Ozuna, who has been the subject of trade rumors recently, closes out a disappointing first half with two homers in his final three games. He finishes batting .239/.364/.396 with 13 homers and 42 RBI through 89 games. The 34-year-old veteran slugger deserves some credit for playing through a lingering hip issue, which appears to have adversely impacted his power production. It’ll be interesting to see if the impending free agent attracts any attention at the upcoming trade deadline. It’ll be Sean Murphy at DH on Sunday afternoon against St. Louis.

Suero has bounced around the last few years, making six appearances between the Astros and Dodgers at the big-league level since 2021. The well-traveled 33-year-old reliever will likely operate in low-leverage spots for Atlanta.

Hernández returns to the minors after handing out three free passes during Saturday’s relief outing against the Cardinals. The 28-year-old righty has pitched three of the last four days, so Atlanta has decided to swap him out for a fresh arm ahead of Sunday’s series finale in St. Louis. He should return at some point in the early stages of the second half.

Peterson has been removed from Atlanta’s 40-man roster just ahead of the All-Star break to make room for veteran reliever Wander Suero. The 31-year-old righty made four relief appearances earlier this season in the big leagues.

Manzardo’s home run was No. 15 on the season for him. The 24-year-old DH hit a three-run home run off Aaron Civale in the sixth inning. Manzardo’s home run was his second in as many days and fourth in his last 16 games. He’s hitting .217 with a .735 OPS and 37 RBI this year.

Friedl laced a 101.4 mph shot off of Austin Gomber 385 feet for his ninth home run of the season. The 29-year-old has proven himself to be a useful fantasy asset as the Reds’ lead-off hitter whenever he’s healthy, and his .276/.368/.406 slash line this season is continuing that.

Stanton had one of the two Yankees hits on the day and their only run. He now has four home runs and 14 RBI in 21 games this season. He also continues to strike out over 30 percent of the time, as he has in basically every season since 2021. The Yankees continue to play him around four times a week, which makes it hard to roster him in weekly lineup leagues, but he has value in daily moves leagues or OPS leagues.
