Burger wound up on the injured list back in late June with a left oblique strain and shouldnât require more than a couple rehab contests to get back up to speed. Heâll take over as the Rangersâ primary first baseman once heâs ready to return.

Josh Smith is also taking a seat on Monday night with lefty Trevor Rogers taking the hill for Baltimore at Globe Life Field. The 22-year-old former top prospect is in the midst of a seven-game hitting streak, batting .357 (10-for-28) with three steals during that span. Itâll be Michael Helman getting his first start in center field with Justin Foscue filling in at the cold corner.

Harris entered Sunday ranked in the bottom second percentile in Chase Rate. He also hasnât drawn a walk in his past 130 plate appearances, so his approach could certainly use some tweaking. Hyers believes itâs the normal growing pains of a young hitter who is âspiralingâ and trying to do too much. Atlanta has given Harris a few days off to âreset,â and they hope the continued focus on mechanics and swing decisions will get Harris âturned around in a heartbeat,â

The 30-year-old outfielder seems to be one of the most likely players to be moved prior to the trade deadline, with the Mets, Guardians and Phillies among the teams expected to be interested. Even if itâs not Mullins, it sounds like the Astros are going to be in the market for an upgrade in the outfield over the next month.
