a nearly full-time role at designated hitter for the Mets since Mark Vientos went out with a hamstring injury. Sadly, as he’s now 36 years old, he’s no longer anything close to the prolific base stealer he once was with four on the season.

He’ll stay there at least through the weekend before being re-evaluated. The 28-year-old has been sidelined since late May due to renewed inflammation in his shoulder. The fact that he’s already back in live game action is very encouraging though and it’s possible that he could rejoin the big league club at some point next week if everything goes well.
