Schwarber finds himself atop Philadelphia’s lineup for the first time since early April as they close out the first half in San Diego. It’s a notable development for the 32-year-old slugger, who is up to 30 round-tripper’s this season through 95 games. Speedy shortstop Trea Turner has been moved to the second spot in the order.

Bohm will sit out Sunday’s first-half finale against San Diego after being removed from Saturday’s showdown with a bruised left rib cage. There should be a clearer picture of his status coming out of next week’s All-Star break. It’ll be Edmundo Sosa taking over at the hot corner in his absence.

Wheeler gave up three of his runs in the second inning, with two of those coming on a two-run blast by Jackson Merrill. He finished the first half with a 2.36 ERA, 154/26 K/BB ratio and 9-3 record over his 122 innings. Wheeler will get a chance to pitch in the All-Star Game in Atlanta on Tuesday, and then face off against the Angels to begin the second half.

Bohm exited the contest shortly after he was hit in the rib cage on a pitch from Yu Darvish. The Phillies will probably take extra precaution with the All-Star break beginning after Sunday, but there should be more information on his availability before that contest.

Manzardo’s home run was No. 15 on the season for him. The 24-year-old DH hit a three-run home run off Aaron Civale in the sixth inning. Manzardo’s home run was his second in as many days and fourth in his last 16 games. He’s hitting .217 with a .735 OPS and 37 RBI this year.

Friedl laced a 101.4 mph shot off of Austin Gomber 385 feet for his ninth home run of the season. The 29-year-old has proven himself to be a useful fantasy asset as the Reds’ lead-off hitter whenever he’s healthy, and his .276/.368/.406 slash line this season is continuing that.

Stanton had one of the two Yankees hits on the day and their only run. He now has four home runs and 14 RBI in 21 games this season. He also continues to strike out over 30 percent of the time, as he has in basically every season since 2021. The Yankees continue to play him around four times a week, which makes it hard to roster him in weekly lineup leagues, but he has value in daily moves leagues or OPS leagues.
