Gurriel got off to a slow start to the season, but since May 1st, he’s hitting .307/.367/.497 with six home runs, 15 runs scored, and 23 RBI in four games. The 31-year-old has a $13 million player option after this season, so there’s a chance he tests the free agent market in the off-season. If the Diamondbacks think that’s a risk, they may look to trade Gurriel away at the deadline this year.

Moreno has missed the last few days with his hand bruise, and the Diamondbacks will now give the backstop a chance to get better while not hamstringing their roster. Assuming there’s no structural damage Moreno could be back in a week, but for now, Jose Herrera will be Arizona’s everyday backstop with Aramis Garcia up from Reno to help handle catching duties.

Roden was set to start in left with Myles Straw (ankle) unavailable, but his own trouble will keep him out of Thursday’s lineup. Will Robertson will instead get the start and hit eighth against Ryne Nelson and the Diamondbacks’ bullpen.

Wilson, 30, has been ineffective off the bench, and the Phillies will send the outfielder down to Lehigh Valley while replacing him with Buddy Kennedy. Assuming Wilson gets back on track in the minors, he should rejoin Philadelphia; albeit in a role that offers no fantasy upside.
