Painter struck out three and walked one, and allowed all of his runs on three home runs. The 22-year-old now has a 4.97 ERA in 11 starts at Triple-A with a 55/20 K/BB ratio in 50 2/3 innings. The Phillies likely care more about his pitch movement and locations than his statline, so the inconsistent performance doesn’t necessarily mean that he won’t get an opportunity in Philadelphia after the break, but it’s something we should keep in mind when thinking about what kind of fantasy value he’ll have in 2025.

Romano recorded the final two outs in the eighth to preserve a two-run lead for the Phillies. He returned for the ninth and put two runners on with one out before Patrick Bailey launched a ball that caromed off the top of the wall in right-center as he raced home for an inside-the-park home run to walk it off. Romano hasn’t recorded a save since May 29, with Matt Strahm and Orion Kerkering mostly working in a committee for saves.

Loperfido has now started four straight games since being called up from Triple-A and is 5-for-11 in his first three games with one home run, one run, five RBI, and two strikeouts. The 26-year-old drastically reduced his strikeout rate in Triple-A this season thanks to a more selective approach. He still swings and misses a little more than you’d like, but he has the power to make up for it and that could make him an intriguing gamble in deeper formats right now.
