Michael Harris II is working with hitting coach Tim Hyers to “clean up a few things mechanically and then get back to getting balls in the strike zone.”

Harris entered Sunday ranked in the bottom second percentile in Chase Rate. He also hasn’t drawn a walk in his past 130 plate appearances, so his approach could certainly use some tweaking. Hyers believes it’s the normal growing pains of a young hitter who is “spiraling” and trying to do too much. Atlanta has given Harris a few days off to “reset,” and they hope the continued focus on mechanics and swing decisions will get Harris “turned around in a heartbeat,”
